Just heard the news.
I\'m not sure how she went, but I think she wanted to go out quietly.
She lived so brightly and inspired us all.
Thank you, Kat. You are the greatest rida.

Barley took a great photo of Barry, me and Kat on a RWNN.
That photo, which I can't find at the moment, said it all.
She was hugging both of us old geezers and we all sported exuberant grins.
THAT is what Kat brought to the party.

Look up The Ride With No Name in the pictures gallery, 2nd page 4th row, 4th column. Maybe that's the picture you're talking about?

UPDATE:
From Mary Namey (I think Kat's Sister)
"With a heavy heart, I am letting everyone know that Kat unexpectedly passed on Friday evening, 5/15. She was found on a bench, at a bus stop, halfway between the hospital she was discharged from and her home. She was taken to the hospital for a drug overdose. Upon arrival she was alert and did express symptoms of feeling ill, not drug related. The ER director did advise their staff to admit and isolate her for possible Covid symptoms, however she left against medical advice. After many phone calls, we have no further information at this time. Her death is pending results from the coroner and further investigation with the LAPD.
We all know who Kathryn was. She was undeniably the strongest, most carefree woman — she had the largest and most caring heart. You may have went to school with, biked alongside, worked, or volunteered with her. It’s also very possible you met her by random chance. Whatever way, Kat was always smiling and excited to be present with us, and hear our story.
This news will feel differently for all of us, and that’s okay. I am here for you. I am not as lively, nor funny, but I will do my very best to be there for you, just like she would be.
We are bringing her home soon and will plan a celebration of life at a later date.
Someone had already said it, but I found comfort in it — Pedal in Peace, Kat"

I'm smiling and crying right now. The memories I had with you, as brief as they where are such a blessing that I will always cherish. Thank you so much .
I don't know if people knew this side of you or ever realized it was happening because you gave off an impression of strong roughness, but you had to be the slickest person I ever encountered. Oh the charm you had. You always gave the best hugs
In the last six months I knew we where going to need a new welder at my work. I heard you became a welder. Even thou it has been years since I seen you I had a little fantasy that you would end up working with us I would assist you with your weld jobs, We would hang out, share coffee, waters, stories, laughs, work on G jobs together, go riding do and other beach stuff at lunch.. I'm sorry you left us so soon. I sure you will be lighting up the life's, souls whatever is out there of others beings wherever you may end up next.
You where and are such a wonderful person
I love you Kathryn forever and through eternity

I regret I never got to know her well. I mean we exchanged many hugs and nice chats, but I really liked her personality and I'm sure we would have been close friends if we had the chance. I admired her from a distance and respected her free and open nature.
Pedal in Peace, Kit Kat.
