We don't need a reparchage after party for people with different genitals to have permission to hang out with us and pay money to get into whatever we're going to do at the end.

I think this is the most hilarious ride ever. It's like putting out a notice for a guaranteed
SAUSAGE PARTY.
It's not like every other fucking ride in town lacks female presence which is the worst shit ever. Ride on sausages! The after party is gonna be great! more sausages!
Right, worst ride ever - because what makes a ride a ride is the chance someone with a vagina will be there. What counts is the appeal to some fascist, ignorant, teenager with a twat from Boyle Heights. What counts is the man-gina appeal.
You'll notice that the language for this ride is very similar to the Ovarian language and mission, with the gender roles reversed.
Where is the "You go boy!"
Sausage Party is fucking right (or those who would like to have sausages). Most of the rides are male only anyway - why not be openly so? Why not advocate for a bigoted pro-male vision of cycling in LA?
Oh? We won't be perv/embraced by the liberal crowd that spanks off to Ovarian Psycho porn online? Ooh yeah baby, give me a another angle to that "gang sign" you gals came up with.
Reheated 1960's rheotric with a nice pair of tits ... on wheels! Woah! My mind is BLOWN.
Free yogurt in a cup to the first 10 haters to show up on 9/11 to celebrate 9/11 with their cocks in the hands and their bikes under their bodies.
Nothing wrong with a bikes and men hanging out intentionally.
Hey, we would allow men to drink from this water fountain but unfortunately some teenage boys vandalized one once so we have to ban all people with genitals similar to those boys, unless they prefer to dress and act like a woman.
You would be able to dance on this dance floor but there is a guy who said something really disgusting here once and so anyone with chromosomes like him has to be banned from dancing here.
Here: have some pictures. Thanks for the re-tweet and the positive press about our fountain and our dance floor. Yeah, we got the idea from all the fountains and dance floors that y'all have been installing in this city using a radically inclusive ethos and a concern for your fellow citizen. All those years of you making this something we would even want to do with ourselves - encouragement, material support, free publicity. Thx. Cool.
But, you know what? Those teenagers and that one guy - gah! They are just terrible creepers. So how about you stay behind the rape-fence there and keep your hand where we can see them.
Oh my, pre-baked conclusions with rationalizing to make it all sound okay? Awesome! Now I have a shorthand name for it: "feminist ethics".
Here are some cocktacular ethics: don't piss in the well you drink from.
Men have had a central role in making the LA bike scene inclusive of female riders. Men have had a large role in lobbying for positive change in city hall to benefit all cyclists. Men are caring. Men make the world a better place. Men don't deserve to be labelled as a negative influence while a group of women whore their identity out and exploit taboos against violence against women to in turn be violent, to be a negative influence.
There is no solidarity with the female riders on their rides. The women on their rides who are not part of their little cliqua are chattle, to be herded here and there to make an image statement about the power of image and the commodification of their own identity. "Look, I can wave access to my vagina around and make the world talk about me"
Oh, hooray!
Look, on Tuesday 9/11 I can wave my cock around and have a circlejerk with a bunch of same-sex strangers! Donations please! Thumbs up and a Facebook like, all the way right?

I am having fun jerking off right now. Playing with yourself sounds kind of stupid.
Maybe we can all have a circlejerk on the ride? We can donate our sperm to your education fund, perhaps.
We'll use access to our cocks as the reason to exclude people without a penis - since the penis is why we are important and worth protecting, and why we are unquestioningly deserving of the right to harass, abuse, molest, and discriminate against people with the other set of genitals.
Right?
Or does this only work for people with vaginas? Please, you have one - illuminate us all.

