but yeah i saw the fire breathing lady at union station about a week or two back and today i saw a girl wearing what looked like cut up lingerie on head,(actually looked pretty cool) and a road bike with three million playing cards in the spokes and fuzzbeast's own CRANKMOB spokecard. NAME YOURSELF RIDA!
yeah anyways, call out your rida sightings. i see all you people on the street. and it is good.
I saw someone going up the elevator from the lower level of Vermont/ Sunset metro station. Had an Obama spokecard, Stuffed Animal, and a few others I couldn't see very well.
PC, i thought i saw you the other night (i have no idea where you live though) and i walked up to the guy to check it out but it wasn't you. the guy thought i was a weirdo.
I was sitting in a restaurant around 9.30 pm last night and saw about 30 to 40 riders come down Tujunga and turn right on Riverside Drive!! It must have been SpeedyBrian and Co.

-Fuzzbeast
-Kyber

-Keiron
-Brad (from BRW) + lady friend near The Counter
-We picked up Jennine during Friends of the Friendless
its nice when other bikers wave at you or say hello
specially when shes a cute girl like the one that said hello to me at hollywood/vine metro station today :)
On LACM last month I almost bumped into this guy while riding, and then we ran into each other (not literally) on the train, it was pretty cool. He described running into other ridazz as a "Fight Club feeling". So true. Project Mayhem.

So, why is it that whenever I go someplace in the rig, I see tons of people riding their bikes everywhere.
But, when I'm riding my bike up in town, or riding from the Montebello yard to a ride, I see squat???
I mean, the last, two fixed-gear sighting I had up here in the desert were from the rig.
I tried a few times to ride and track these guys down up here, but no dice!!!

Then as I'm getting off the Blue Line in LB, who's on the Blue Line going the other way, but Brian from Eat!Sleep?Bikes! the movie fame. It was great seeing everyone unexpectedly. =)
I saw you, Asher, riding down Sunset then turning on to Sanborn. I was so busy trying to figure out if it was really you that I biked right past Intelligentsia and had to turn back.
Then the line was really long and so I just went home, sad and uncaffeinated.
Sexy, Bigsexxy , Johnny Pacific and X-tian saw Mr. Rlrz and Mook riding on Sunset east of Lucille this afternoon. I called them out. Rlrz waved and Mooked smiled. They didn't even know who called them out.
Damn, so that was you! Couldn't tell who it was from across the street and I thought to myself, "I hope they post to the I SAW YOU! thread, so I can figure out who it was".
We were on our way back from the DC40. Mighta turned around and stopped if I'd known. Maybe next time yell, "rollerz, stop!"?
I saw jonnyboy, eddieboy, and gaby in the Gateroom as I prepared to lead them through the gate onto a recently discovered planet within the gate-network.
Then I woke up and realized that SG Atlantis was on and it was being put into my head while I slept.
yesterday I saw this cutie girl who used to go on C.R.A.N.K. MOB and she had gold sequin shoes, but now she doesn't go on C.R.A.N.K. MOB for some lame reason that I blocked out. She was buying a tube and she had paperclips sticking thru her ear left earlobe. Goodnight MR!
:P
I didn't "holla" because I was in a car in traffic like a lame-o and of course I just saw you pass, stop at the light where we were stopped, and then when it changed you went along on your speedy way.
I was waiting to order outside Pink's and I was all "Whooop, Graham! GRAHAM!" You looked over to see who was shouting your name, and it was a thousand percent clear you had no idea who the fuck I was.
I SAW ALEX TALLCANS IN GRIFFITH PARK NOT TOO LONG AGO
This is the second Alex- spotting I've had. Both times on my way home from Burbank. I get all giddy when it happens. "IT'S ALEX."
Very old I saw yous:
B-rad riding south on Roberston then slowing to a stop cause the light was changing. Then again on Venice Blvd he was pulling over to the side of the road better than cars do it for a siren firetruck.
Asher riding down Santa Monica Blvd. while riding in the car with Nikki.
Honako on Pearl riding west while I was on campus.
Roadblock in the middle of the intersection of Hollywood and Vine making a left on to Hollywood.
Andrew in downtown on Broadway looking for Max Drive in.
Dylan on Venice Blvd. jumping off of his bike then holding it upright to hit the cross walk button.
Nikki and Ijunes riding on Motor near LAB on their way to the formal ride.
Andrea wearing watermelon helmet in a dress riding bike near Madison campus, I shouted but she didn't hear me.
I'm at home with a sprained ankle bored as hell. Wish I was riding and seeing everyone of you.
HAHA damn everyone is spying on me! I shoulda checked this thread sooner, but yeah I roll NH-Burbank-Griffith a few days a week and back, how come I don't see you Chynna?
A bunch of us saw MikeyWally ride by as we were finishing up dinner at Il Capriccio on Hollywood at Hillhurst. I yelled out, "Mikey!" He turned and looked but then rode off.
2:30 am Sunday morning.
a beautiful elderly asian woman smiled at me from a bench ouside Union Station. We nodded hello and it made me smile and broke my heart at the same time. I wanted to take her home, but knew I couldn't.

