Wizard staff competition will be held the friday of Salton Sea 3.
This event consists of drinking beer and a lot of tape.
Rules
1. Drink beer
2 Open new beer and put old beer on bottom of new beer.
3. Tape old beer to new beer.
4. Repeat rules 1-3
5. Winner is chosen by length of beers and ability to stand
6. If you fall asleep your staff will be disqualified and a new staff must be started.
Winner will be awarded a hand made patch made by myself and Coe Coe Butterfingers
ps. Please bring some extra tape just in case I run out. Beer is not provided by me only by participants.

Im going if no rain. Im in for the porta potties ( shit squatting drunk is no fun, trust me, we americans have no practice) and bombay beach sat afternoon. the ride out and back was the hightlight for me of the 2010 trip. drinking beer next to that stank ass sea was wonderful. Gotta hit Ski Inn as well. there is also a great bar in Niland I hit on the way back solo. Fun people. 2 dollar beers! See ya there

50 odd people going to the restroom randomly outdoors for 4 days doesn't really seem a) healthy, b) likely to appeal to a lot of folks that might otherwise come, or c) a great way to improve the reputation of the RIdazz at Slab City, and some of those Ridazz have tried pretty hard to keep us from being unwelcome.
I'm not saying we need to have folks roll up with toilets and trailers with hot showers, but some basic porta potties are probably called for.
If somebody will be there Thursday / Monday to take delivery / arrange for pickup, I'll be happy to make the calls.

I doubt it's going to be the presence of 3 or 4 porta potties that puts the group on law enforcement radar.
If each person kicks in $5-10, it wouldn't be much more expensive than each person buying 5 gallon buckets and trashcan liners, and we wouldn't have to deal with disposing of it afterward.
It's got less to do with daintiness and more to do with basic sanitation and respect for the neighborhood.
Nobody's going to stop anyone who really wants to from using a bucket or digging a hole, but it's nice to have options.

actually its one of the smartest things we can do. When LE drives by, and they always do, they will see the encampment the bonfire and tons of cars. If they see that we are responsible enough to have porta pottys they leave us alone. We put the porta potty in plain view because of that.
leaving a bunch of shit in the ground is not going to go over well with the people that live out there either.

i was talking to joel about skull x skull and how, after 6 years, its still more important than ever to do events like this. all the police, all the injuries, all the drama, all the monies - all worth it to gather ridazz from across the country together for one weekend every year. so many people building/contributing/creating with the express purpose of giving back to others and celebrating the people who arent with us anymore.
the all hardware Tomatoes tribute 'set' i played in 2011 is still my favorite musical performances ever, screaming his name over layers of bit crushed bass as dusk enveloped hitchhikers camp, trying to maintain on mush and 3 4 lokos, tomatoes ghost hovering somewhere over the ridge, waving a knife and speaking softly. !!!
