another stolen bike

my cannondale blacklighting has been stolen... it is all black with white LOOK pedals... hmmm, it has a red tire on the back... it is near down town LA.... it was taken from bixel and 6th street.... i left it by my job and they have cameras so i am hoping i can see you took it but if you see it on the streets or on CL please let me know... thanks...

thanks for the help... but i was able to get my bike back.... the cameras caught the teenagers that took it and a co worker recognized one of the kids that comes to the center... we were able to go to his place and asked for the bike... they gave it back without too much trouble... i am just really happy because that is my mode of transportation right now... but thanks for keeping an eye out, it looks exactly the same except for the pedals...

Glad you got your bike back! But... did they get past your ulock? Or how did you have it locked? Cable? Smart parking your bike within the cameras view. Good news!

it was not the new kryptonite U-lock... it was the old kind... it is black and kind of thin... i am going to invest on a better U-lock....

Damn! I thought they could only do that on the old kryptonite locks? That one was the forgetaboutit lock wasn't it? How can they continue putting out these crappy locks?

i really don't know why they still sell breakable ulock. I tried it on my ulock and it also broke.

I'm no expert on Kryptonite locks, but the chick said that was a $160 New York something. That sure looks like the Kryptonite NY forgetaboutit lock.
Admittedly I thought this issue was resolved when Kryptonite offered people an exchange.

the yellow kryptonite locks are the old ones that are susceptible to this. the black/orange ones are the new updated ones that are safe.
