 Popular opinion on FB is that if he didn't mouth off he wouldn't have been taken in and arrested. My question is, why did he walks his bike home instead of riding after being release from the custody of NYPD?

No no, but basically Baldwin was salmoning on 16th St., the cops stopped him, he couldn't or wouldn't show ID, so they took him in. He also got "loud," and since there's no First Amendment in the quiet burg of New York City, this bought him an additional Dis Con charge. The end.
