Tackling Hit & Runs

I recently began writing blogs for StreetsblogLA, my main focus has been on Hit & Runs. I revisited with Louis Deliz, Victim in 2009 and just this week had the chance to sit down with a remarkable man, Paul Livingston. I'm pressed to get the word out as the city has begun the "Share the Road" campaign, I feel that bringing any and all awareness to this issue is imperative to the safety of all of us on the road. If you have a minute, please read these inspiring stories and if you know of anyone who needs help or direction, etc. feel free to have them contact myself or Roadblock. Thank you!!

Is there a main root directory where your articles are written? Or are these your first 2? Thank you for writing this up. Would like to share them and spread the word.

First, thanks for covering these stories. The damage done to people and property due to a shitty road design paradigm is for the most part invisible to most people and politicians in this country. Keep covering these crashes and their aftermaths.
Second, there is a site that just went live that is a font of car crash footage and still images. These guys follow police scanners around and grab footage to sell to local news. They have an immense coverage of the carnage done on a daily basis on the streets of LA.
This carnage needs to be followed on a daily basis. The horrific crashes, the dead bodies, the destroyed bodies, need to become a public spectacle again or nobody will recognize that LA is in the midst of a hit and run and pedestrian collision crisis. Our stats quo blinders and the media's perspective-less coverage of car crashes allows those in power to keep making shitty and unsafe decisions regarding human life and well being in the streets.
Consider a daily or weekly Car-nage post on the site rounding up the recorded crashes across the county or the city of LA. People will get the gist. The homicide map did a lot for the LA Times and showed the progress our city has had in lowering the homicide rates. The safe focus needs to be put on car crashes.
