It's "Advocacy Time" again. The Los Angeles Bicycle Advisory Committee meets tonight at 7pm.
Tonight we'll be pushing for a "Mass Transit Incident Investigative Unit" that is responsive to cyclists. Had a run-in with a Metro or Dash operator?
PC - You in?

Man, I hate to say it but I won't be able to make this one. It'll be the first one I've missed since I started going in February. I had some things to talk about, too. Like the sucky, dangerous, useless new bike lane down here in San Pedro, which I told them a few months back would be sucky, dangerous, and useless (I told 'em why, too).
Somebody go in my place! Please! Somebody, or somebodies! Do it for me. You know I'd do it for you.

Damn! I won't be able to go either!
I am managing the shop at the Bike Oven tonight. Argh!
Stephen - could you ask that the board recommend that the DOT provide the public with a compilation of all crash statistics, city-wide, that they compile?
The could do the same with the LAPD, General Services, the LAFD, and other city departments - this data could go a long way in helping the council make rational decisions regarding roadway planning and funding in their districts.
I wish I could go! Drat! Drat! Foiled again by those lousy bicycles!
