I've noticed that around 5:30 activity on this forum slows down. So this is a thread for you people that are still online after 5:30PM to posting, or whatever the hell you do.
---
Did anyone find the drama for today? I couldn't.
also, I've been yelled, "Get a job!", several times when I ride. It never made sense to me, especially because I kind of 'have' a job. In fact the assumption that I was jobless, because I ride a bike, offended me. Then I realize, a lot of you indeed are jobless. Awesome.
instead of yelling "get a job," today someone yelled "what is this? a fucking bike parade?" there were three cyclists total.
i'm going to start a new thread called the "Today Thread."
it will be dedicated to silly things that happened to you or
around you while riding your bide Today.
I am my boss, and I don't have to set my clocks forward. And if setting our clocks was of importance, we'd all set our clocks to 9:35, since we're all on Midnight Ridazz time anyway.
I stopped by a bakery yesterday morning that serves eggs and bacon and to my MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT the cook hadn't shown up yet. The owner offered me free coffee for an hour, but, damn, my heart would have exploded with all that caffeine so I bought a croissant, went back home and used the croissant to soak up some bacon grease I had stored under the sink.
I work till 7:30 every night... which is why I'm still here. Wait... so I guess in technical terms I DON'T work till 7:30... which is why I'm still here.
It's fairly easy for me to occupy this forum at all times.
As the gate keeper, I just got to watch out for people needing to get their cars/semi's/RV's/horse'n'buggies in.
As a truck-driver, I just got to make sure I'm on a straight line of freeway and make sure no traffic is in front of me.
Only time I'm really away from here is when I'm working out, riding with y'all, or fence-climbing my ass into an abandoned structure.
Along with that BSN I'm slowly working towards, perhaps I should add some web-management courses to it.
I mean, if I'm on here as mush as I am, I should also take on some of the burden that comes with running this e-circus.
Every triangle has three corners,
Every triangle has three sides,
No more, no less.
You don't have to guess.
When it's three you can see
It's a magic number.
I was entering my apartment today and one of the other residents walking in ahead of me held the door for me... as he did I grabbed the door and said thanks. but he insisted on holding the door since I had a bike on my shoulder saying "no problem man I know how much it sucks to have to ride a bike" LOL! to that I said "hell no riding a bike is the best thing that happened to me!!"
@reverend dak
Mainly roadblock getting mad at computer-tech, people bragging about the SD-thing, people not going to SD-thing contemplating how much trivial bullshit we'll post on the board this weekend, and the cow jumped over the moon.
All those sorts of things, in a collective nutshell.
It's 1:40am still working or still checking the MR forums not sure which.
Being your own boss sucks. You get to work around the clock. Unless you don't want to...
@marino
-I'm not the boss, but I don't have a stuporvisor keeping tabs on my ass either.
I better cherish these days while I make them last.
Because sooner or later, my ass will smarten up, get school done(after procrastination wears off), and I'll be working in some type of setting that will require my undivided attention
17:30 hrs, and I appear to be the only one at a jobsite right now.
It is unhealthfully, cold and rains off and on.
Luckily, it's my Friday, so I'm bemused.
I was thinking about the Austin Trip, and when. Is it as big a trip as the Portland Trip? Curious. Could it be the Annual "LONG TRIP"? We've already decided that the Salton Sea trip be an Annual Trip. That's awesome. Then there is Burning Man.
I'm sure someone is going to want to go to Vegas again.
San Diego is a No-brainer. We should visit whenever we can, and we should organize a big trip there every couple months.
No one has talked about San Francisco in a while. That's an EASY trip. I took the train back, it was 12 hours, but it was awesome. I'm proposing that we go every year for the Critical Mass Anniversary... I can't remember, but is it September? That trip was awesome.
Sorry I'm late. I was busy trying to follow the drama between Sexy and Borfo, and I got caught up in a little drama myself with User1. It's all good and healthy, yeah? I mean we can go throwin' blows, but we're a bit more mature than that. But then again, it sounded like Sexy was threatening to break fingers. Which segues to this, why is it almost always Sexy and User1 the ones getting caught up in the daily MR drama? Then you have Alex Thompson again, trying to harrass Tren Way or me. It's kind of old. I'll admit thought, it was ME who started it this time. I'll admit, I do a bit of trolling once in a while.
Who's doing the Poker Run? I think it's going to be awesome. I just have to figure out the logistics of getting there.
