Its a street party that uses bikes to change venues.
I think about a year ago this would have annoyed me.
But now I know what I am getting into. I just make sure I get plenty of riding in before an after C.M.
We showed up Waaaay late last night and found the group at venice. I'm not sure how long they were there b4 us but the mob was chillin' for about 45 mins b4 we left. We rode all of 2 or 3 miles before the next stop. All in all we hung out about 2 hours and rode maybe 3 or 4 miles including satellite excursions to get food and drink.
Anyway mega-props to CM for another epic night.

best C.R.A.N.K. MOB in a long while :) the first part of the route we did a shit load of riding and it was sweet and nice and HUGE!!!!

Most amazing part of the night - at Venice Skate Park - had been there for at least fifteen minutes and ridazz were still riding in off the boardwalk - like a train of lights.
That was a great crank mob, the first leg kicked ass! the front of the ride was pushing 18mph with no problems, LAPD was being beyond respectful, I heard them on the speaker several times asking us to move over so they can cork intersections as they passed us by, Good times.
Rad! I'm only 1/2 kidding about the "not a bike ride thingK. Though. I deff missed the main riding portion, which is fine by me cause I got in 30 miles just going 2 and from home. But hijinx like the live band and hot dawg vendor prove that CM has evolved into some other shit. It really nice, cause there is a natural tendancy for a lot of large rides to copy the critical mass or m.r. model crank mob is off on their own chit. Fuck the haterz mega props to cm for keepin' it oh-riginal!
That long straight stretch of san vicente was pretty awesome too.... all I could see was a swarm of flashing red lights going up the hills and we were up in the front.

I heard last night's CM was the best! THANKS RICHIE!!!! handling cops while riding an illegal (and amazing) 4x tall bike! You are the Kabuki Sky of Life!
I hear thats why the cop were in copters, so they could talk directly to richie, face to face.
By the way. My sincere apologies to the guy who crashed alone into the center island on venice. It seemed like a drunk move, the way I saw it. But regardless, it was a total dick move of me to say "time to walk" and you were in your rights to call me out as an asshole. The crash looked very minor which is the only I made comment. But still, I have people act dickish after a crash and it really sucks, so yeah, point taken, next time I'll STFU. Here is hoping you + bike are OK.
