I really like Friday's schedule but have to be there at 9am. From 9-12 noon there's seminars on frame building. Three special hands-on Framebuilding seminars are available to the general public for $15 on Friday. I think that's also the price also includes entry that day. If not Friday, then Saturday is the next best day. Sunday looks like everyone wants to GTFO.
But yeah, I'm all for changing it to April so we can catch this.

the ride in 2 hours 30 minutes to get there
there can be only 3 bicycles per car

the three bikes per car thing isnt true. the conductor will put your bike in the baggage car without having to box it up free of charge if the bike racks are all filled.

Maybe you can get NathanSnider to go in with you and he can make a "make shift" pizza oven. That way you and mixemotions could have little pizzas to give out to people. Maybe you could get a dunking booth and raise money for the plight of the Pizzawolfs.
No better yet, you get a pizza company to sponsor your booth and they give out pizzas, then you don't have to pay money for the booth. They give Nathansnider a grant to show people how easy it is to make pizzaa ovens so people can pro-create their own pizza creations. Why not, then people will think about wanting to buy brand Sponsor pizzas. All the while the Angelopes are the custom bike portion connection to the show.
Better yet the Pizza company will give Nathan, Fuzzbeast and Spook a grant to make a pizza oven freak bike. You take the left over money they don't spend and make a dunk tank freak bike.
Why not? If you can make the ridazz bus happen, Surly you could make this happen.

Brad, unfortunately I don't know if the town hall meetings are going to happen any more. He did a successful (in his eyes) teleconference last time around. He is totally open and easily accessible guy, (like most house members are), My favorite move was going up to his convertible and giving him a piece of paper that said "IMPEACHMENT" on it at a holiday community parade and telling him to tell his speaker to put it back on the table. He was pretty startled by the move.

they dont have smoking cars. when i took the train to flagstaff in 07, you could get out for a few minutes and smoke a cigarette or a joint or whatever when the train was stopped at the next station waiting for everyone to board and stuff. the surfliner stops are pretty quick though, so if you want to get fucked up on the train, buy a beer or two from the snack car or bring some edibles.

i'd ride to san diego.its a good trip and not too hard.i suggest starting in long beach tho.blue linedown then pch the whole way.[for the most part]
i did it in 61/2 hrs.definately want to take the train back.costal head winds are murder.

So Mark & I are planning to ride down on Friday. This is about 50% confirmed. It might just be meh because Mark has a large camera that is so large and gi-normous that it has its own dark room in the lens and cost like 8 million rupee/2 small Thai children. Anyone down to ride to SD on Friday?
This will take place early as all heck too. I know the route like the back of my third hand and I'm slow.

If anybody is looking for hotel rooms for this weekend, you can stay a the hotel the bike show is being held at for a discounted rate. You just have to mention the bike show when you make your reservations.

Nawww rolling down to SD on Saturday is not the way to go. The SD ride is Saturday.
If we get 5 or more people that want to roll from LB to SD, then I would be down for that, and roll Friday. If there's 4 or less, I would be down for rolling from Oceanside, and roll Friday or Saturday.
First option for me would be to roll from LB down there Friday.

Riding down there on Saturday would be sewedsideal. So it's early Friday morning. The 2nd option is to train it to Oceanside, and then ride. what other option is there? (in regards to riding there)

All right. options:
-Train all the way. Leave: Sat ~5 p.m.
-Train halfway, either LA -> Oceanside or Oceanside -> LA Leave: Sat ~12 p.m.
-Ride all the way. Leave: Fri. ~10 a.m.
I vote for the last option.

I am going to ride my bike to SD. I want to leave early FRIDAY... April 3rd! I think this will work... as long as I can get out of work and as long as I can secure a place to crash Fri. So Sunday there will be no Pancake Breakfast at Katie Kelly's Learned she will not be in town for this event. She will be in Palm Springs getting drunk with her girlfriend. So you can all give her shit....
We will have the pancake bfast at a local bar that is willing to have us. It's close to the train station. The only thing it is 21+........ We will have dj's playing also.
