R.I.P. HUELL HOWSER
Thread started by

He was California's Gold.
Let's do a ride in his memory.
Who wants to help and give ideas on a date, what we should do, places to ride, etc.?
Discuss here or email me joe.borfo at gmail.com if you're shy.

Awesome.
I was thinking we could wear bright color Hawaiian shirts. hold microphones and interview each other the whole ride. Just to be silly. Done respectfully of course. I don't think it would be inappropriate to have fun imitating him.
Anything else? Any interest?

Rest in Peace, man.
A search shows that there have been several Huell-related threads on MR over the years.

Friends tell me he would drink regularly at the tiki bar by old KCET, might be a good meetup spot?
The possibility for themes are as endless as his curiosity and love of culture...

love the goofy smile in his voice as he says 'Mr Edwin Ward was doin' some addin' and subtractin' of accounts up in the front office!'
You made marmelade with the Wards buckchin?

Yeah I work there doing graphics and printing. We could stop there if there is a ride. But sierra madre is kind of far.

epic idea! I'm sad that he passed without our dream of having him on a ride came true... this would be a really fun way to memorialize him.

Perfect! Best ride to celebrate Huell in a reasonable time-frame.
See you tonight in my most AMAZING garb that I can gather. Comon' LOUIE!

Yeah, I'm thinking I'll most likely be there. Not exactly sure where I'll be riding from just yet.

Oh and if you have any question as to whether HH was one of "our people" ... ok ok he was everybody's people ... nevertheless
Check out the 101 episodes he did of
California's Green (and no this is not his MOM side ... this is his Eco village side)
I miss this guy already.