All I got to say is this. Even if you're trying to be helpful by pointing out what sounds realistic and whatnot. The point is that anytime you get negative about something, you end up killing it ultimately.
My vision of Ridazz going to Austin is shared by a good number on these threads. I want two weekends of partying and a week to roam.
Portland was quick and simple. It was very similar to San Diego but there was more work involved as to pulling together as a group.
Austin is going to be a challenge. I really hope we can do this together.
TOTALLY. People dont like the trains, I don't know why. I took the train BACK from SF on the SFCM 15th Anniversary weekend. I loved it. I bought a 6-pack, got drunk and talked to random folks.
I took a train to Denver once, it was a drunk fest the whole way out there... 18 hours.
I want to go to Austin, TX. I get what sexy was arguing, but I still disagree with him. I absolutely see what borfo is trying to do, and it WORKS, as he's proven for Portland & SD Trip. I'll chime in with details on the proper thread.
And as for me and the Ridazz Bus thread. I think i'm being positive and constructive. I want to see it happen. Period.
Oh, we had a positive thing today. We found out Markedge saved someone's life, and once again the City has shown us FAILURE in one of their most important duties, the safety of it's citizens. All of those Firemen & Cops need to get repremanded. SRSLY!!!
Although I don't remember ever meeting Markedge formally, I do know who he is. I'm glad that I do, so I can come up to him and shake his hand. He deserves a lot of recognition.
"We found out Markedge saved someone's life, and once again the City has shown us FAILURE in one of their most important duties, the safety of it's citizens."
Yeah, what he did was awesome and the city's failure is just inexcusable.
I'am 99.9% positive, that Markedge is the guy with the bad religion and black flag tattoos on his neck. He was with us in SD
sorry for the negativity. I was trying to be realistic, not a Nay-sayer. If you can all make a two week Austin trip posssible and a revamp bus as a ridazz bus, more power to ya. GO GO GO TEAM, FTW.
I'am trying to cut out the negativity, I didn't think with Joe it was nothing more then what we normally do, I was wrong. I think I did a good job at squashing PAM effort to get me and skano at each other throat., and let by gones, be by gones, with USER1. The dark alley things, was my way of telling PAM, to shut up, and stop trying to pit people against one another..
Nothing special happened at 5:30pm for me today.
Just put in a few, more applications to some trucking companies to get my wheels rolling again.
I'm just trying to see if I could get myself back into cross-country, paid roaming before the 1 year anniversary of my infamous, "roll'ddafuckover".
Hearing about Glo Rider's death really put a halt on any drama today. Good thing, i think. Glo Rider, formally tadpole rider, was a really cool guy...
So, it's dingo's birthday next week. We're thinking of doing a ride for him. Tren Way and Armadillos 42 will join forces again. It's been over a year since our last super-hero team-up.
----
I don't think i'm going to make any of this weekend's rides! crazy. But I'll be doing SOME riding. It's my mom's birthday on Saturday, so there's no Race, Pier Pressure or Crankmob for me. **sigh** Maybe I'll try to catch crankmob late...
Wow, I have never been here before. I love the decor of this thread, I admit, I feel right at home. Thanks for having me. Although admittedly I am not a fan of chartreuse, it really works in this thread, the anteroom of MR.
Bought this new Airsoft revolver at the paintball shop today.
Came with some 6mm paintballs, and shoots at 400 fps!!
Looks just like that revolver Indiana Jones usually packs.
Oh, hello again. Yes, my shoes are off. Slippers. Thanks.
Today I crammed 45 minutes of work into 8 hours. What's my secret? G-CHAT COMEDY.
My friend Dan and I performed a rousing offbeat, improvised 2-hour long G-Chat skit where Dan was held ransom by monkeys that had invaded his apartment and took control of his keyboard. He chatted to me as though he was the"leader" and was demanding "banana pudding. the one with the vanilla wafers." Oh, boy did I lol out loud!
After comparing Dan's physical proportions to those of a monkey, the skit halted when I informed the monkey leader that the pudding was en route, being delivered by Barak Obanana. I am still not sure if the monkey read that correctly, because he didn't "LOL". No matter.
So everyone is home now, so we can talk about everyone body else now.
