i took a bunch of photos last night. there are a few cool pics i wanna put up in the gallery but its saying that the pic isnt meeting the requirements to post. the pics are definitley smaller than a MB and i don tthink its bigger than 700 pixels. i cant figure out what im doing wrong.

we going to have some fun tomorrow night.
Don't know if we will need the usual shenanigans to get the ride pumped up. Seeing how the month has been, and the heat will be, I think a mellow ride through the Valley will with all of you will do the trick.
I was thinking we should head Northward this time, we ain't never been up there except for the CSUN run. Let see where this will go, remember critical mass, no leaders, the front calls the direction. Get there and lead.
I'm making a song list for tomorrow. HA! your all going to be captive to my music taste. You will like, I'll have a little bit for everyone, or a little bit of everything I like.
Come prepare, if your bringing a new rider, look out for them. Make sure the bike is running properly, inflate the tires, brings some cold water and some other cold liquids. Think ahead, Rite Aid, and Cvs usually has the sweet deal on the beverages. Dress scantly, it's hot out in this valley. Forecast say 85F at 8pm and 78F at 11pm, yes it is going to cool off as we go along.

Hmm... I need to do a seperate sub and tweeter thing. That would pretty sweet. I like this guys set up. I'm still curious on the mounting... I think the hooks hang on to the front of the rack (near the seat) but I'm curious how he stays on the rack. No straps. I will have to post some comments on this guys site. Thanks Allen...

Great ride everyone. Shiet... it's not good to bike on an empty stomach... drink 3 sparks, and sprint with Sonny and Paul towards the end. My head is spinning. But I'm eating Taco Bell now... I would've rather had Del Taco chili fries but the drive thru was long. Great ride again... and thanks for the tunes BBD!!!

Yeah, I get to come out tonight.
I'm hoping we go and ride where the x-mas lights are tonight. I wanted to go finds some neat-o valley displays last night, but it was Mr. You know who's birthday (couldn't miss that).
If you know some areas, that have some great displays, keep it in mind so we can check them out. Last year we went to Candy Kane lane in Woodland Hills, the displays where as impressive as years past.
Finally, if you are not going to the Storm the Bastille ride/meeting, take some time to email The Box and Encci an email about the Griffith Park light display, not allowing bicyclist on the route of holiday lights. This is for tonights BAC meeting email to 21202@illuminatela.com so they can read your opinion at the meetings.

Dope... Dope... Dope ride is the SFV Critical Mass. Great vibe and great idea riding to Candy Cane Ln. in Woodland Hills. BBD... the music through Candy Cane Ln. was perfect... especially that first song you played. Great people... and new faces. Last night, we had such a beautiful ride. The weather was unusually warm, except for the occasional strong headwinds, we couldn't have asked for better weather. 70F Beat last years 38F. I love seeing all the new people who came out to the ride. The ride worked out great, with random people taking over the lead at various times of the night.
We got to see some beautiful houses decorated, sang a Christmas carol, and possibly got observed by the police helicopter. I suspected that the helicopter, had nothing else going on, spotted us, and decided to see where we would go, and what we where doing.
Props to the blond girl from Santa Clarita, who didn't let a little fall, keep her from finishing of the ride.
Great people, and great vibes. Great story about JJ and a girl in the 1950's. Great pictures Al. Thanks for the U-turn Bruce, that house was really beautiful. If anybody in the valley wants to check that house out. I believe it was on Belmar, between Friar and Calvert in Woodland Hills. That is off Victory between Corbin and Tampa

I bought some battery powered led christmas lights at the Wal-Mart in Panorama City similar to these...
It was like under $10 and runs on 2 C batteries. The little battery compartment is cheap plastic really flimsy. Just reinforce it w/ tape of something so the batteries don't fly out. It has 8 flashing modes and is made by Sylvania. I'm sure other Wal-Marts should have them. The pic above involved a lot of tape and time put looks friggen cool rolling down the street.

I went to this ride last month. I ended up leading it. Which is retarded, because I know the valley like I know Zimbabwe (which is to say, not very well). It would make much more sense if an actual 818er led this time.

That was the best Valley ride I've ever been on. High points included:
The Fixie Chorus Line: 10 fixie riders in a row, riding arm in arm down the street.
A live Funderstorm broadcast from B-rad via cell phone via microphone via sound system.
Low point: Seeing Sexy's veiny cock.
Despite that, Best. Valley ride. Ever.

