We're making a strong effort to start an LA Bike Culture 'zine. We hope to have the issue zero out by Summer and would like contributors.

@erock, I have a couple things I'd like to submit for your approval. I will contact you directly. I think the idea is awesome. Someone should definitely publish some sort of mag or zine about LA's bike scene.

Please include some articles relating to us lone-wolf's out here in the bad-lands.
Then I'll distribute these things to the local, pockets of various cyclists that actually exist out here.
Tough, because I only see them on the weekends on those rare, times that I'm up and riding at 6:30 AM.

I would certainly be interested in contributing. I actually had planned out a similar idea with user soso as a potential culture enhancing with a side of donations for the ALC team. However time commitments with work interfered and never got things off the ground.
I have a big list of article ideas. Also have a bunch of copies of Urban Velo and a stack of other bike zines that I purchased as reference material. The school I went to produced a zine as part of a class, and I have copies of those as well, a lot of creative stuff was done . I also have a copy of the book "Whatcha Mean, What's a Zine?" which is chock full of inspirational information from numerous zine creators who are contributers to the book.
I can possibly contribute writing, illustrations, layout design & photography with bits of free time I can scrap together.

it would be cool to do a day in the life of bentstrider ride. Go up there and force people to ride long desolate stretches of road solo, wrestle Gila monsters, and jump in the cabs of big rigs and toot the horn. AWZUM! Then write about it and make it lame!

I'm really digging these attitudes and enthusiasm.
We will be discussing content over the next couple weeks and would like to have any ideas submitted to us IN WRITING for these meetings, no later than April 5th. If we think that we can use your ideas for issue zero awesome, otherwise, there's always space in the next issue!

I want to see an interview of the people that confront a large group of ridazz and is ready to kick ass. Like the dude that came out of his apartment with a big ass stick ready to kick ass on 20+ ridazz cause they're making noise. This happened in the morning hours before the marathon. I want to know what makes them think they can take on 20+ ridazz.
BTW, this has happened at least four times on different rides I've been on.
