Isnt a critical mass supposed to take place once a month??
If this is a weekly ride, why are they disguising it as a critical mass?

SFV CM has been meeting every 3rd Tuesday of the month for many years. It is a good ride. It, for the most part, recognizes the leaderless aspect of the ride. However, they might not always actually fall within the typical ideals of the original CM, but it's still a good ride. It's been a great thing for the Flufferville Cycling Community.
Let's support what this guy is trying to do regardless of the labels. No?

thanks for the info. i was not aware that there were "specific" guidelines to a mass.
"Critical Mass is a bicycling event typically held on the last Friday"
typically. doesnt mean there are strict guidelines for it. so lets all just get along....and ill call it the north valley critical mass thats not a critical mass ride. sounds good to me.

and i also held this ride to show the people of the north side san fenrando valley that bike are allowed to be on the road. no one knows shit. last week i was riding down foothill and some dude in a escalade with rims rolls up and flashed some fake ass badge.......im just trying to show people around here that we have legal use of the right lane.

There is no right or wrong. Humanity is flawed. We can pretend like we have purpose, or we can actually succumb to it and embrace the chaos as we inevitably will, regardless of what we do. Ride your bike. PC smoke a dong. and also...

If you want to do it weekly then rename it.. easy peasy
Either way you can do what you want. I just wanted to bring this fact to ur attention that its a monthly event not weekly.

Just remove the critical mass from the ride name, disaster averted. Apparently some of us stick to strict guidelines and aren't adept at adapting. Times are changing and sometimes it's hard to embrace the winds of change.
