There is only a few amount of stars that are known like Micheal Jackson. You know when you are a legend When people in other countries with lil to no money and food. But have that one lil Radio and a Micheal Jackson song comes on and they go fucking nuts to the sound of "Rock with you" and "Thriller" and other great hits. Hmmph Tupac was almost as good but not really. lol

OK, this one doesn't work so well. Because, you know, the conventional scenario is that when you die you go
to God, even if only to be judged at a later time. However, in the spirit of inclusivity, I will give you a courtesy LOL.

Woah, seriously? My ex-boyfriend played drums in The Seeds for a while (which was just Sky and a bunch of random young band members). That dude was a serious freak attack, but I'm way more bummed about him dying than MJ.

MJ is one of those people or rather icons that everybody just dumps there own ideas on.
The cynical will focus on his worst moments.
The nostalgic will remember him as a charming kid or a teenage heartthrob with a baby tiger.
But everybody has something to associate with michael. He is as famous as jesus and in some ways just as symbolic.
The first thing I thought of was a party I went to in Echo Park in the 90s. Some artists found a bunch of MJ 8x10s in "a dumpster". They were all pinned to the wall of this little underground gallery called Over Here (where Show Cave is now).
The DJ played nothing but michael for the entire night. The place was packed and people couldn't stop dancing.
I blew my mind.
I mean 99% of everybody seemed to be there because the whole thing was silly, ironic, etc etc.
But It was undeniable, people could not resist dancing to his music, and the hits seemed to be in never-ending supply.
Michael was a weird concoction of american media/ music industry/ weird family/ the hopes dreams, fears, and prejudices of the world.
Hopefully his passing will mark a moment when people will spend less time judging him and taking pot shots at the insanity that his life became and just remember that he was one of the most gifted and prolific american artists of the century.
RIP michael.