I would have never know that, the target parking structure was so high. Wish we would of hit that location, not so early in the ride. It had such a beautiful view. Hopefully SpeedyBrian will use it for one of the Cruz w/Us rides. I felt bad when we pulled in the parking structure and I saw that older security guard. Then after hearing the way he dealt with Al, I not only wish we would of hung out, I think we should go back to that spot often. That is the only prick we saw. What you saw HH, is a love pump.
It was such an Honor to get a call from The President OG himself, and have him address the ride about their awesome attitudes. Great use of the bully pulpit Mr. President. The ride was truly awesome.
Great crowd! Thanks to Limeyfly, and all his BIG MONEY for buying everybody a drink at the end of the ride. You truly are a cunt.

No worries about, "excitement" Handbone. We in the valley just have fun, we don't have to talk about it, we just do it. We are all about excitement and good rides in the valley. This SFV-CM is no exception.
About the tunes, I made a play list, and Harry is reported to bring the dtrailer. Hopefully on time this month. If you got a playlist already made, bring it. Just make sure it has a few different genres of music on it.
Does the girl have a bike? If not, do we need to get one for her to ride?

is the fast ride do laps around the CM ride. We say we are going to a certain destination, then the fast ride, does a route that goes around the CM ride to the destination. See how many times you can lap or go through the CM. (Just an Idea)
BICYkillers, maybe we can meet up, next month after the fast ride. I would think the leisure mix of riding and libations of CM won't mix with the seriousness and athletic performance of BICYkiller. But after your ride, maybe we all meet up and enjoy.

Finally got the guts, grease, oil and info sufficient to open up my squealing SRAM Dual Drive hub gear to see why it might be chirping and squealing and occasionally screeching.
As you can see, there was reason enough inside.
Lesson learned: Do not ever ride bike with hub gear through flooded intersection (Sherman Way and Fallbrook)!!!!
Hub gear all back together and will be riding it tonight!

hey guys! it's me, eboy, AKA the big guy in the little red electric hybrid bike from last night. it was my first ever ride with team midnight ridazz and i had a blast! the people were nice and friendly, and the ride was just what i needed to enjoy the city more.

Heard a reassurance on KCRW this morning for people in the valley not to worry, they are not being invaded, but there would be a Critical Mass, with bike riders out promoting cycling as an alternative, etc, etc.
Seemed like a reasonably positive if minor side note as they wrapped up their news program, just seemed a bit unexpected to hear about it at all on the radio. Are they keeping tabs on rides like this, or is someone promoting it?

I popped a spoke(?!?) in the last few blocks homeward yesterday, and the kid didn't take it down to the local shop this morning to get fixed/trued during the day. Not at all sure I will be able to get it fixed in time for tonight, so sad.

I ride for fun (not to make a statement that bikes are better then cars, etc). But last night I was impressed at how easy it is to get around the Valley on a bike. In city traffic a bike keeps up pretty well. Of coarse it helps that we have cool tunes to listen too and we go through red lights.... but still.

That's what I like about C-Mass no leader, until someone volunteered me :) Thanx Dan, it was great, the route I came up with was totally spur of the moment and I wish it was a little slower, at least in the beginning, but the tunnel twice, the Costco gas station twice, and that lap around the circle block twice totally made up for it. Oh and lets not forget the two laps around the Sunkist parking lot with the cop cars that was awesome too. Although there was too much stopping and drinking (when did Critical Mass become crank mob?) for me, the Ridazz were helpful, safe, and loud, and the faithful that ventured into the forbidden CVS parking lot with me truly made my night. I look forward to *officially* leading a Valley ride again soon!

Last night was cool! I started to get cold since we waited so long to go... and our group was small, 44 people...and our breaks were a bit long but you know what...
I still had lots of FUN!! Everybody did an awesome job figuring out where to go together... And when people got flats you guys fixed that shit super fast.

good story bout my lil fire hazard(my lil girl)
She was 5 and we were watching a smokey the bear commercial where one match burns the whole forrest down, at the end its says "Just one match can burn a whole forrest down" and i tell her see shelby just one match can burn a forrest down. she says to me "Well what can a whole pack do?" I was like Oh O i was blown alway and she was so serious it was hard not to laugh. But i do make sure matches and lighters are put away.