Last night on my way home, I saw EN and his girlfriend. He called out RIDER! I only replied with a weak HEY! and kept riding.
This morning on my ride into work, I saw the riders from Vlad's Last Stand. They called out my name, I waved back but kept riding as I was late for work.
The first two days of commuting along Pico from my new place and I'm already running into ridazz. I guess they all hang out on Pico on the westside.
I saw Jared, AKA the King, aka jchungerford flying down vermont yesterday, I was trackstanding at santa monica, I yelled he didnt hear me due to riding with headphones.
I saw what I think was the BARCHOPZ ride turning left from sunset onto vine (I think) last night as I was leaving Amoeba w/ my friend who I met up with in Long Beach. It was funny cuz you could hear the bells ringing, whistles blowing, and people yelling and she's going "what IS that??!!" and I said "it sounds like a ride!!!" and sure enough...
YOU: Marino, bikeless, crossing Pacific Avenue at Sixth in San Pedro.
ME: Bikeless, on the 445 bus leaving San Pedro.

ME: Bikeless, walking down street toward Sunset.
YOU: markedge and el Rich, bikeless, at the big Day of the Dead thing at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
ME: Bikeless, walking w/uncle, aunt, cousin and sister.
Were there any ridazz at that halloween house party by Sunset and Alvarado on Friday? Unless there were a few peeps riding with a bike messenger bag posing as bike messengers, I'd kinda sworn there were a few there.
I couldn't tell who or who is but if you did see a friar with a necklace full of nerds candy, that'll be me
I saw Adam and Jessica (aka MIMS - from Austin) at the HOLLYWOOD Farmer's market this morning. i run into so many ridazz there every sunday it's no joke. it's a happenin' place sunday mornings. hope to see more of you there. come by the stand at the end of ivar and sunset. we sell PESTO sauces. they are mmmm mmmm good and we have non-dairy and vegan pesto sauces. one is even pine nut free for those allergic to nuts.
Tonight i saw pb734, paul bringetto, riding east on broadway as i was heading west around 5 or 6. Actually i see you all the time around santa monica. i once shouted "get some gears" at you while in a car.
Hey Eric! It was a big "I SAW YOU" day. Frozen Fingerss and I saw Tren Way representing at the Festival of Lights, and TallCans in the Valley, along with Junu and Krista.

Monday night, around 8:50pm, I saw Skidmarcus (or someone wearing his helmet) pass by as I was Waiting for my torta at Cactus Taqueria #2 on Beverly. Go Skidmarcus!
Luis & Sean (RoyalAcademy) At Union Station. It was cool b/c we all came from different directions and went 3 different ways. Oh, and because these guys are cool and it made me smile to see them both. Like this ---> : D

last night thirsty thursdays went to the smokehouse, and we ran into andrew, gabby, luis, and lance. then ten minutes later, alan, robert, and leslie roll in from the artwalk.
Well I dont know any one yet but today I was coming back from DTLA *in the rain* and I think at main & 9 saw a guy carrying a rim to that bike shop on 8th & main where I had just bought my new pedals :)
last nite i saw:
#1 annie babysitting this dog crazy kid
#2 michelle [v-spangle]stoped at 2nd. & main st.
#3 nicole at kinkos doing spoke cards
#4 RBI and the thirsty thursday possie at the smokehouse
i love seeing riders around town.makes LA seem alot smaller than it really is.
I just saw Robert Stanfield on the San Gabriel bike path with his dog, Spot, in Los Alamitos.
All the gates were locked due to the rain, but the hard core are out there regardless.
Ah-ha! So that was la duderina who I just saw at Mariposa and Wilshire! On the mountain bike, turning north, right? The funny thing is, I thought that might be you, even though I don't think we've ever met. So, um, hello, retroactively.
What Ijunes is trying to say is that this thread is for if you run into your friends from riding, not random bicycle rider sightings. But if we're gonna go on that note, I see "roadies" all the damn time.
how interesting would it be if i said "i saw my friend such and such" and you wouldnt know the person, i like to post people i dont know and maybe have the mystery rider some day find my post and say it was him/her. but thats just my opinion
then according to your logic, i should probably post on this at least 20 times a day because my commute is quite a bit far and i pass up a lot of riders.
"seeing some guy or girl doesnt matter if they're not a rider.
i passed 13 riders this morning, and didn't know any of them except the one that happened to not be on his bike.