So Fluffer didn't surprise anyone with his Yo Momma and I.Y.M. jokes. But he did surprise me with his passive defense of RattBones... I thought that guy bannished himself, but he's back. I wonder if he just lurks everyday, or if someone tipped him off. Don't worry. You aren't going to hear my take of this. Also I heard a new anagram/ottamatpeia from fluffer... F.M.N.D.A. haaha....
Other than that, I think the announcement from Tommy that SD will be visiting in FORCE in May. Awesome. We've got to offer them some floor space, and someone should host the ride the next day, or should we make the Spoke(n)Art ride the Saturday ride. That'd Would Be Great.
So, I started work at 4PM today, as usual.
As soon as I open the office-door to get some fresh air, I'm pelted by a sandstorm blowing off the Mojave Riverbed, 1/2 mile to the west of the office.
Woah, today was pretty boring. No drama?! How can that be...
Dingo's Birthday Ride was EPIC. Dingo was too fucked up to actually do the ride, it was THAT GOOD.
I'm really excited about the Poker Ride in/near Amboy, it'll be so rad...
And, so. Oh, that's all I have. I have a hockey game TONGIHT< at 10PM at Noho Park, just a parking-lot away from the Barchopz ride start. Swing by if you have a chance.
-When you live an area like mine and all nearby, explorable areas have been done to death, you'll learn to appreciate this.
Not to mention I've got 2 down, 6 more to go before I'm off for the night.
Not to mention the wind got ugly again and I huffed about, 8 pounds of sand while riding.
DAMN ME!! I always miss 5:30pm =( why!? i DO see 12:34 a lot though. I'm turning the stopped clock @ Ridge Way to 5:30. There it will stay, so I can post where whenever I damn well fell like it.
LOL. Oh my god. I don't think I've ever seen City Hobgoblin get angry! Borfo, Fluffer and Knittens could never make CH pause. But Turrican? Rarrrrr!!!! Fight Fight!!!
So today was pretty intense! Lots of serious business. I can't remember if I chimed in on any threads or not. I was going to step into the LA vs War thread and go OFF on User1, but he calmed down, and even sexy kept his cool. So that was cool.
There are a couple open threads, questions asked, with no answers. *shrug* I guess we'll have to wait until Monday.
Weekends are slow. Someone should start the weekend thread...
I don't know which rides I will make this weekend. We'll see. LACM at least. No chance for the Hollywood Ridazz. Hopefully the Blue Ballz Ride...
I've been too busy with internal (TWBG) affairs to pay attention to MR today. Sorry. But I do have my priorities. So I totally missed out on the Tranny Way ride. Maybe next time... I've been sick... so TWBG has a few really cool things coming. Oh yeah!
So, any drama today? I came straight to the 5:30 thread.
I played hooky to catch up on Ridge Way internal affairs and responded to a Tren Way email every 2 min. approx. Also had yummy PB cookie and iced coffee from Downbeat Cafe. I also listed a bunch of random ass crap on CL. Now, I'm about to go to O20 to get a new chain for Mel C give my old one to Ginger, The Spice Girl Bike . Then maybe Scoops and then CUBCAMP! =)
So. I'm going to post this else where, but I needed to catch the 5:30 thread as close to 5:30 as possible. So I'm wondering. All you programmers out there. What platform do you like programming for, right now? What API? If, I were to learn a new programming language, what should it be? What should my first program be? That I try and write? Make note that I haven't done any real programming (html, cut & pasting php, etc. isn't programming.) since I was in High-School. Which was... gulp... almost 20 years ago. I did a bit of work in BASIC, Dbase & Pascal, plus some scripting in DOS. I know nothing about C or assembly. So, yeah. There's my background.
----
DRAMA?! Way to much. But I'm not even going to bother with it. Instead, dudes! The R2RRRR Poker Run! Don't EVEN miss out.
The Days of Our Ridazz... that says it all. Drama today, I'd say, is highlighted by RBI hijacking the ROTW thread. But let's not dwell on that. LA Brakeless, near Culver City, apparently got some great cudos today - awesome. KNITTENZ got outed, but I'll let you find that on your own. That's about it. I hope I can ride tonight, I think i've regressed a bit with my sickness. F=ing sucks.
A couple of nights ago, I spent the entire night dreaming of riding bikes. And every now and then, I think "oh, I should ride my bike down to...oh, wait." My double vision isn't resolving as fast as I thought it would. It doesn't hurt as bad as I thought it would, though. How much fucking longer is this going to last?