Question for the ride leader: My friend and Steve and I are thinking of going on this ride. Trouble is he is totally Puddywhipped. He has nuts -as the ride requires- but they are stored in his girlfriend's purse. Is it ok if she comes along too??
Jk about that last post. I bet there is no real ride leader; he is just another one of those trolls who doesnt exist or go to rides, like that MMA guy that wanted to beat up Borfo that one time.
Loved this ride. The impromptu skating sesh going down a little after we got to the main stop was ill. That kid from Missouri is gonna be going places. Sick transitions.
Sure, many men in LA are doing good things to make the word a better place. But you, with your hatred toward a bunch of young Latina women with a social justice agenda, are not one of those men. Women do not appreciate men calling them or their vaginas "twats" or "snatches." And what would you know about solidarity on the luna rides? I've been on a few of the Ovarian Psycos rides and I certainly never felt excluded or like chattle. On the contrary, the vibe was very inclusive and genuine. My criticism would be that the ride was slow and short, but that was because every effort was made to be inclusive, as there were women on the ride who had not been on a bike since their childhood.
"Sure, you are right - but we still think the most important part of you is between your legs so kindly fuck off. PR praise, donations, and applications to perv off our pictures to the right please"
I don't undersand why the Brovarian ride descriptions and rhetoric, which are simply a male-focused inversion of the Ovarian ride descriptions and rhetoric, is not so celebrated by the wider community?
The vibe on the Luna Rides is inclusive if you have a vagina or identify as someone who would like to have a vagina. So where are the high fives and newspaper articles for people with a penis gathering to deal with being people with a penis - to the exclusion of others?
Oh no! men getting together and talking in a male-defined and dominated group! It is a military threat! It is an affront to the value of our vaginas! It is a conspiracy!
I thought same sex discrimination was what the ride scene in LA was all about, no? I thought that is how we got this far in city hall and the mainstream press - by selling our sexual identities to the wider community in exchange for praise while dumping on the opposite gender for being rude enough to exist.

It's akin to making a ride that's for white people only (whining "Black Kids on Bikes have their ride!"). Or perhaps a ride for U.S. patriots, to the exclusion of immigrants. Or how about a straight people ride, excluding the gays? The Brovarian whatever is not being celebrated because it's hateful.
OP has a valid premise in presenting an analog to the Ovarian ride & question it as non-inclusive.
The mock 'we're a gang' stuff play is cheesy but quite a few rides are coated with that kind of Velveeta, don't hear anyone decrying that.
The misogyny distracts from the validity of OP's premise, and appears to be what you are taking issue with? Take that away, or replace it with a more general attitude of misanthropy and you have no argument.
OP offers a promise of humor, but the execution is half assed... A fascist, an ignorant teenager & some twat from Boyle Heights walk into a bar. What's the punchline? Egg merchants was comedy gold.

If you can't tell the difference between exclusion as a form of exerting dominance and exclusion as an attempt to create a space isolated from domination... then you might be a white male rida.
If you can't tell the difference between metonymy as patronization and diminishment and metonymy as reclamation of parts of oneself from which one has been made to feel alienated... then you might be a white male rida.
If you can't tell the difference between people trying to stop you from doing your own thing and people trying to stop you from waging a war of belittlement intimidation upon people doing their own thing... then you might be a white male rida (and a fucking unimaginative bully).
If any of you seriously wanted to have a serious discussion of gender politics, I am sure there would be women who would gladly school you. But as long as you approvingly refer to them as "egg merchants," I assure you that none will participate in this sad fucking argument.
Myself, I am done. If for no other reason than I don't like to argue with people on the internet who don't even have the courage to make their real identity known. This is some big stand you all are anonymously taking. Score one for the penises! HIGH FIVE!
2nd Tuesday monthly we meet at home girl cafe right across the china town station.
BALL SO BIG WE CANT RIDE SITTING DOWN SO STAND UP AND JOIN THE BRO-VARIANS Register at once Complete and turn in you selective service card NOW!!
hah, yeah, totally trying to do that, pc. Or maybe just joking about "LAPD's reasons" for imposing themselves in the scene. You know, all these teenagers with raging hormones need to be escorted around town by boys in blue with guns.

If you can't deal with exclusion, then why support a bunch of hypocritical teenage self-pimping bike gangsters?
Just because you have a penis does not mean you dominate anyone. You might masturbate to your own shameful thoughts about ovarians if ... your name is theroyal academy

Derpa derpa derpa, you don't get the point of bringing up the fact that BLACK KIDS ON BIKES ALLOW ALL RIDERS ON THEIR RIDES.
Nobody, except for real, actual, racist/sexist pieces of shit, exclude people from their rides based on the equipment between their legs. Oh, well nobody except the racist, sexist, ovas.
Hey everyone! Let's write a newspaper article about that! How positive is that? Awesome! Yeah! You go girls! You hit, punch, insult, demean your way to the top.

