Should be epic tonight no? Last months peoples ride was amazing... the cops were helpless with the halloween traffic during the circle of death on Peoples Ride.
Will it be so easy tonight....? Will there be music? Will there be drama?
so we ride out at 730 and im sure everybody is gonna go straight to peoples ride right after at 930. which only gives LACM 2 hours of a ride. whats up with that?
There's no reason for LACM to be constrained by the People's Ride schedule and starting location. People have other People's cell phone numbers, yes? Let's have LACM roll to new and interesting places and just meet up with the People's Ride after they've started rolling. That's how I remember it working when the Hollywood Ridazz rolled from the Rite Aid at the same time.
I have nothing against LACM transitioning into the People's Ride (in fact, I think that's great), but LACM is most beautiful when it's on its own schedule, doing its own thing.
does LACM have to go to the start of the peoples ride? i mean come on only 2 hour ride? Let LACM ride longer. Lets take LACM to different places tonight. More riding and less drinking/smoking and standing around. And if people wanna break off to go to the peoples ride than let them. Why does LACM have to go straight to the peoples ride?
Unfortunately two of our riders/friends were ticketed tonight for following the pack in an illegal U-Turn and one of our riders was arrested for exerting our rights as bicycle riders.
If we can all pitch in a donation to pay for the tickets it won't be a heavy burden for the individuals that were ticketed. And we will also enforce UNITY for our cause: bicycle riding.

Not to mention the set played by those rockers from Vancouver, BC, "Dichotomy" was a delightful way to send off the night.
Yeah, but all those U-Turns sort of wore down the patience of the cops and got all those people stopped.