I feel bad for not picking up my New Used Bicycle from Ridge Way yet. I know that thing is taking up space up there. To be honest, I guess I just don't feel the incentive. It's not like I can ride it.
How do people keep journals every day? This is boring.
Fuck you, asshole, you weren't supposed to agree with me. You were supposed to be all supportive, like "oh no, PC, that was fascinating, don't be so hard on yourself, thank you so much for sharing." Dick.
This morning I ran out of water on my way to work so I rode to the Super-Sea Supermarket or whatever it's called at Carson. I'm thinking "quick, easy, grab a new water bottle in less than two minutes, then off to work."
WRONG.
The lines were short at 830am but the cashiers took forever to scan food and on top of that they'd open up a new line only to be blocked and called "walang hiya ka" (i think it means you have no shame) by some lady with a kid and that cashier was taking her time. I know some taglog (not filippino) so I said "punyeta" (sp?) in front of the woman after waiting 10 minutes instead of the usual 2 and walked off to the red ribbon store for a bottle of water. i shoulda done that. after that i was 15 minutes late. luckily nobody noticed, but i hate getting late for slow service like this.
5 minutes later this lady I was arguing at that same store stuck her tounge out at me on the red light at carson and vermont. I laughed after she took off. She's a buttaface, but a laughable one.
ah. the morning commute on the bike today. The moral of this small tale is if you insult someone in their own language, you'll get some funny comebacks that seem lame but makes the ride enjoyable.
"Mayonaise" there some good lookin' girls in here.
Eddie GOpez
04.17.08 - 4:15 pm
I don't think that the word 'there' belongs in the above sentence.
Say the above sentence without the word 'there', but with a southern drawl and you'll see how mayonaise makes 'there' redundant.
KABC just did a story on Amboy, CA. They're suggesting that gasoline is going to save the town, I think the lodesertprotosites and the 2nd Annual R2RRRR Poker Ride is going to save the town! hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
I got new glasses and contacts today. Really cheap frames from Target, but they were good enough. The optometrist went to my high school, and the lady that was getting looked at before me was Mrs. Most, a P.E. Teacher from the same high school.
I'm going to try regular contacts in my right eye (not toric - for astigmatism) and see if they are 'good' enough. The benefit is that regular lenses are cheaper and thinner. Toric lenses, although do a better job correcting, can shift when you blink, they have a right-side up, and are a bit thicker. So we'll see how that goes.
In case you didn't know what happened to my last pair, they broke when this dude punched me. Time slowed to bullet time as I felt the spex shattering across my face. Serious rumble.
Oh, I don't actually get the new glasses until next week. And I'm probably going to get a 2nd, fancier, pair and keep the cheap Target glasses as spares, or for breaking. I also got a pair of prescription Ray Bans, they were cheap too! and actually made in Italy - kind of weird.
Anywhooo ... so I was too busy looking at resorts, villas & places to stay in Ixtapa-Zihuatejo, Mexico. I'm going there SOON. Like real soon, so soon, I might miss out on some fantastic rides this May. Summer is upon us, and so are the return of 1000+ ridazz.
@Roadblock, I guess I'm a computer consultant. Today I am updating a website I made for a client. I'm not going to show it to you because it's DUMB. So what I did today was dumb. What do I really do? Usually ride a bike, play video games, or try to spend quality time with my friends. Most of the time I'm plotting.
Ridazz!! I am back in the present for a moment to tell you of my travles!! I have been in the PAST for like a week now... it's crazy. I know many Ridazz (including myself) visit the future occasionally... but the past is ridiculous. None of the words are backlit! And I have to wait a whole day AND PAY $ to "refresh" any "page".... OMG. It is painful. Hopefully I will be back in the present or future soon. It is sooo quiet here too ::::sigh:::::: I miss you all. You can send correspondence by carrier pigeon to 1435 Ridge Way L.A. CA 90026. Luckily my bike is from the past and she likes it there just fine! oh yeah.... and I have to work in the past!!! EEEW! YEEP! BYE!
5:30 - Bikehouse, Star Wars Ride, ALC Donations, San Diego's coming, Sexy is bored and annoying, Jeff is a fluffa, Blah, Blah, Blah, Ride yer bike, dot com.