I thought maybe he meant "seeing some guy or girl doesnt matter if they're not a rider" as in, there are ridazz, and then there are people with bikes. I make this distinction all the time.
I SAW YOU: Asian woman, I think Japanese, riding a red fixed gear bike with drops, roadie-style helmet (with the oval holes in it). Probably 25 years old or so? Hustling north on Centinela. I see you all the time outside my apartment! Hello, fellow lady ridaa!
I see people on bikes ALL THE TIME...some say whats up, some just stare... this thread feels like its starting to become a popularity contest... in that case
I saw Enci Box riding eastbound on Hollywood Blvd last night.
cereal fashionista, she was wearing sunglasses at night and heels on her bicycle. she even made a quick u-turn after hearing me call out her name.
Oh yeah, I saw ridazz in my sleep last night. We were exploring somewheres. Matt, Fuzzbeast, Drooby, Franz....we were on some sort of mission. And we were on foot. Weird.
I saw that one dude. That one dude who looks straight outta the 70s...think his name's Gavin. met him on the 6 pack ride a whiiiile back where we shared sour patch watermelons pretending we were on the tour de france. Saw him yesterday heading west on hollywood blvd. and I said hey, that's that one dude.
So, the first ride i ever went on, which was by accident on the way home from work, was the Dungeons and Dragons ride. I had my camera with me and the first photo I ever took of Midnight Ridazz was the bike painted like a Candy Cane when we were by the dumpsters...Then one day months ago, perhaps in November, I saw that same bike outside of Fedex Kinkos in Little Tokyo...Then months later, perhaps two weeks ago, I saw that same bike outside parked on 5th near Main st. Mind you I have never actually seen the bike in action until today! in which I saw a girl riding a Candy Cane bike down Spring...
Now, I am going to go out on a Maple tree's limb and assume that very person is "Candy Cane" right here in these forums and to extend that assumption past this Maple tree's limb I will say this person lives Downtown and lives not far from my very self.
I also saw Stilline at Maestro tuning his bike, but was too shy to say hello even though I went to his Birthday Ride! ha
i didnt go on the river path today, but i was riding around burbank for a few hours this afternoon running errands. my messenger bag was bursting at the seams with records.
I thought I saw RBI yesterday, driving a white toyota or something like that, but then realized it wasn't when I read that he got a new car. (Which wasn't the white toyota)
Don't really post here but last night while I was waiting for my friend at crank mob park at about 1 am, a rider riding a road bike with lots of spoke cards wearing that furry hat passes by and waives at me, I waived back! Once my friend arrived we were gona catch up to you cuz we think we recognize you from some rides but you totally disappeared.
oh haha that's cool. I'm Joseph/Joe, I think I recognize you from the robotz ride last week, I was wearing torn shorts, me and my friend were like the only ones wearing shorts that night lol. I'll say whats up if I run into you again!
i think liz and i saw eddieboy in glendale walking across san fernando about an hour ago. he had a blue tooth headset and a blue collared shirt, all dressed up for something. he was just walking across the street not paying attention and he was in my lane so i honked at him (i was driving) and he turned around and did the eddieboy laugh and i think i saw the eye.
i saw roadblock and candy cane as i exited the red line in noho tonight. i exited the train pretty quickly and caught candy cane's bike in my peripheral vision, so i turned around. as i turned roadblock saw me and we both said what's up. sorry i didn't come over to talk. i was in a mad rush home.
then i saw borfo upstairs in the street.
then i talked to another rider as we rode on vineland and chandler. sorry i didn't catch your name. i'm coldcut. nice to meet you.
i wish i didn't have to work tonight. i bet barchopz was cool.
I saw Michele Appel in the 994 Magazine listed under LA street style. Picture was taken on Traction can't remember the other street name but I saved the article for you Michele.
Tarsis and I saw Julia riding down Ventura yesterday- we were on our way to the Red Line. I also saw Julia on Magnolia on my way to polo two Sundays ago.
i left the through the looking glass ride while it was still partying at the park. later that night i saw the ride go down wilshire while sitting on my friend's roof in korea town.
i'm not sure that counts. all though it kinda made me regret leaving early.
