Coaster Brake Challenge 12  Thread started by rev106 at 05.27.14 - 9:19 am  CBC 12 will be upon us soon, I don't have everyone's contact info so if you could, please spread it around.
If you need a loaner let me know and I can build one for you otherwise I'll have three generic loaners at the first meet.
I'm looking for courses now, so the first one is still not up there yet, check back soon to see as I'm trying
to get at least two new courses for this one to keep it fresh.

 I have completed course selection/scouting for this run and built a fine fleet of loaners that have nicer parts than my own personal bike. Please let me know if you want to try, and I will reserve a loaner for you.

Loop style course mostly non-technical stuff with a few down-up sections that will be hike-a-bike for most. Narrow single track though out thus the name of the course, with limited passing areas so some traffic jams may occur. Poison oak on some parts, I will have stuff for riders to clean up afterwards, the trick is to stay on the trail and not run into it. 10 laps, each lap is about 1.5 miles. We'll be in a neighborhood so we will have to keep the pre ride chatter down to a minimum. Carpooling is recommended I will have space for bikes/riders in my van.

Single track and double track. A couple hard climbs. Several technical sections and a very technical descent. The biggest challenge will be not getting lost. There will be directions and course marking to help you get back. About 14 miles total.

A venerable CBC staple, ups, downs, all around, a little bit of everything. About 11-12 miles Fast people can finish it in under an hour. Bonus +1 point activity after everyone is back, food and drinks and a raffle after that. See you then!!!
