do the rides often go south? midcity is an easy meetup point for me but the neighborhoods south of there are a bit questionable at night

don't need to worry about sketchy areas, as long as we keep the group together.
the ride has 4 leaders who know the route, 1 front, 1 middle ( corker), 2 back. so there is constant communication, if anyone has a problem.

depends on the mood of the people that show up. last month we ended up riding more and stopping less cuz only two people were drinking beer, making our stops shorter.

It was a cool ride. The rest stop at the LA River was cool. Had to fall out on Washington and Figueroa due to a flat and then I had to walk it back home from there. Damn streets are so lonely and dark.

The ride 8/7 was great. If I had any nit-pick complaint at all, it would be that going through downtown guys were just all over the road, and really didn't get the concept of "stay to the right", even after getting a warning from the LAPD. Even with 70 guys we can all STILL keep a lane open. Oh well. Shit happens. Anyway, the route was great and the pace was fast and fun. No taggers, jackers or drama. Everone was cool, and there was minimal drinking and smoking. Personally I'd rather ride than party, I can party anytime. Too many rides are lazy and go 3 miles just to pull over to drink for an hour. I like to ride long and fast, and this hit the mark. Great job Misfixed. I'll be back.

yeah those guys all over the road were the speedsters, trying to get to the front and pass me and everyone on the ride. every time after we turned and they kept going straight. eventually they got the message, without having to single them out or scream at them.
they even got to corking duties, towards the end of the ride.

the ride is open to anyone that wants to join us and ride, its not members only... if you want a spoke card show up and ride, as you would any other ride.
some people will say we don't give spoke card, thats because they don't stick with the ride and leave early.

if you're down there is this SICK ass spot on this cliff in the palisades, it's a good long ride like last night though, maybe 15-17 miles there from venice/western. but it's all flat until this one hill right at the end that goes to the cliff, but it's easily doable. i've got a great flat route there if you want

whatsup everybody i'm gonna be leading the ride this friday to pacific palisades, we're gonna have a blast so come prepared for a longer route (35-40 with some hills) and to get your party on. the posted route is only a possible route, it's not exact and there will be other park and liquor stops so please stay behind the leader because when you race ahead you overshoot turns and get people lost from the group

**FOR ANYBODY WHO HAS NOT TRIED MISFIXED, THIS IS THE ONE TO TRY***
misfixed random april 23rd's route is set.... with out being too specific, i can say expect to ride along the bike path down the LA river uninterrupted for miles (including 2 miles brand new paved), have a stop under the 6th street bridge, and enjoy a downhill that lasts about 5 minutes putting you above 20-25 mph........
this route is definitely not for the weak, but it's not a *fast* pace at all, about 30 miles and almost 100%completely flat, other than crossing the LA river on the 4th st and riverside/figueroa bridges there's only one hill.... yes, one..... but it is big..... and after that it's all downhill to the start. if you enjoy social rides that do really really fun and interesting routes, this is the one for you....
one liquor stop at the start, NO bullshit tolerated, that means no taggers or "coming up". the ride leaders ask all people to help enforce these rules, as every ride, kids come out thinking that it's okay to do these things...
we're just riding and having a sick fucking time.... thats all. try to make it out and enjoy it because i know this is going to be a fun ride....