To the girl in the white with in the single speed in front of video west game room in glendale across from the americana, we were going to offer to escort you to your destination as a group but you took off to quickly.
by "we" i meant the group of dorky guys unlocking our bikes in front of the arcade, you walked by us and smiled a little bit and we couldn't understand why you'd do such a thing, and then we noticed you were unlocking your bike as well.
i saw roadblocks big cannondale locked up outside some store near sunset and parkman around 1:45.
then around 3:30 i saw chicken leather on the redline.
I saw someone on my way to the bike path near the NoHo redline station... but I'm blind and couldn't tell who it was. I asked you "where are you going?" and I think you said "home or something along those lines."
I saw someone I have never met before on the redline who had some old Midnight Ridazz cards in his spokes.
I also just saw Esther (I think?) on Glendale near Park.
When I was a senior in high school, I was heavily into ballet. Like, I was going to be a professional dancer. I had to take head shots for ballet auditions. This is one of them. Look at all that hair!
I thought I saw Undercover Bob with another cyclist at 5:20 yesterday afternoon, they were getting ready to turn left (south) onto Sepulveda, just south of Olympic. I was going north, in a car :(
Is anyone here the owner of a silver and maroon Nishiki fixie convert that was parked at the kaplan college building on Laurel in NoHo? I work in that building and have seen your bike there a couple times.
Chynna
I was probably riding home from work… did you yell out my name? I thought I heard something but when I slowed down and looked around I just saw some doods I didn’t recognize so I kept going. I tend to ignore things I hear on the road unless I think I hear my name… then I want to go on adventures!
Ah well next time
I saw the kid that ate shit on his bmx on the mom rider aniversary ride last night at my bar. He was drunk as shit, complaining about his ribs hurting and going on about how much spokes cost... Still wanna race you chealsea :)
I saw Robert Stanfield today at Juliana's Tortillria in Hawaiian Gardens.
I saw his sweet bike leaning aginst the window where he was eating on the other side.
I real quick grabbed his bike and started to run.
Ha ha! Robert was up out of his seat and out the door in a blur.
In hindsight, this was a sick stunt to pull on my friend and I regret doing it.
Sorry, Robert.
Riding northeast on North Broadway, past downtown, right before the bridge across the LA "River." I was riding southwest. I called out "RUSSELL!" but I don't think you heard me.
Riding northeast on North Broadway, past downtown, right before the bridge across the LA "River." I was riding southwest. I called out "RUSSELL!" but I don't think you heard me.
I did hear something, but I (seriously) thought to myself "eh, if that was someone I know it'll be on the I SAW YOU thread tomorrow." And I was right!
DJ Chicken Leather twice on tv. Good day LA is covering bike to work week events... and there he was, no mistaking Paul thats fo' sho'. 2 days in a row.
I saw Chicken Leather at the Hollywood Sunday Farmers Market.
I actually stopped and talked to him too.
For you vegans, vegetarians, or just health conscience ridazz, this is the place to go every Sunday. A plethora of organic vegetables and fruits. Make a ride out of it.
Bicykillers saw 4 ridazz about to get on the beach path in Santa Monica/Venice as we rolled north along it. I shouted out for you guys to come join us, I thought I recognized ya'll, but I was going too fast to get a good look.
i saw these two chick riderss passing by mcdonalds in
vermont and something by orange 20 yelled ridazz but they
didnt turn =[ (i usually see them at LACM but dont say hi)
Hey madmike... yeah man.... It was cool to see you guys just come out of nowhere. Pleasure talking to you for the short trip and was cool to ride with you guys for a bit... I wanted to keep going straight but had frozen cheesecake in my bag. See you on the rides..
I *think* I SAW YOU, monovsstereo, whom I just figured out is @negativedrew AKA Radar, riding past my apartment building, like, three days ago. If it wasn't you, it was someone with a similarly-colored frame.
Why are you out riding bikes, Radar? Isn't your head busted?? How are you?
Also, I've now spotted Pinky TWICE on the 761- yesterday around 6:30 as the bus turned from Ventura onto Van Nuys, and two Fridays ago as the bus went down Sepulveda by the Getty.
Dude, you know I'm just talking shit. I catch the bus to school every now and again, and that's only 7 mi away.
Do you lock your bike to the rack? Sleep is not such a good idea otherwise.