Dear Diary,
Today, I am too excited for the excited thread. So many things are in full swing. The Ridazz Bus keeps getting better and better, Nicole is too good for words, SMASH had 2 exciting projects pop out of nowhere, Cubcamp is tonight (!), Funderstorm will have an incredible first LP soon, and I just made the master spreadsheet for the Freedom Check Tour. The spreadsheet goes day by day, and I have pinpointed the daily route, distance, stop, and dates. Only something of such magnitude could justify leaving LA for any time period at all. Life is good.
I never knew Ass Paragus was an ingredient within Joose.
Anywho, in another two weeks, I'll be resuming the 5:30's for each, different time zone I happen to pass through.
Blow the horn, flip the Jakes, and roll her on gently.
MR is entirely iPhone unfriendly, unfortunately. The iframe within a page structure isn't valid on the iPhone, which doesn't support scrollbars. The only scrolling you can do is of the entire page, but MR doesn't work like that.
Pancakes are tasty and kick the waffle and French toast's ass!!!
And that really sucks about the iPhone also.
Only available on limited carriers and you still get a whole, lot of nothing for the money.
But, have you tried it on PSP?
I jacked my younger bro's unit and that thing does wonders for this site.
Then his football player ass smacked me in the back of the head and took it back.
50% of the time MR is unfriendly to my linux box running firefox. I don't know what it is, but sometimes I come to this site and my cpu usage shoots up to near 100%
Kyber, try using swfdec-mozilla as your Flash plugin, if you haven't already disabled Flash. The thing about swfdec is that it doesn't automatically start Flash movies like the other plugins do, so when you click on a page that's full of Joe Borfo's fucking useless crap-ass videos your browser plugin doesn't try to play them all at once.
Oh, wasn't sure I was gonna get it. Ok, so I had my favorite Chili today for a late lunch. We ended hanging out there for over an hour drinking beer with one of the workers. We brought the beer, they brought the chili, and it was awesome.
I've been excited about the new 4th Edition of Dungeons & Dragons. It's looking awesome in a way I didn't think it would. I can't wait to play it. Yeah, don't give me shit for playing D&D. I'll my devil minions your way, to eat your soul.
Oh, D&D ride, next month. I'm not sure what I'm going to do.
Hello Tuesday! I'm glad the Zuko is ok, i'll tear him a new one when he gets better. And as for Justin, can we get an update about where he is, his hand condition, etc.
I can't fucking wait. It's almost 5:30 dammit. Close enough! It's C.R.A.N.K. Mob weekend, which means its the best weekend of the month, and I"m not waiting any longer for it to start. Party on!
I hate looking like a TOPIC COP, but fuck. I have a bunch of mailing lists that I'm on, and that I manage. And there are many times people come straight to me and ask me "What's Going On?" But I'm like, "You're on the mailing-list!". They're like, "but there is SO MUCH bullshit, I can't follow it all."
Guess what? They're right! With the advent of Gmail & threaded conversations (very much like it is on here) people use gmail & this forum, like it's CHAT. But it's not chat, so conversations get interrupted by hijackers & occasionally accidentally because they are too busy typing away some long diatribe, and by the time they hit SEND (or Post Reply, as it would be on this forum), they're message is obsolete. Also with threaded conversations, people skip the thread altogether, or sometimes they just skim. Almost every time some detail, here or there, gets missed. What do you do?
Today Funderstorm got 2 confirmations for WarmShowers.com participants. Total strangers! Over the weekend we booked a show at The Cesspool Castle, a punk house in Joplin, KS. (What?)Our Myspace page is getting way more hits as word spreads, and I learned how to blog while we are the road.
I want it so bad. I am ready to melt into a touring bike and pedal our
songs. I am making a mental packing list. The physical part is even easier. Just cut the strings. The strings are being cut. Freedom is under check.
Anyone can get it.
Everyone can understand us.
No one will be ready.
5:30 on the first day back to work after ALC. Wanting to slit my wrists. They really need to have some sort of debriefing program so that riders don't go into shock from being exposed to so much AWESOME before being dumped back into their sad and undervalued real lives. Blaaaaah.
ok toweliesbong... it's 11pm now and i'm still here. do you know where your graphic designers are?
i also commend you on your optimism. likewise, the air conditioning and the beer is cold and plentiful here.
