How are YOU indentified???

On a ride that is.
Is it your bicycle that gives you away?
Your booming voice that hits the eardrum of every soul on the ride?
That flashy pair of pants you just pulled out of your little sisters/brothers closet?
Anywho, in that sea of taillights, metal and muscle, there is something that manages to make us be recognizable to each other in the midst of all the excitement.

I'm not sure. Maybe it's my helmet? There's nothing special about me- I ride a small black bike with a rack on it and I'm usually dressed pretty plain. Somehow people seem to spot me out pretty easily though.

It depends, for me: I think I was Identified by my drunkenness on some rides, on my helpfulness on others. I was also identified by my optimism for pushing limits...long and / or fast rides (not that I was the fastest rider, or the longest riding rider). A few people picked me out because of my bike.
Now I am not identified, because I live on an island.
I miss you all. I miss LA.

haha! At first, I thought you were saying "Bravo!" to my post...but I realized you were referring to the name Mexico (and Mexicans) give to the Rio Grande, which beautiful river I did, in fact live near for many of my younger years. Also, it is a river, and environment, to which I have a new-found admiration.

No worries tern- that comment was directed toward Larsen.
We had a long running joke about hating each other's bikes despite the fact that they were exactly the same.
Now my bike is indeed gone, but the fuck bikes must live on!