buses, meh. I used to ride 'cross town from bev hills to dtla but now i'd rather just ride it most times, though in the morning i'm usually too tired so if i stay in dtla i'll take the bus to work, but it's kinda nervewracking watching my bike at every stop.
On Pasadena Avenue at Avenue 20 (I think), heading towards downtown from Glassell Park.
I heard a Katie! KATIE! I looked and saw a dude in a purple shirt, black shorts, black clipless sheos, and a black helmet. I was turning when I heard it, so I couldn't easily see who it was, but I did shout out WHOOOOOP as I rounded the corner.
i saw to riddazz riding in Santa Monica riding up 6th and Arizona... one girl one guy and the guy had a cart attached to his bike with a big ass dog in the back! it was awesome! the dog started barking at a car and it was funny.
Yay! Did you call out? I wish I'd heard you. I was training for work on San Fernando. We used to go to Happy Hour right near the Glendale/Rowena split.
I work in the twin towers on douheny and wilshire about a block away from your house. I always take a stroll around the nieghborhood on my breaks. Helps me break the office fever for a few minutes.

I need to go on some rides or some such. I haven't seen y'all in months. Been waiting for the new whip to be up & running. Soon, my pets ... soon. (Stripping the paint now. Is a long, tortuous process.)

Did he stop at a stop light, lean in close, and say "They'll never believe you"?
Tortuga_Veloce, Intelligentsia has a coffee from Honduras called "La Tortuga." Because Honduras, as a coffee-producing country, was slow in coming. I couldn't figure out why I kept wanting to call it "La Tortuga Veloce." The funny thing is, I'm not sure you and I have ever met. Ahh, the Internet.

we have met: im iain. and i'm glad to know that you made it home all right that night i dropped you at the intersection of venice and bundy that night after the bikerowave. i was waiting for you across the street for some time because i didnt see you turn.
When I got caught at the light, I made a quick right, thinking I'd make a U-turn at the next intersection and catch up. But I forgot about the damned median strip. Lasts for blocks. By the time I made my way back, you were gone. Boff. Nice riding with you, though!

Ran into some bum 'trying" to steal a headlight from a road bike in DTLA on 6.17.09 late night...
Caught him real sneaky/lurking like and said, "YO WTF!"
The drunk bum got up like lightspeed, ran unexpectedly and ended up tripping and falling headfirst into a parked Land Rover at the end of the same block. The dude straight passed out.
Dude I saw you by victory blvd. You had a rad bicycle and also had a messenger bag. I had a blue sweater this was around 10am. It's good seeing single speeders.ride on!
Saw RBI on the Universal City train platform yesterday. I was on the train heading to North Hollywood station. It was weird seeing him without his bike!
BoogalooSHRIMP, Friday early evening, on Abbot Kinney! I called out "FLUNKY," seriously spooking the people walking in front of me (they came in for coffee later ... ), but you didn't hear. You were biking & talking with a lady-friend.
I was headed west on Oxnard just before kester when I saw two kids on ss bikes go past me. as I signaled to merge I also saw a moto-cop xoom past me to catch up to them. I do t know what caught his attention. they weren't doing anything illegal. unless ridi g 2 wide in a lane is illegal. I would do the same if I was riding with someone on that section of oxnard.
the cop caught up with them and signaled them to pull over. immediately one of them began to zig zag as if to loose him in a wide open street. he chased him across kester and into on coming traffic, on to the sidewalk and finaly came to an end when the cop was able to cut him off. I swung around the block to get a better wiew cus it looked like someone familiar. no one I knew, but I managed to snap this pic. what ever he may have done on the road is definitely not going to be worth the resisting arrest wrap.
Seems like everyone from midnightridazz is attending vromans signings these days. I used to work there, and I live two blocks from there. should let me know anytime your going to a signing. it would be cool to do a mini ride to a cool event.

I thought about posting up, but every time I post up for something like this, no one goes. The last one was Stimulator coming into town. HOPIUM Confronting Facism in the Obama Era Only BBD and I were there from the bike community.

ok this was really creepy but for the first time in forever, on my entire way to work, i did not see one bicylist. i took cahuenga over to santa monica, to westwood.
I saw some cat in DTLA on Wednesday. I think it was Edward? Aqua Aerospoke in the front? I talked to him briefly about the scavenger hunt on the 30th. It would be tight if he were on here and saw this. Sorry i forgot your name if you are on here. haha
@chynna you must have seen me when I thought my helmet was stolen but it was actually just in Erin's trunk... I forgot, silly me, no one wants that helmet!! I wanna see people I know!!! I only see people I don't know and I say hi to them and they look at me like they think that's weird.
I just saw VCR going down Olympic. I haven't seen a ride from the driver's perspective yet and I have to say that is fucking wonderful to see a mass of white blickies coming down the other side of the street. Too bad I couldn't join them
I Saw 2 recognizable people on my way home from work today! 2 within 10 minutes.
Sighting #1. Larsen..cruising down PCH on his double decker, obviously hard to miss. It was at about PCH and Sunset, I was driving by (yes, i drive too, get over it) from work to home and I slowed next to you and was going to shout hi but you had your headphones on, so I didn't. Red ones i think. Ten minutes later..
Sighting #2. I'm rollin down Lincoln blvd, 3 or 4 cyclists are heading North, towards Santa Monica and I only catch a glimpse of the last bicyclist which was Eric Colton, riding looking ever so serious.
I saw Jon Clark at the NoHo station today; yesterday I spotted Roadblock at the NoHo station; last week I spotted Happyland 2x(!!) at the Holly/High station. I see RayReyRiy everywhere. Go back to school Roy.
I saw Boludo at Fuck yea fest, During the Lightning Bolt set...he was directly in front of Brian chippendale...Hes the one battleing the security guard (white shirt)..
*Heh*
Saw Juno last Friday evening! I was rolling west on Little SM Blvd, away from LACM ride and he was rolling east, to the ride. He screamed like a little girl when he saw me. It was funny. LOL
Yesterday I saw speedybrian2000 at the Universal City Station- he was getting off the train, I was staying on. We said hello, also sort of awkwardly. I don't think encounters at this station are meant to be.
I saw rayrayray at the NoHo station when I got off the same train! Awesome day for Rida sightings!
OH! And I think I might have seen Roadblock today. Don, were you crossing Cahuenga north of Fountain an hour or so ago? I realized it might be you when I was like.. hey! That person's really tall!
"OH! And I think I might have seen Roadblock today. Don, were you crossing Cahuenga north of Fountain an hour or so ago? I realized it might be you when I was like.. hey! That person's really tall!"
I saw alll-you-alls last night. And some of you were lounging in spiderwebs. But, of course, others of you weren't, 'cause that's how you roll - krazy bike folk that you are.

