This is a Halloween ride! Dress your best. Ghouls, ghosts, zombies, vampires, werewolves, etc.
There are stops along the way, and a zombie meet at the end. We are in the midst of planning an after party with free beer.
This will be a fun, slower paced ride, so bring your tall bikes, beach cruisers, low riders, etc. The ride leaves at ten pm sharp.
There is a Zombie Walk going on in Hollywood at the same time as this ride. We will be meeting up with them at the end of the ride.
Hollywood will have it's hands full with all the zombies and costumed riders.
I think it's pretty damn cool!
However this isn't an official MR Ride.
Maybe we could make it one?????
Also, if you have checked the route map, keep checking it because it may change from time to time. I've ridden the route once and may be changing it until we find what we think is perfect for all types of ridazz.
i'm going to be dressed as a washing machine! how am i going to ride that night!!! i'll figure something out! - i wouldn't miss this ride for anything!!!!!!!!!!
I just got this badass idea for my recumbent.
I either find a discarded coffin and cut out the bottom, or fashion one myself.
I put it around the recumbent and dress myself up as dead dude.
DEAD MAN ROOOOOLLING!!
Hit up my email man.
I have a giant cardboard coffin that I used last year on Halloween.
You are more than welcome to it.
It even has a two lids that open and close.
The ride is still starting at the Bike Oven, However it will not be ending there. I know this is a downside to some of you, but I want you to know that the Oven takes care of RIDAZZ. There is the 7th & Metro Redline stop less than a block from the end point, and a Metro Gold line stop less than a block from the Oven. So we have two suggestions for all you RIDAZZ to follow. On, is to park near the end point downtown LA, then take the metro over to the Bike Oven. It is the Southwest museum station, and we are less than a block away. The other option is to park at the southwest museum station, go on the ride and either A: take the metro back before 1:00am, or B: A few of the Bike Oven Volunteers will lead a ride from the end point to the start point at 2:00am sharp. This way no one is left behind or lost. We care very much about the safety and well being of any fellow rider, friend or acquaintance.
Also be on the lookout for some of the Oven volunteers to be bringing up the end to be sure no one is left behind or left broke down. The ride will start with a pre-party at the Bike Oven at 7:00pm. at the following address:
3706 N. Figueroa St.
Los Angeles, CA
90065
It will end at the Following address:
782 valencia
Los Angeles
90017
At the ending location you will find the following.
A kick ass Halloween Party!
Indoor parking for your bikes!
Three or more live bands!
Three bars serving mixed drinks!
A live Dj !
A costume contest!
And the best part......
This is a Halloween themed ride! Dress your best. Ghouls, ghosts, zombies, vampires, werewolves, etc.
There are stops along the way. This ride meets at the park across the street from the Bike Oven. 3706 N. Figueroa St., Los Angeles, CA 90065 It will be ending at the same place.
This will be a fun, slower paced ride, so bring your tall bikes, beach cruisers, low riders, etc. The ride leaves at 10:00pm. sharp. In light of the changes, the route will be back up again soon as we will be scouting a new one later this week.
Oops, I posted everything from the event page. It was supposed to read like this below.

This sounds almost too good to be true! How many bands are gonna be there? What kind of music? I'm very excited! I'm going to start looking for a costume this week. Some thing that I can wear and ride a bike at the same time. I have been on quite a few rides now, and after the rides you just go home. Half the time you don't know where you are and it just plain sucks. You guys seem to have it all figured out. Even having a ride after the ride to make sure everyone makes it back to the starting point. That's an awesome idea! I think all the rides would go better if they had this kind of planning. I hope there is a huge turnout!
Email me and I will send you all the contact info I have and we'll go from there. If nothing else, would you guys be interested in playing at the pre party? I'll have to see if we can do that, but that's a good alternative if the afterparty is all booked up. Some one else is heading up all the preparation and set-up for the afterparty. My email id "aggroman1@gmail.com".
As we say in The OC, Brit for Old Country!! Or Old Blighty for those in the know...........YOU GUYS ARE THE DOGS BOLLACKS!!!!!!!! I hope I'm not working!!!
We are looking for help keeping the ride together.
We were thinking some type of specific costumes for ride coordinators.
