Rida of the Week
I would like to see a Rida of the week- A forum topic about a different rider each week with the purpose of getting to know each other better. The selected person could answer a generic list of questions then people can ask other questions and post memories. Anyone else like this idea? The rider of the week could pick the next rider from those people they see being active on the forums (but don’t know very well). Anyone what to write the questions or be the first rida?

thats hilarious...it would defintiely make it easier to know who is who. if the existing profile pages included more info to fill out, we could also have more room to grow, so to speak. i dont really bother looking at the profiles anymore, but i did before i signed up to log-in.
also some of you freaks have 10 names. and they all suck.
AND whoever has screen name <"Funderstorm">. I still want the password. Even though I still dont know who you are, I wish you were someone that didnt know me, bc I am now a little more paranoid of people I know. Give out the password.

This is such a good idea! In the last week, serendipitously, I've run in to some fellow ridazz, either commuting or just meeting up outside of group rides. I got a chance to talk and listen *someone* I already think of as a MR all*star and I would like to nominate him. We all know and appreciate him.... and hopefully he doesn't mind my gushing over what a sweet guy he is... I nominate Big Bike Dan. Running into him (figuratively, although I did run into him LITERALLY once!) gave me a chance to get to know him better and what he had to say about what we are doing gave me good chills and was really inspiring. BIG BIKE DAN!!!

I second the nomination of BBD. Only thing is, he doesn't read this site so somebody would have to submit the questions to him written on parchment, or etched into a slate, or however the fuck people used to do it before the Internet.

BBD is the soundtrack to our gatherings. Great man with a great charming attitude. he does it for us i think we should throw a BBD ride..for his B-day..he'd go craze if we all got him like bike shop certificates. You know cuz keeping a hauling trailer up to par, knowing the extense of his riding can be expensive...

Well maybe Big Bike Dan would end up using the forums if we had a topic about him. I’ll start a new forum topic- RotW (Rider of the Week)= Big Bike Dan

rider of the week is a neat idea. it could bridge the gap between the ride calendar (impersonal) and the forums (message boards tend to be intimidating and cliquish to newbs/nonmembers)
that said, it should have some kind of permanent identity on the page, a la sexiest photo, and yet independent of the forums. sounds like a project, eh? ill vote for me as coordinator, and roadblock as webmaster.

It doesn’t look like BBD will end up picking the next rider of the week. He hasn’t posted anything on his own forum topic. Let’s pick someone who uses these boards as the next rider of the week. I’m in the lead. :) I vote for Roadblock.

Keep the week-month talk off RoadBlock's rider of the week topic. That is for lov'n and hating RB. I say a week because we have hundreds of ridazz to get to know and more everyday. You can keep posting to past ridas of the week forever but lets do a new one each week.

badger song crew is dtill in effect, man. We are a close group. The weekly ride died...that's it. We probably rode more miles than TWBG has ever ridden in a couple of months. And, we still lit it up and had some beer at the end.
