I really really really want to go....I am trying to formulate a plan for getting there at 7:30 (not hard as long as I drag my ass out of bed) and be in Bev Hills at 10 for work....any suggestions?

I'm guessing that Lance will do a loop that ends back at the zoo parking lot at 9ish. from there I would high tail it over Los Feliz to vermont, left to franklin right, argyle left, to hollywood right to vine left to fountain right and cut across to curson or crescent heights perhaps even la cienega and drop down to santa monica and off to bev hills. about 45 mins travel time.

Not to take from Roadblock post...
But i have to ride to work after... just past the 405
Im thinking of taking Los Feliz ---> Western ----> Santa Monica Blvd (all the way across)
This will drop you off right above Beverly Hills (shopping area, Rodeo and such).
Not sure where you need to be... but thats my route back (i think)...
It should take 50-55 min for me... so RB is probably right at the 45 min mark for BH

I routed her through vermont to franklin to avoid some of the traffic of los feliz blvd and hills near western... I like franklin to argyle because it is also mostly a wider residential street which will drop down to fountain which also avoids some traffic and such finally depositing her onto san mo where the bike lane starts.... I hate san mo east of crescent heights and try to avoid it most of the time....

I'm STOKED for this. Unfortunately... I'll probably only be able to ride for 30 min before going home to get ready for work... BUT I think I'll ride to the Griffith observatory beforehand, and then meet up with you folks at the fountain on my way back to zoo lot.

youre such the better cyclist... Santa Monica is becoming fun day afte day... its like riding singletrack in the mountains... you have this small amount of space (right side of the lane) and you have to pick a line to dodge holes, or not flip over your bars...
Bikes are fun.

I think he did... but it never bothered me... Lance is a marvel... his physiology changed after cemo, and it made him into this crazy rider in certain respects... I think he would be unmatched whether doped up or not (i.e. if every was clean or everyone doped).
Some of that footage though... you just think "he had to be on something"... even Contador.

hey, if you go tomorrow, Ill try to say what up and introduce myself (though I have no idea who you might be-- i'll just look for your MR barcode). I dont know when Ill ride with Lance again, might as well take advantage and see what happens.