Maybe something like clowns. This way we know who all the corks, and ride leaders are. The biggest problem I'm facing is spoke cards. I have them designed and ready to go, I'm just having copy and lamination issues. A few people are looking into this, and I have yet to contact a few people from the "halloween help" thread, but I'm working on it.
I believe we will all be dressed as clowns with Orange safety vests.
We will be directing the ride (hopefully in the right direction), bringing up the rear, and some of us will be helping to fix flats and mechanical problems. So if anything goes wrong, or anyone has issues, they can look for a clown for help.
Free beer?
Free beer?.................Free beer?
So you are saying that there is a pre party, a kick ass ride, then an after party with free beer, multiple bars serving mixed drinks and a bunch of bands plus a dj room?
THAT IS FUCKING SICK!
You seriously know how to plan shit man! That would be fucking great if all the midnight rides were like this. Plus it says that you guys are having a ride back to the starting point too!! That's fucking awesome. I've been stuck in a few places I didn't need to be in the past because the ride just ended and I had no clue where I was. I am going to post the flyer for this on myspace and wherever I can. A few friends of mine stopped going on these rides but now I think I can convince them to come back. Keep the shit up man. The rides need more people to organize that work as hard as you do on them. Will there be spoke cards too?
Due to my personal lack of funds, spoke cards will be very limited.
They will be on hand, but if you want one I suggest you make your way to the pre-party as early as possible.
Unless of course any one would like to help out a bit. In that case, send me your email and I will send you the front and back card images.
RATT BONES...my cousin works for Fed ex and can get a sweet discount..Send me the images and we'll see how we can help out...
weedsmoke9@Yahoo.com / paulgodina007@Yahoo.com
I'd like to cruz by but we live kinda far away...Oxnard to be exact, Ventura County. Here's what I'm gonna do...We'll go ahaed and take care of the some of the cards a couple of hundred. and if you want we can meet up the day of the ride and get some more made with the discount. Let us know. either way we're gonna take care of some of the cards for you.
for the dude looking for a hotel, there's one in chinatown that's not too bad as far as cost and the location's pretty good... I forget the name though... but chinatown is about halfway in between the oven and the end.. and has a goldline stop if you're lazy/lost
I can't fucking wait for this ride. I have a feeling that this will be the best ride of the year. I've read the posting several times now and it looks and sounds amazing!
THX for the INFO on the Hotel FuzzBeast, China Town, got it! we will be e-mailing User1 for the rooftop offer, I will be attending the ride with Mee-Lady and she will be bringing a few friends with her…they’ve been doing back-flips and cartwheels all weekend and are impatiently waiting for, FRIDAY! Ratt_Bones, I & VINO will have it, you know…IT or IT’S!!!
I just got my wisdom teeth pulled so I'm pretty sure i won't be on the ride tommorow.I'm bummed I really wanted to go but everyone else have a blast!!!!
Maybe the only hilly part of the ride would be when we go from downtown into Koreatown. Just one stretch really... heading west on 5th St. over the 110fwy then it's all chill from there. It'll be cool.
oh man, fucking awesome ride! by far the best midnight ridazz ride i've ever been on. perfect amount of hills, the stops were super fun, and free sparks. all the ingredients for a bitchin' ride. i just started the photo gallery.
tired........don't........want........to...........ride.........tonight..........going to.........anyway..............................................................................................................................see you all there!
ya, i had way too much fun.
even when me and dan got lost forever in dtla haha
everyone looked sooo rad
and jumping rope was fun too,.
just where was all the brew???
I think I help stop the SUV and told them some choice words, but there were a lot of car drivers being impatient a**holes who also got checked.
If they don't like the diversity and traffic in the city why do these fools keep moving here? Why can't they stay in bumf**k small twn where they were born. I'm sure there's a mall with lots of parking near them anyway.
Were you the guy that said, "Is there a medical emergeny?". Was that you? Or were you there one that stood in front and wouldn't let them pass? Or were you the one with the zoro mask and black bandana that kicked the side of the door? Which one were you bro?
That ride was a lot of fun. I am so stoked that I was able to get that beat up rickshaw working. If anyone is interested in checking it out, we're storing it at the Bike Oven until we can figure out what to do with it. Thanks to Crespin and Wonder Dave for letting me ride it around town.
Maybe it will stay at the Oven permanently, for rides and parties. I need to repair the axle. If anyone has a large hydraulic press, or knows how to make a new axle (just a thick steel bar with some rifling on the end to screw the wheels on).
