This may be a bit of a shock to those of you who knew him. I just got word from Dany Mieja that Ray passed from natural causes.
He was an old school Rida. He helped with the Dia de los Bicicletas Muertos Rides. He helped with the old All City Toy Rides. He was a really nice kick back guy. I'm going to miss him.
What a fucking shitty year.
RIDE ON, RAY!
WE WON'T FORGET YOU.

Where it all started, met my brother from another mother on this forum when he had an idea about a dia de los muertos ride. He came uo with some iconic t shirts..
Many are still seen around LA.
That led to a great friendship and many trips to see the world.
This guy always gave and gave to orhers and loved to do the rides just to see others smiling.
Miss him..
Ride on!!!

Get ready for a big November tribute ride everyone.
It's a real shame he had to go so soon..

Such sad news.
I haven't seen Raymond in several years, but I see I've still got his number in my phone.

A few years ago I ran into Ray and mentioned that Midnight Ridazz #35 - La Noche de los Biciclistas Muertos was my first MR ride. It was an insanely positive and fun introduction to the community of ridazz and I had a blast on that ride.
I thanked him for that experience, the shirts & being a really chill dude. He was stoked to hear it and really humble about all of that. Talked about how everyone on the ride makes the ride what it is and how much help others put in.
Very sad to hear this.
Ride in peace!

He looks a little young for "Natural causes". Well, another one. What a bummer. :(

So I've changed my November ride to honor Raymond and the many amazing ridazz that have touched our lives and left us. Please let me know if anyone would like to help.

I went on the first of those rides and it was sort of the "apex" of the experience of Ridazz midnight madness and mad love..for me at least. That shirt was really good I didn't get one but I still have the spoke card. I feel bad for people who missed out on the "LA Bike Scene" when it was still so beautiful...innocent really.
Thanks Borfo for helping to keep the dream alive...

Thanks palucha. I've got some ideas for you. I'm willing to help. But not sure what frame of mind people will be in after election day...
