RACE #1
The Marathon Crash Race
March 17th 2013
The Marathon Crash Race is a road race across Los Angeles from the East to the Beach. The course is the pre-dawn Marathon route - approximately 26 miles of LA streets. At 4AM, Marathon workers begin to barricade the streets and shortly after that is when this race takes place. This is the world's largest unsanctioned, non-permited race. However we are working with the City of Los Angeles and the LAPD to facilitate safe passage. First place Mens / Womens / Fixed Gear / Free-Wheel will receive Wolfpack Hustle Dog Tags. We will attempt to capture the top 16 finishers in each category who will receive points in the series and free entry to Race #2.
REGISTRATION IS A 2 STEP PROCESS AND IT'S FREE
Step 1
We want EVERYONE to register and acknowledge the seriousness that is the Marathon Crash Race by signing waivers acknowledging your individual responsibility to ride safe and to protect others out there on the road including pedestrians and car drivers..
You must
register ONLINE (FREE) at City Grounds .com to RESERVE your number.
Step 2
Once you have completed step one, you must now retrieve your bib number at the
Registration Party on March 16th between 4pm and 10pm
YOU MUST REGISTER ONLINE THEN RETRIEVE YOUR NUMBER AT THE REGISTRATION PARTY.
THERE WILL BE NO REGISTRATION AT TANG'S DONUT. (Ain noboday got time fo dat)
IF YOU DONT HAVE A PROPERLY PLACED OFFICIAL BIB NUMBER YOU ARE NOT PART OF THIS RACE.
If you do not have an official race number bib we wont be able to track your finish
and you will be disqualified no matter your physical placing.

Serious question: Will there be a division for Tandems? Freak Bikes? Cargo Bikes? I thought it was awesome how those other bikes got a chance at the drag race.

Anyone wanna hang out after the registration party? I'm not sure I want to head all the way back home for a few hours and then come back down. We could, play cribbage, play Beatles Rockband, fifa soccer, drinking games, etc.