Ratt_Bones did a really good job getting this ride together. I can't believe the party at the end of the ride shut their doors on us.
BTW - gary7even - you always take the best photos!
Were you the guy that said, "Is there a medical emergeny?". Was that you? Or were you there one that stood in front and wouldn't let them pass? Or were you the one with the zoro mask and black bandana that kicked the side of the door? Which one were you bro?
Yeah, come on, bro! Incriminate yourself on the Internet!
" I need to repair the axle. If anyone has a large hydraulic press, or knows how to make a new axle (just a thick steel bar with some rifling on the end to screw the wheels on)."
Joseph, I think I can make an axle for that rickshaw. I'll have to come by the Oven to take some measurements. Let's talk.
Great job on the spoke card too. That is a definite keeper man!!! For those that didn't get one, maybe eBay?
The after party was a big hit too. I really think we stumbled on to something. Why not just have an impromptu street party at the end of the ride? I'm sure we would have had more fun out side than inside that night!
Finally the banana on banana action was VERY erotic!!!! I'll help fight for banana rights from now on!
Oh he can be found at CSUN. He teaches there. See he's a professor there at a public university that promotes diversity. Funny huh? It's all good with me. A police report was filed already. All it takes now is a subpoena for the records from the site. Nice chatting with you.
Oh and by the way. The SUV that you stopped. The one that was traveling in it's proper lane. You know the right lane. The one where we travel in the U.S. Well that car was driven by a 5'3'' Japanese girl. I hope a Japanese citizen is ok with P-3000. Is it ok that she lives here? OR should she go back home?
Well, you see in her country they respect the "diversity of traffic" and the bicycles stay in their lanes and the cars stay in theirs. The only problem with that night was that the bicycles headed into her lane head-on.
Is this typical for you to ride in the wrong lane. What a man you are too P-300. You and your buddies really showed that 5'3' 130lbs. girl who was boss!!! Man the three of you really showed her! Hiding behind those masks was very brave too! LOL!
If you want a real contest just let me know where you want to meet and I'll be happy to discuss this with you further in person. I'm a ittle bigger that her though. You might need more of your "Gang" to intimidate me.
So the invitation is yours. Talk is cheap professor. Let's see you man up to this. I doubt you ever would. Have fun riding your little bicycle and ringing your bell. It's too bad the Midnight Ridazz have an ass like you in their ranks.
I guess it was a good thing I didn't do the tunnel loop.
I stayed behind at 2nd street and Broadway so I could radio in where the end of the group was. I waited there for a few others until the ride came back around.
I guess that explains why I saw blinky lights reflecting off the ceiling (I was down a hill so I couldn't see into and down the tunnel) of the tunnel for a good five minutes or so. I saw a small video clip some one posted that showed Ridazz in the tunnel circled around something. I guess that's what was going on.
Is this typical at your events? I mean or at least I hope this was a small group of people doing this. It really gives you guys a bad name though. They caused damages to the car. Who pays for that?
I respect your right to have your rides. Hell it looks like a lot of fun! I just don't get a bunch of guys ganging up on a girl in her car when she was in her lane. She wasn't trying to hit you guys. It's very disappointing to say the least.
Knight Rider you really got some issues to work out, picking a fight online that, is so 15yr old. Seems like you just got on this site to start fights, so maybe you go on the ignore list.
No I didn't stop and harrass anyone. If the cars kept rolling as bikers got close I would yell some choice words but never touched any car or 'attacked' anyone. I know the limits, unlike you.
Stay in you KITT car and leave the peaceful riding to the ridazz lil Knight Rider.
I have seen you post on here before in regards to a motorist/cyclist incident. So what is it you do?
Do you tail the Midnight Ridazz in a car? Are you riding in the group? Hell, I believe that makes you a part of the group. With that said, is this how you treat a 5'3" Asian girl? let her get pummeled by no good bike riders?
If you are so great and good......why didn't you defend her? Obviously you were there. I guess it takes more guts to hide behind an internet screen name than it does to just come out in person.
I hate hypocrites There is nothing lower than people who can't practice what they preach.
Why don't you make a ride, design a route, make cards, spend a few hundred bucks, call it something like the "car hugger" ride.
Then, go ahead and police the several hundred ridazz by yourself.