It's been a long time since people have made entries in the 5:30 thread. I haven't really prowled these forums in a while, and it really looks like a lot has changed. I'm away for a month, and who are these people? Some of you folks might even be wondering, "who is THIS jackass?". Well, I'm the Reverend Dak. You've seen me, I promise. Well, if you actually go on Midnight Ridazz, the rides, you have seen me, or have met me. And as for this forum, I can guarantee I was on here longer than most of you. Roadblock, Borfo and Turrican are pretty much the only active members that have been here longer than me. So what's the point of mentioning that? I'm trying to establish a bit of credit. Ok, you get it. So what's the point of this entry? Well, I've noticed that Midnight Ridazz has changed a lot. I realize that MR is a living community, much like language - it changes with time, adopts and adapts to the times. That's cool. I don't mind change.
I'm worried about the future of Midnight Ridazz, because it's something I look forward to every month. I hold the "Mother of All Rides" near and dear to my heart. I've seen Midnight Ridazz change constantly, but it's usually for the better and the survival of the event. I'm not going to point a finger, but I can currently see a few problems have (re)arise. I think we know, as a community, what needs to be done to guarantee the survival of Midnight Ridazz. It's an ugly proposition, but I think it means that certain attitudes are not welcome. Midnight Ridazz has always been inclusive. Anyone, and everyone, should be able to come and ride Midnight Ridazz without fear. It's a party, and the goal is to have fun or F.U.N. But there have been some glaring problems. Some are more serious to others, and at varying degrees. The bottom line is that WE, as a community, have to take care of these problems. No police, no judges, no jury, no enforcers or rule makers. When you see a problem, that can affect the long term survival of Midnight Ridazz, call it out. It may not be a big deal to some of you, but it might be a big deal to others. As long as you stay focused, and keep the survival of Midnight Ridazz in mind, you're probably right. It's really up to you. I know what I've got to do, and I'm doing it.
Here is an analogy: It's easier to poop in your pants than it is to poop in the potty. But you choose to use the potty for a reason, right?
It's the same reason with Midnight Ridazz. No one likes to smell like shit.
day 3 at new job (not including training) and I managed to spend whole day on internets!! also when it's time to close and they bring in the cruisers from the sidewalk they say "Cruiser Time" on the speaker...it's cute!
I have actually started trying to pluck my arm hairs one by one trying to use my right hand fingernails as tweezers. It is slightly satisfactory. For some reason the self-inflicted pain helps make the whole idea of being so bored totally ridiculous to the point where it is slightly humorous, making it slightly more tolerable.
BUT NOT REALLY
OMG OMG OMG OH MY GOD
Maybe I should go to the gas station next door and start taking shots of popoff vodka!!! Yaaaa!! Now that is some self inflicted pain to pass the time!
This whole boredom thing is really fuckin' with my head
"I have actually started trying to pluck my arm hairs one by one trying to use my right hand fingernails as tweezers. It is slightly satisfactory. If so, will you photocopy something cool? Like a collage? That'd be cool.
I'm watching the food channel and this lady just made the simplest most delicious looking pasta. Oh jesus. And I'm hungry. I'm about to eat a tub of ice cream, I swear.
but now, i have changed into my superhero costume, bike gloves on, helmet at the ready, bike with toe clips and lazer pointer a go and am about to take on the
VILLIANS OF LA CIENGA!!!!!!!
love you all.. am outta here -- MOST EPIC THREAD EVER!!!!
Briefs are not only pretty "ehhhhh" but I heard a rumor that it's bad for sperm too:
Testicles are in the scrotum (away from the body) because sperm are better suited in a little bit cooler temperatures than full body temperature. When you have a pair of briefs pinning your nutsack to your leg / chode, it raises the temperature of the goods- which makes the conditions less favorable for sperm: reducing the sperm count.
Riding a bike AND wearing briefs seems like a double whammy.
Today I woke up drunk from last night's Franziathon. I rode to work drunk. I worked drunk. I went to lunch drunk, only to come back drunk. Do not want drunk, but I can haz it.
Today Knitten staved off a move to be banned from MR. It was glorious and thoroughly entertaining. Also, the food waste debate dragged on, until Knittens shredded it. Really good stuff.
I really liked what Eddie said in the "Studio Portraits" thread...
