The experiment to follow Santacon by bike was pretty fun for some last year, but there was confusion by theorganizers that there were no busses, and there were. Not sure exactly whats going down this year, but you can put in your input to the Organizers by filling out this survey. http://is.gd/4Jo0X
The organizers aren't very bike minded folks though. There's a free form entry part where you can mention bikes... However,
You are always welcome to organize it as a ride like last year and due your own version. But I usually try to stick with the core clump of Santae. As long as mahem and confusion ensues, then it's working fine.
I looked at the thread from last year and the biggest complaint from us was about where our money went? they had buses.....and they bought ice for the 4100 bar parking lot...but for the cyclists.....other than that, no free drinks as I guess that was sorta promised or we were led to believe we would have drink tickets somewhere.......i don't know the whole story....people went inside el cid, hollywood and highland was a no go, then a bar down the street from there, then jumbo's clown room.....i bailed out at that point....
I think it should be done on bikes again but organized better...we stayed too long at the liquor store parking lot near hyperion and sunset....it could be a Los Angelopes style ride.....

ADM! (ay dios mio!) I promised my momma I wouldn't drink before sunset and its working. HOTDOG & DUCT TAPE SANTA IS THIRSTY.

I think I'm going to do both santacons. The pedustran one, and the bike one.
I had an email today on giving my feedback, and boy did I ever!! I let them know the buses sucked, and no drinkys sucked too. They got this one time to fix the problems from last year, or all the kids get a chunk of coal. I also mentioned that bicycles would be cool, but I don't see that happening. We'll just have to see what is planned. Then decide on the bike ride.