Let's see how you react when some dipshit decides to try and blame you.
Are you seriously this stupid? My ten year old seems to have more common sense than you do.
For one, I didn't see the incident, nor was I present when it took place, yet you go on a stretch and elude that I may be responsible for damage to a car I have never seen? Fucking stupid. Was there no thought behind this?
Apparently you know every one on here pretty well in person. Shit, you even gave a name of some one in a costume. It's pretty safe to say that you are a Rida. It's also pretty safe to assume that you were there when it happened (which by the way, puts you in a position of much more responsibility for this mishap than myself).
Good luck on your continuing quest to be a prick.
I hope it goes well for you.
First of all I have never been on here before today. If there are other people who have issues with members like yourself I can easily understand that.
I don't come after anyone unless they provoke me. I have a thorough understanding of the law and am not looking for any trouble.
P-3000,
First you stated that you stopped the car. Then when you realized what a dumb thing you admitted, you back peddled.
I'm not looking to do you any harm. I never made any such statement on here and never would. I do everything legally. You on the other hand like to verbally threaten small women. Well, let's be fair you so that when you have people there to make you feel safe.
All I asked was that you take responsibility for what you did and act like a man. Meet me and we can discuss this further. There are damages to her car.
Wouldn't that be easier than trying to teach with a criminal record. She was there. She did see you. Is this where you want this to go? Let's be grown up here can we?
No apologies until you apologize for the guy who threw a glass bottle the other day while we were riding up sunset. I know that since you too drive a car, you must know this guy personally. I also figure that since you're an internet vigilante, that you have tons of resources available to catch the bad guys. Look, I know you know the scumbag who threw the bottle at us. I DEMAND that you turn him in immediately or I am going to the police and produce a vague thread on the internet as evidence.
BTW, "Have it your way" is a registered trademark of Burger King Corporation. I heard that the King himself is known to frequent this forum, so I advise that you watch your back.
Yeah!! Man... FLAG and the Knight Industries think that they can just push anyone around. Who's behind all this?? Devon Miles? Tell him to take a step back. C'mon Michael.. he's always telling you what to do. Join us...
I have every intention of leaving it to the police. The report is already filed. You seem to have a fascination with me. I didn't start any of this. I'm sorry that people give you a hard time on the road and throw things at you. However, that doesn't give you the right to shit on me for asking that you simply stay on your side of the road. I never had any cause to bother anyone from your group and never would have.
This is on the people in your group that attacked a car. If you can't control the people in your group then you'll have far worse problems than this. Here's an idea. Plan a ride in East LA or Compton and pull that shit there. See how that works out for you.
Leave your boards alone? Keep your hands to yourself. Stay on your side of the road. Don't make threats to drives. Try that out and we'll never need to have this conversation again!
Just in case anyone is uhm-- naive enough to consider explaining what happened the other night, I advise you NOT to say anything on this forum for obvious reasons.
If in fact there was an incident, it will be handled accordingly. There's absolutely no reason to get into specifics here. It's obvious that we have people here trying to dig for infomation. Don't give it to them.
That's right. Advise everyone to withhold information regarding a crime. That in itself is a wise thing to post.
What is there to hide anyhow? Is this a regular thing with your group? Why all the secrecy?
I would think you wouldn't want violent people in your ranks. Isn't that what the midnight ridazz are about?
What Midnight Ridazz is:
-Fun
-Friendships
-Non Confrontational
-Family
-Compassionate
-Open - Minded
-Multi-cultural
What Midnight Ridazz is NOT:
-Mean Spirited
-Political
-Commercialized
-Non-inclusive
-Abrasive
-Protest
Non-confrontational?:
We beat on your car because we have a weird hangup with people that drive cars! We have more of a right to the road than you do and if we should ride head-on into you...well that's your problem not ours!
Compasionate?:
If one of us does something to you like assault you or your property we'll cover for each other. Hey, the damages are your problem! We aren't responsible for our selves or any of our members.
I was saying that in the US, we have this little thing called the right not to incriminate ones self (also known as the 5th amendment.) We can leave the specifics to the police, even though Michael would have just handled the situation himself.
You called the cops and now you're engaging in Internet vigilantism. I think that is pretty wise.
In your own words, let's meet up and "discuss" this.
Unless that is of course your "Chicken".
Maybe we can meet at 3:10 at the bike rack after school let's out.