"SEEMS I SHOULD GET THIS DONE OF ME, FOR PROSPERITY. "
Prosperity is a wonderful better purpose for doing things. Much better than Posterity (whatever that is) which, originally is why I wanted to post the following run-on style reply I posted in the "Dear Santa, ..." thread. Well, HERE'S TO PROSPERITY:
"Dear Santa, please I want a sub-machine that sits on the ground and can fit on my rack and isnt too long so that I dont have to take it off when I put my bike up on the hook and I need some AA batteries and I dont want to get arrested this weekend or Tuesday or all of next year and I want a Nicole clone or two that also fit well on my rack. and more Pendleton shirts and white hats that's kinda my thing now bc of the way the textures go tgoether looks crisp and I can get them dirty and since theyre wool they air dry which uses less energy to clean and I am really into that as resources and finances dwindle I'd like to buy a burrito instead of pay for a dryer. and I want the book club parties to go over really well I dont know of many books that are fun enough for a book club party just book club books i want to tell Oprah about our book club parties without actually inviting her that would be awesome though she would use money to party and i only know a couple people that do that man yeah ok we'll invite Oprah. last night was awesome i wish more people came to the show like i said above the one man jam needs new batteries but the sounds that come out of it are amazingly lo-fi terrible aw3esome and when the last band came on i watched the singer get shocked in the mouth by the mic repeatedly until his mouth swelled and they refused to play but right after our set the sound guy took us backstage and i thought he was gonna tell me i broke something bc the one man sounded awful but instead he hired us to play every tuesday its kinda on the low for now but next tuesday is my bday and the airliner is perfect for a party i wont want to clean up. maybe no one will show but maybe a few hundred people will show i can never tell bc there are so many new people on the forums and i imagine thousands of trolls all day reading this subliminal invite in the last few months every ride i go on i meet ten new people and they are all awesome i wonder if its a summertime thing i really missed Nicole this summer at least she'll be at my party."
For about 2 weeks after the tour I was writing letters to people and then going on walks and putting them in dumpsters along the way. I am having a hard time finding things that arent completely disposable. This post is almost gone and I havent finished it yet. Lets p
This morning I remembered a conversation I had with a friend of mine in like 2001 or so. He asked me and another friend what kind of vehicles our ideal super sexy dream girl would drive. My friend said a jeep, bc they're really sexy and you can see legs and whatever. I said that "I am a weirdo. Probably a school bus or something." SRSLY!
hahaha. I fell asleep that time. finally.
but guess what? it's 5:30 again! And you know what, this time I'm pretty sure I'll be able to fall asleep right after I post this.
I kind of took (or taken) my time with this one because it's [was] 15 minutes until 5:30. It would have been appropriate write and post this on 5/30. But that's way too far away and I know where I'll be at that time. So that would be cheating. So I'm going forward with a better planned cheat, and do this 7 days and [13 minutes and counting] ahead.
I had a lovely time today on Midnight Ridazz. I don't come here often anymore, but I was one of many (like yourselves) that were on here pretty much all day, and checking every 12 minutes. There's nothing wrong with that. There's nothing wrong with wanting to KNOW what's going on, at the moment it's released. That's totally cool. When I have nothing to do, like read a book or ride my bike, I find myself here. How ironic. Everyone of us here can DEFINITLY be doing something BETTER with their time. But they choose, instead, to be here.

It still blows my mind how many people, I see online all the time, and I'm only meeting recently. I met Coldcut, Andres & RayReyRiyRoyRuy recently. I may have met them before, but I got to know them, and now I will always and totally remember them. It was on one of the smaller rides, there were only about a dozen of us at first, and it dwindled to just a few before I left. I think it's really cool. I hope to meet more of you.
Ok, so. If you notice the clock will say 6:30 (or so)... when the fuck did the time become THREE hours different? Didn't it used to be two?! Dammit!
Oh well, instead of scratching this, I'm sending it anyway. I have 6 minutes left to go over grammer and spelling. Wish me luck.
The Fallen Fruit, Fresh & Easy, Show is actually interesting! I'm surprised. I'll be heading to Ghettogloss pretty soon, for Soulsticycle.
@coldcut, yeah, sorry about that crash - showering must SUuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. That was some serious road-rash going on there. Sidewalks are illegal to ride on in some cities for a reason.
Note, don't ride on the sidewalk. Especially the wrong way. Two people I know crashed on the sidewalk yesterday, totally unrelated crashes. One had to do with a car in a drive-way.
thanks. i've learned never to ride on a sidwalk, even if it's a short distance. i cracked my helmet and that could easily been my head if i had decided not to wear one that night. showering does suck!

I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. - John 5:30
(no, doesn't mean anything, other than being 5:30)