Once our identities are known, I wonder what the noble white knight will do? Will he find out phone numbers and make threats? Yes. Will he try and get us fired or ruin our professional careers? Yes.
What is the value in giving you, and hate-mongers like you, the equipment you need to terrorize someone whose opinion about the value of male members of society differs from yours?
You are done because you have no valuable response to add: you support gender based bigotry. You support twisting the radical inclusivity of LA's ride culture to support the media hopes and dreams of a group of people proud of dumping on others based on their genitals.
The bike advocacy world, the bike world, the bike ride world has been a largely male space. Of course, the needs and views of women need to, and are, becoming a larger part of that - but to exclude anyone who dared to be born with a penis from a ride while holding out your hand and expecting mainstream culture to embrace you ... don't be surprised when reasonable people question your motives.
There is a big bourgeois bike planning summit in Long Beach that is filled with educated middle and upper class women interested in expanding the world of cycling amongst people who were born with ovaries. Do they have a sign at the door that says, "No XY allowed"? Why not? Because the value of a person is not wholly wrapped up in their genitals - it is in the content of their character.
Members of the blessed-to-born-a-girl ovas are violent, racist, assholes. So why not make our own hypocritical group based around the other set of genitals and see what happens? Maybe this is the time to get men together and figure out what it even means to be the target of so many negative ideas about our identities.
If you are raped and call a hotline - will they take your call if you are a man? Will you have a shelter to stay in if your wife or girlfriend abuses you? Will the state rush in and protect you from aggressive and violent members of our society? Will the state pay you to take care of your kids? Do you have a right to opt out of the draft? In family court will your interests be taken into consideration?
In between being a "white male dominator", of course. Like you know what the fuck you are talking about.

Trying to understand the point of this ride. Does it exist solely to pick on/ mock another ride?
The single valid premise is:
Female rides are non-inclusive & male only rides are non-inclusive
We don't exist in a vacuum. Seems easy to understand why a female-only ride exists. Less easy to understand why a male-only ride exists.
So fine, let's break bicyclist (US) up by gender and we have
US | THEM
An ad hominem attack is not really useful for a winning position. Why stop at bringing race into it, include dietary preference & socioeconomic status too. Then we end with
US | THEM | & THEM | THEM too | Those People | ...
I ghosted out pro-walk pro-bike yesterday. I learned that boys & girls are different.
9:30am - 10:15am
Girls on Bikes
Women are not equally represented in the growing number of cyclists. Results of a recent survey suggest bicycle travel patterns, attitudes, and experiences with bicycling start at youth, differing between boys and girls. This poster will highlight gendered patterns in youth bicycling that should be considered when designing bicycling education and encouragement programs that will effectively reach young girls and influence them to become lifelong riders.

I'm actually a netarchist, if you must know. I believe that all important decisions should be made by people who vainly attempt to advance their adolescent weltanschauung by making weak jokes on web fora. So basically, me, markd, and deezovas would take turns guiding the violent apparatus of the State.
Not really sure what your beef is, pretty confident i dont care. But i couldnt get why you were so hung up on my comment over all this other material. i reread my first comment where i said 'male only', though i meant 'female only'.
As in female only rides brought the increase in liasions, haha, jokin as if cops are a bunch of creepers

I haven't personally attended the passage, ovas or cockturnal rides. I have been an a few midnight ridazz rides. I like the ridazz rides, they are cool & fun. To me, it's kind of like critical mass with a party atmosphere. I can't recall a bad time on a ridazz ride.
I'm not a big person in the midnight ridazz neighborhood, I'm sorry if I pissed off the royalacademy, I did recycle some of the trollspeech in a post and that hate shit makes everyone grrr. I think Passage ride is cool and wish I could attend some day. I haven't been on the ovarian ride, but I think it's fucking cool that it exists. I think it take some intelligence to survey your current surroundings, and innovate a woman positive bike ride in Los Angeles. Hats off to the Ovarian Pscos. I couldn't go on the brovarion ride on 9/11 but I rode my bike that day and didn't get bombed on. I did not get my toadstools together for this past Friday's ride but I try to make the big mamma jamma as often as I can.
It makes me happy to hear people who have not biked since childhood discovered a supportive atmosphere in the Ovarion Psychos ride. That sounds like a good thing to me.
When will the Royold Acadumpster give us his dissertation on gender? As long as I can define the limits of debate beforehand, I cam cool with it. He/she/it seems to think that setting boundaries of acceptability in an anonymous online forum before being able to speak "openly" is essential.
So, groundrules:
- Men bad, women good.
- Rape and domination only happens to women, or only matters when it happens to women.
- All reference to male contributions to cycling, to male struggle for indentity, for male reproductive freedom are automatically invalid because patriarchy.
- If you are confused or feel you are losing, patriarchy is to blame.
Oh no! A picture of a mutilated dog, what will I do with my self?
Do you think that this dog is a stand-in for your own masculinity? I think it is. I think it represents what your own male identity is to you: a gay joke.
Being born male is worth discriminating against others, right? I mean, if possessing a vagina is grounds for kicking people off of rides then maybe being male is grounds for doing the same. Uh oh, looks like theroyalacademy is going to hit me with his feather pillows of outrage on this one.
