it looks like Roadblock's slimey hit and run perpetrator Glenn Gritzner is trying to pull some weak SEO shit on google and is pushing down articles about his hit and run.
If you want to get a lil burst of serotonin and help people learn the truth about how this scumbag left our friend for dead on the side of the road, do a google search for Glenn Gritzner and click on any link about the hit and run. (dont click on his personal pages/twitter, it counteracts the plan!)
Also be aware that because of fucking google+ you might have personalized results with links from friends - I think it might be more beneficial for our purposes to scroll down and click on links that dont have the 'friend' icon next to them.
It might also help persuade the google zeitgeist if you post links on your own blog/webspace (not facebook!) if you feel so inclined - the more links to this article, the more the spiders crawl over it.
newarkhose,
great idea, thanks for posting this. Great idea!
I don't think Glenn Gritzner is a "scumbag".
We all have lapses in judgement and I am sure there is more to know about Glenn Gritzner than how he behaved that night, and how he has dealt with this.
I think Glenn Gritzner would have been a lot smarter to try and seek contrition and use this as a teaching moment.
Instead we have Glenn Gritzner , this archetypal bad guy (try saying his name in any bad guy voice) trying to pay away history, trying to pay away truth, trying to pay away never really having had to take any responsibility for his actions that night.
If Glenn Gritzner "fix" his googleability its only fair that we try and fix them back.
A few years back this guy Glenn Gritzner hit a friend of mine with his newish Jaguar, he stopped for a second to see if his victim was alive, then fled the scene. Leaving my friend with a totaled bike, hospital bills, and missed work.
With no small amount of effort, my friend relentlessly tracked him down, gathered evidence, and handed it to the cops, so Glenn Gritzner could be prosecuted, and get what was coming to him: a very stern (but gentle) slap on the wrist.
Now it turns out that Glenn Gritzner, is paying money to "fix" his google rankings, so the story of what he did will fade into oblivion. He has a right to move on with his life.
But history and what happened belongs to all of us and if you want to help keep the truth about what happened that night from getting buried, please visit or share the following links (they go to the same place) and/or Repost this. kthxbai. ;-)
this dude almost ruined roadblocks life and now hes trying to white wash what he did from the net - hes obviously paying someone to do major SEO work - it looks like hes signed up for every bullshit social network on the internet, including multiple twitters, pinintrest and everything inbetween - they all say the same thing, and it goes past page 7 in the results - not cool.
I actually find it very insulting that this piece of shit tried to get away with almost killing roadblock and now hes trying to hide what he did again, this time using everyones favorite medium. I think its important for prospective clients and the people in the city who he supposedly works with to know that he almost murdered someone with his car and tried to cover it up.
If anyone has time on their hands and likes the satisfaction that comes with stealth revenge, I would recommend going to and signing up for every website his name is associated with and posting a comment linking to that LA weekly article. (or mark his profiles as spam!) Also I think google indexes twitter, so tweets with the hashtag #GlennGritzner and the link could help as well.
mannnnnn.... I dont know how I feel about all this y'all. I love you for the thought. being that he's a powerful lobbyist... I wonder if there is a way to use this as an opportunity to get something done at the state level regarding hit and run law? thanks for the support everyone. I do appreciate it. Wondering if we can somehow channel this into a win for cyclists in CA through political means.
what if Gritzner were sincerely sorry for what he did and were to use his power in govt to help make amends?
I love your compassion and forgiveness RB, but everything about this highlights how fucked up our justice system is (and how marginalized cyclists are) - apathy on the part of the LAPD, pussy ass judges (like in the celine mahdavi case!) and a city bureaucrat getting a slap on the wrist for a crime that obviously calls for a more severe sentence. this dude is seriously paying more for a SEO specialist than the fine that was handed down to him - running a red light(on a bike!) has a bigger fine than what he had to pay.
He sounds like someone who values his public image, maybe he could be persuaded to donate some money and time towards improving bicycle infrastructure in LA, maybe someone can act as an intermediary (AT???) to discuss his current muddy face in the press and how he can turn it around by becoming an outspoken critic of the LAPD's lax prosecution of hit and run drivers. Or maybe hell just continue to be a rich asshole and drive his jaguar around LA recklessly - with his fine being so small he can most likely afford a hit and run collision with a cyclist every month and not feel the pinch in his wallet. He obviously didn't have enough compassion to stop and help Roadblock, I have no doubt he would lack that same conviction the next time it happens...
"what if Gritzner were sincerely sorry for what he did and were to use his power in govt to help make amends?"
That's kind of an important question for me. We all make mistakes and I'm in favor of giving everyone a second chance, but judging by his actions so far regarding this incident, I haven't seen much remorse or contrition.
But this is also about more than an individual, or this single, highly visible incident. We're only talking about Glen Gritzner because he got caught - what about all the other hit & runs where the victim isn't able to pursue the case at all?
As mentioned in the Streetsblogs article, Jesus Castillo was killed a few weeks earlier a block away from the site of Roadblock's incident - yes, another hit and run in which the perpetrator was only tracked down because some bystanders got his license plate. He was given a two year sentence for ending a cyclist's life.
Instead we have Glenn Gritzner , this archetypal bad guy (try saying his name in any bad guy voice) trying to pay away history, trying to pay away truth, trying to pay away never really having had to take any responsibility for his actions that night.
1984!!!!!
Don't let Big Brother brainwash you!!!
On another note, good job y'alls! Google also auto searches "hit n run" on the iPhone when entering Glen Gritzner's name!

You've never read 1984 by George Orwell? It's about a society who's oppressed by Big Brother and its mind control.
What you typed (what I put in italics) could very well be part of that book. If you haven't read it, I reccomend it! It's a quick read since it's so interesting! This is an excerpt from the book, pretty relative to the topic of trying to hide the past.
“He who controls the past controls the future. He who controls the present controls the past.”

Hi, I landed on this page after doing a search for "nude pictures of PC" but all I can find is a bunch of crap about some guy named Glenn Gritzner and his hit and run. What's going on?