Black leather jacket ( i think black could be brown) hood up, White fixie, what seemed to be white machined rims, white bull horns that seemed to be chopped. Headin east up venice around 10:00 pm .
Saw Chynna and friends riding on 7th in Downtown on Sunday 3am ish. I couldn’t hear anything you guys yelled back and the only person I recognized was Chynna. If July was there…well then, HI JULY! I am not going to Portland anymore so see you at the slabs!
I saw a rider on Google Street View for the first time while working on the San Fernando Valley Bike Backbone Network. Dude is riding up Glenoaks alongside a Nissan 350Z, and there is a building in the background that reads "Pride".
I saw someone on a tallbike going south on Robertson/Cashio a few days ago. I didn't get a good look so I didn't recognize the bike or rider. Who was it?
just now, headed to WOLFPACK no doubt on Hollywood blvd.
I yelled out, you turned your head, but kind of looked around like you didn't know if someone was yelling at you or if some crazy was just yelling. (It was both)
headed west on Fountain at Wilton. told you to get some gears, but your hipster ass had headphones on. hahaha at least you put your foot down when you stopped at the red light.
Bentstrider, did you honk your air horn at me on Sunset Blvd. (cross street of, maybe, Maltman) at about 3 or 4 in the morning on the night of the Glow Ride? My riding companion said she thought it was you, but I wasn't looking.
i saw a ridaa on a bus in sylmar (224) near roxford and foothill. Tall blue roadbike or fixie cant recall. helmet on the handle bars. spoke cards in front and back. who be you?
i barspin into a no handed track stand then hold till the light changes...then barspin before i take off, wheelie across the intersection as im drinking a PBR. thats if i have to stop at a light. hahahaha
i was buying 2 dozen bagels for $6. i selected a slow-moving line, which was further delayed by an argument over the method of payment. i daydreamed about the effects of industrialization on human relationships. then i became involved in a lengthy and unwelcome conversation with the cashier when i insisted that i didn't need a bag, the topic of which is still unclear to me.
kathy and i waved at each other. there was no trackstanding involved.
It's a fair cop. The hipster part, anyway. I don't really get offended, though (I was into the whole "being offended" thing two years ago...you know, before all the mainstream douchebags ruined it).
Now, then...tell us again precisely what you've got against trackstanding?

Other than the fact that most people can't do it properly so they end up inching into the intersection where they could get ran over by a car, or they end up just riding in circles in the crosswalk, getting in the way of pedestrians, or they fall over, and meanwhile look like a jackass with their ass all stuck up in the air. Then they'll trackstand the whole time until 2 seconds the light turns green and then put their foot down, then wobble their way across the intersection. Other than that, I don't care if you want to look stupid.
I mean, have you ever seen someone put their foot down at a red light? You notice how much more pro it looks? I have, and I started putting my foot down.
The reality is, most people shouldn't be on bicycles in general. Like how most people shouldn't be driving cars, or having children. But what can you do. ;)
lol@trackstanding until the last second then wobbling past the intersection. hahaha. i love it. i track stand because i find it fun and not as boring as just waiting for the light.
i do agree. there are alotta retards who dont know how to ride a bike. just like driving a car. thats what public transportation is for.

