This is be 5th Annual!
I am down to advise on any issue, and I will of course help out in some way. but I would LOVE it if other Ridazz took this over to see what new may beocome of it.
I have $50 left over from last year that we can use as seed money :)
I want to step up and make this happen with everyone. Last year was a lot of fun. It was beautiful to see people come out and ride in the rain to contribute to the woman's shelter.
that was last year.
so far in 4 years we have had 4 different charities
2006 LACPS
2007 LAFD spark of Love
2008 Alliance for Children's Rights
2009 and East L.A. Women's Center
OK for about a year I have been having serious Nerd Fantasies about doing a Google Wave project.
Google Wave came out last year right in the middle of the toy ride planning, I thought it would be the perfect tool, but it was too late in the process to start using it.
Anybody interested in trying this out?
Think "facebook designed for productivity"
Or perhaps a more highly interactive & integrated google groups
Its just a suggestion...
I have plenty of invites in case this is something we decide to do.
Now if only i could remember my login credentials.
Oh, and I'd like to see about maybe helping out with the recycling portion of this event. The moneys earned can go into a fund for the following year's toy drive.

Exactly, Danny. However I think it is going to be hard to book a "venue". The first place at the top of my list is the future funderland- hopefully they'd be up for it.
Patrick, googlewave sounds practical and efficient I say we go for it.

FYI Google Wave is dead. But the servers will be up till the end of the year.
On August 4, 2010, Google announced the suspension of standalone Wave development and the intent of maintaining the web site at least for the remainder of the year.

Yeah, I hope so too. Although, the rain did give me some hopeful perspective. Seeing so many ridazz come out- in the rain- to DONATE nonetheless, was amazing. This is the piece of the community that has my heart.
what's up with 1000 bikes?
maybe they want to do a tee shirt fund raiser at the after party.
They can print tees (with ACTR & 1000 bikes designs) for donations.

Please sign up for a job on the google group. There are many jobs untaken on the "BRAINSTORMING" thread. Thanks!
- We should get a collabo google map going with the start points and routes.
This will make it easier for ppl to plug in rondezvous points and organize midway start points.
- Also, anybody wanna get crackin on the poster?
I have fonts & graphics that can be used. I can do it, but it would be nice to have a new designer with a fresh approach.
- We got ridazz in South Bay & Sout Central ? Letzz expand our reach.
Last year we had 10 start points it would be dope if we could add more for 2010!
Yo, im on the google groups....all city toy ride. I really want to get involved, but i dont understand how shit works on the google site......fuck.......HELP!!!
Is there a for sure time and place yet getting close to December would like to get flyer out to the valley bike shops..... Any starting point yet who be leading the rides and from where
This is a "graphics kit" for doing posters and flyers. (40mb)
This is basically a collection of the flyers & posters & graphics i did for ACTR over the last 2 years.
the flyers are in .ai & .pdf formats.
the graphics are .eps & .jpg
There are layouts for 1/4 sheet hand bills & 11x17 posters.
All in B&W for cheap printing (i prefer Office Depot)
The fonts are not included they can be downloaded from

there is a facebook invite
feel free to join, especially if you want admin status
(all ride leaders / party planners / refreshment providers should have admin status so they can update invite directly)

if you join the face book invite,
please refrain from blasting it to yoru list for about a week so we can fine tune the invite with the best possible informations

There are only 3 local ride listings linked so far (Hollywood/ SGV/ Westside)
If you are helping to plan a local ride please make a ride listing here -------------------->
so we can link them all. If you don't know all the info post the ride info TBA so we can link the confirmed rides, and get leaders for the unconfirmed rides.
hi barleye :) yes darlin, i am in pasadena now. doesn't feel like LA at all. feels like i live in LA's little cousin.
this will be my first ride since back, and first group ride in almost a year! quite exciting. i assume it will be easy for my currently lazy biker self :P
Anyone know how long the all city toy ride itself is? -Antranik
depends which city your riding from... -SnapperS
I mean, is the toy drive stationary or is it an actual ride and if it is how long is it? Any idea where it ends up? (i'm trying to do multiple things and plan it out, hehe)

After we converge we will ride at least 5 - 7 miles as a group our stop.
We'll collect all of the toys at an undisclosed location "near dtla"
We try to keep it on the DL so people don't skip the "toy ride" and "toy drive" straight to the party.
The party is always fun times.
Bring a little cash if you want some hot food.
AWESOME TIME. We did it again. I loved not having a spot and doing it gorilla style as Ridazz always do. Great ride, great cheer, great park. The Bicycle Gods smiled down on us tonight.
Loved seeing everybody. Felt like I was going home to see the family for the holidays.
The new generation really takes "getting down and having good time" to a new level. Cheers to you, you all rule. Sorry I had to get out early!
Glad we helped a organization that I feel I actually like. It looks like they do good work and fill a need for a forgotten segment of our society.
That was seriously the most love filled party rockin' non stoppin' damned bestest All City Toy Ride of my life!!!
I chose the Passage of a few people through a brief moment in time ride from the observatory and THAT was one amazing route! Tunnels, dirt trails, travel town, running into the 818 ride, riding on the 134 freeway, graffiti bridge, seeing more groups, Elysian park, spitting out the bottom of the hill only to run into a another group of Ridazz joining the mass twisting and turning through the streets, agent orange (the butterfly), PARTY at Hollenbeck Park loving hugs from everyone, the best present ever (thankyou CoeCoe!), naked people, 4loko, that 40 minute cuycuy loop (or whatever it called?!) two separate dance parties, Johnnyboys sound bike, Dj Alaska, more hugs, hustling back, veggie burger and a chocolate shake at fat burger then pass out at home. Epic.
What a great night. From the Griffith Observatory to Travel Toe to Olvera Street to Hollenbeck Park, the attitude was all positive. We all had more FUN than nearly everyone else in LA.
My favorite moment was turning to et and saying "I can't believe we've been dancing to el sondito for 20 minutes," with et responding: "John, its been almost an hour!"
Thanks to all who put in the hard work to pull off this amazing night.
Thanks Chynna for organizing this! Also thanks to Spenser for pulling the sub trailer and giving the gift of BASS! It was great to ride & party with you all, truly great!! :) I got the cooooolest secret santa gift ever: Jon De Carlo gave me a circuit bent toy drum machine, it's truly fucking insane. Thanks to Tarsis too!
Love seeing and hearing responses about the sound setup, that's what makes tugging 100+lbs of gear from mar vista to hollenbeck & back soooo worth it. That and I just like to see people take their clothes off... usually ;)
So check it out...while last night is still in your short term memory bank...mark your calendars the 2nd Friday in January and let's all bring back the glory days of m.r. 2nd Friday rides of 2005-2009...2010 had low turn outs and lots of old Schiller's stopped coming out..enough of that ranting....I had a blast...I love riding bikes with u guys..
Thanks! I used a GoPro Hero960 cam mounted to my bars. It shot a frame every 2 seconds and I compiled all the images into the Quicktime movie playing at 15 frames per second.
AWWWWWSOME ride and after-party! It was so great to see so many missed familiar faces! BIG HUGS, and Thank you to Chynna and ALL who made this a special time.
EPIC!!!! My phone get ripped off (Turn it on and I will catch you) was upsetting and running my thumb thru my roommates chainring was and still is painful. I still had a blast ... thank you Chynna.
Chynna did it! Thanks to all those other volunteers in the background too. I can't remember a better ACTR evah. The ride through DTLA with all the rides was epic.