Oh hell, you just name the time and place.
We'll sit down and have some tea and crumpets.
I can let you spill out all of your bullshit in person, maybe then you'll just do the right thing and die.
And F.Y.I.
Don't fuck with the Ubray.
It's just something you won't win.
and just for the record, the ridazz have ridden in south central and east LA, and do so regularly...
IF there was an incident, then it is the responsibility of THOSE INVOLVED ONLY. It has Nothing to do with the rest of us.
I didn't see any cops on that part of the ride, so I guess it was the person in the car who decided to not call the cops at that point and have it handled.
I was one of the first people into and one of the last people out of the tunnel, I didnt see any such incident, so I'd really like to know what the fuck you're talking about. If I were to drive a car and happen upon a mass of cyclists stopped in an area, maybe blocking the street, I guess my first reaction would be to try and drive through the mod, rather than to A) wait a few minutes for them to clear out, or B)go around, downtown is a grid, go over a block or two and you can get around any obstruction. This happens all the time for movie shoots.
Also, Id like to hear you apologize for the dudes that threw that bottle, after all they drive cars, they must be with you, everyone knows that all car drivers are part of the same group.
"If you want a real contest just let me know where you want to meet and I'll be happy to discuss this with you further in person. I'm a little bigger that her though. You might need more of your "Gang" to intimidate me. "
I'm calling you out fucknut!
I do want to meet up with you in person, and YOU might need to bring a few buddies with you. I'm a very big guy, and very hard for some one my size to take down. You wanted a contest, well you've got one!!!
Let's see you put your money where you"re where you're mouth is!
I'll be at the next ride, and I'll be the only 6'3" man on a beach cruiser.
All you have to do is show up and say your peace. Just say it to everyone and stop being a pussy! If that's not enough for you then just say the word. Me, you, and you're buddies can go take a walk and deal with this in private.
That's what I'd be saying if I was a dick like you.
Or hiding behind a screen name on an internet forum.
I'm also assuming you are the guy who sent me the email and messages regarding this matter.
I've spoken to a few people about this, and apparently this situation is just made up.
No one that I've talked to who went through the tunnels recalls seeing anything like this happening.
STOP BEING A PUSSY.
If you are so hard up for being an asshole.
Just come out with it and deal with people face to face.
I saw the entire incident that Knight Rider is talking about.
the "japanese girl" as knight rider describes was signaling to make a left hand turn out of the tunnel heading north on 2nd st with the intention of heading west on figueroa. at the time, riders were actually streaming in both southbound lanes on 2nd st. heading in to the tunnel through the green light. no riders were in the opposite lane of traffic initially.
the driver was becoming impatient while waiting for the stream to end and began to intimidate the riders by veeering into her intended left turn and thus the oncoming stream of southbound traffic. this caused many riders to have to veer to their left (the driver's right) in order to avoid the oncoming impatient driver's aggressive moves.
at this point and sensing danger, several riders stopped and asked her to stop trying to cut through the mass informing her that it was dangerous and that it would only take a few minutes. she kept moving forward in lurches and in such a way as to threaten and intimidate those who were standing before her which escalated the situation. as she kept moving forward and the situation became life-threatening riders yelled and one person asked her "if it was an emergency" to which she simply laughed and inched into the oncoming traffic of bicyclists. at this point she was splitting the stream as riders were forced to go around her on both sides. had it been an emergency the riders as is traditional, would have worked to let her through the mass. but since she never stated as such and simply ignored the question riders worked to stop her from harming the bicycle riders.
at a certain point very obviously she realized that driving through the mass would mean that she would be liable for assault with a deadly weapon - her minivan - and chose to instead move forward and to the right into the mass of riders who were at the time forced to ride around her right side. she drove rather callously and in the process I know of at least one female cyclist who lost control and skidded to the side of the road to avoid being hit. it was obviously in a fit of rage that this driver proceeded because any conscious rational person would understand that driving into a mass of oncoming cyclists could result in vehicular manslaughter. fortunately no one died in this incident.
that being said, there is no reason to lash out at this knight rider fellow. he is only trying to cover his friend and voice his complaints. lashing out at him only escalates the scenario where we should be working to bridge the gap to our friends in their cars.
he was apparently the passenger and had nothing to do with the incident. the perpetrator was the driver. hopefully she can be identified.