on assignment, feeling parched in west hollywood, we stopped at The Mud Spot and who do I see behind the counted? A solid dude I haven't seen for a while.
Mr Walley!! Thanks for the superb apple, ginger, carrot juice. It was really good to see you.
I saw THEROYALACADEMY at La Cita last night. He was dancing up a storm right next to me and my girl. Tell John Vu the music was AWESOME!! Definitely going back for the next Hungry Beat.
Did I see MD2 traveling east on Santa Monica (nearing La Brea ??) around 6:30pm on Tuesday while I was heading west? It was someone that said hello to me but it was an excited hello like they knew me and he kiiinda looked like MD2 (helmet + glasses couldn't really tell).
I saw secretragingcow at the Tiki Ti on Saturday evening. He was 2 feet away from us and I thought about saying hello, but then thought ‘meh, I already saw him today’ and went back to drinking my black licorice gin drink.
I think we saw the Glendale ride on Sat (may 8, 2010) morning heading west on sunset going to the beach whilst we were heading east going to watts. Nice to see Midday ridazz out there.
I saw Matteen on his tall bike yesterday in Santa Monica. I was with company in a car, so I restrained myself from yelling at him from out of my window.
The other day I surpassed my record and saw around 5 or 6 people during my commute home:
Nathan Snider
Tomatoes aka Potatoes aka Maters
Some dude on a fixed Rivendell, I've met the guy before but his name escapes me
Two Mommy Ridaz's with the 'stolen freak bike'
Alfredo
Last weekend, while showing the parents around town, I saw the following "bike people"...
-jeffwr3 and friend heading south on Edgemont
-yo delicious heading south on Hoover
-Patricia M. in a booth at the Silver Lake street fair thing
-Eric Potter (oldskool!) chilling on Sunset above Glendale
all within about 90 minutes of eachother. I didn't see Graham, though. Hi, Graham!
i saw the girl that was just in the last "sexiest photo"... short blond hair..glasses..i was with my mommy ..she said the girl had an intelligent face..hah
You: A bunch of Ridazz whom I haven't seen in a while, at Mayor V's Bike Summit
Me: Trying to think what message I wanted to convey if/when my name was called to speak, and then having to run right afterward, and therefore not having time to say hi to anyone.
Saw a large group of very young 'fixie' or 'weekend warrior' riders going up griffith park blvd. in front of my house next to marshall high school. Who are they? tell them to go away. please?
I saw Paul on Reseda Blvd and said hi but I wasn't on a bike so I don't think he recognized me. I was like "hey Paul!" and he got this look of "wtf" on his face and said "hi" as he rode past.
I met Nick of Sixpack Mondays/Mom Ridaz on the subway this morning. I'm glad I didn't have my book with me otherwise I would probably have deep into reading and not had an opportunity to have a great conversation on the way to work.
I saw a grip of ridazz at Ciclavia. I know for sure I saw Mr. Alex Thompson on the bridge. Maybe you saw me... I was all roadie-status on my red Celo Europa with my polka-dot KOM jersey.
I saw someone from Trenway riding north on Sycamore and Willoughby. Couldn't see the face but saw the patch and a black bike with spoke cards. Morning!
I was heading north on Hillhurst around 11pm on Sunday to grab some dinner when i spotted user "meandmybluebike" heading the opposite direction in a beige coat and her new cute haircut!
.
Yeah! I am not sure about that place. I was looking forward to it because I can walk there from my place but until they extend their hours and I find a chill time to stroll in, I think I will be riding over to Tony’s

When filling up my gas tank at a station on Balboa and RInaldi , I see this smaller car with a bike rack with a road bike and sometimes a tall bike going north on Balboa between 4am and 5am. becoming a regular occurrence.

Some Cyclones(?) heading south on Glendale Blvd last night. A few of you said hi, I was walking the same direction but didn’t have on my glasses. Sorry didn’t recognize you. Hope you were able to get a drink at Mohawk Bend, I heard the wait for a table is 2 hours.
Somebody who looked an awful lot like Big Bike Dan, riding a bike that looked a lot like a Big Bike Dan bike, closing a gate near Long Beach Boulevard and Esther St. around 6:10 tonight.
Nathan Snider riding westbound on Sunset past the Echo, just before 9:00 tonight.
Nathan Snider riding eastbound on Sunset past the Echo, just after 9:00 tonight.
Saw a crazy fucker going uphill on the Topanga hairpins (southbound before top o' topanga) on a unicycle at around 7:45am on Saturday. Was that one of you unicycle guys? Laughed out loud when I saw it. Fantastic hustle BTW!
i think i saw the alter ego ride stopped on pico in front of the shit hole formerly known as the scorpion bar. someone yelled "hey...i know you!", i waved, then everyone else joined in.
shortly after i saw some dumbass, presumably trying to catch up with the ride, run a red light at pico and crenshaw without looking. 3 different cars jammed on their brakes and came within inches of hitting him while me and a random ped stared in disbelief. i hope it was worth it, tard.
I work in the same building as this guy!!! He locks up his unicycle next to my bike!! I've talked to him a few times..really cool guy...he is tall and lanky...but can just tear through any piece of land with that unicycle!! He also does off-road stuff...but mostly it's his commuter... :D I rode behind him yesterday as we both left for lunch...he is freaking crazy fast and agile!! =D
Trickmilla, on the 4 bus eastbound, about 9:53 PM Sunday night!
Well, it wasn't Trickmilla himself, it was his still photo montage of the bike riding experience in LA being shown on Transit TV. Nice to have something worth watching up there.
I was at City Council today making public comment about the LADOT designing speedways for cars and how that facilitates hit and runs on vulnerable road users.... As I was leaving the chamber, LaBonge flagged me down for a conversation.... he said he saw me riding dirty... filtering up to the front of the line at a light by swinging through the left hand turn lane, getting into the crosswalk and then setting up to be first at the light... I didnt run the light but it was a shifty move I s'pose........
Well, it is safer to be at the front, if you ask me. It allows you to get through the intersection and command your lane on the other side without having to deal with many cars.
Also, got up to get a glass of water some days ago and saw you on the chandler path.
yes that's what I told LaBonge that I go to the front particularly at a nutty intersection like Fletcher Glendale Riverside heading to the path because the lane is filled with rough spots and the cars are teeming to get on the freeway....

I always take that lane on Fletcher in both directions - way too dangerous otherwise. But I'll pull up and wait behind cars sometimes rather than cutting to the front.
The Passage saw Lars and Jen coming home the other night as we passed by their place. It only now dawned on me how appropriate that was. The route's theme was BOOMTOWN.
"PC" and I saw Dingo + 2 friends walking around in Echo Park. Dingo was caught off guard and asked what the hell we were doing there. It's ok Dingo, i wont hold it against you if you were returning from standing in the long line at Mohawk Bend. ok that's a lie - yes i will.
PS-it was good to see you without your knee brace.

I must give a huge-time air hug to Mikey Wally and Rick Johnson for being @ the Triangle Park across the street from the 99cents store in Silverlake a few nights ago when I was headed over to Amy Darling's house to kick it with Lena. I was QUICKLY QUICKLY trying to stop in the 99cents store to buy some rope for hanging a tarp aiding in rain support and the manager said that "I absolutely (could not) bring my bike inside the store" and then I said "but i have no lock" -to which she said she did not care, -to which I said "this is my baby carriage, you gonna tell me i cannot bring in my baby carriage"? We went back and forth about this for a few minutes UNTIL... Mikey Wally swoops in and saves the day!!!! he grabbed the bike and held it for me across the street :D Thank you again Mikey!!!
I was just at that spot with mike barely in the door talking to my buddy Josh about grabbing some YOLOween supplies... plump white woman right? my bike wasnt even in the way... so rude.
I understand you needed the provisions that .99999999 =$1.00 store provides, but why would you want to shop at the place after they created you so badly.

Yeah, I always do that boggle-the-head thing like in the cartoons when I read these stories that are all, "blah blah they were mean to me and my bike yadda yadda so then I proceeded to give them money and..."
TWBG was on a NO FUNZIE ride and saw Roadblock. Sadly RB had to go drown his sorrows in pizza as our ride was going to remain funzie free.
Nice crossing that bullshit 50ft on Riverside/Fig with you, RB
I saw a mommy ridaz patch on santa monica and veteran a while ago. The mommy was heading east and he kinda looked like louisiana but im not sure if it was him.
I sawwww some MR rida in PDX on the broadway bridge today round 5:20PM wearing a jean vest with large MR back patch. You had a shaved head..and I was just walking. I hadn't seen many MR's here since moving so wanted to say HELLO. :)
saw 40 ridazz showing Bike Party in the Bay how it's done. Half the crowd wants to ban us, the other half wants me to start Midnight Bay Ridazz. good times.
I was the doofy girl wandering up on the Around the World ride who took a sudden left turn when we made eye contact. You and Mikey look a lot alike from the back.
Sorry we didn't hang around, but we had already stopped a bunch at that point (including just a little way down the hill in Kenneth Hahn by a waterfall thing). Had to keep moving!
i have also been seeing Louisiana on the gold line a couple times. Also spotted him late night at Taco Zone with Coe Coe B when Taco Zone had no cheeeeeese! Worst burrito ever!
Saw Rick Darge walking east of Franklin...I waved and creeped him out I think. Also saw Dee Dee K walking south on Hillhurst...I didn't wave just saw her.
