I think i either bent my front rim or i am putting the breaks on wrong...can anyone help me with this? what do i do?

 when you pick the front of the bike up and spin the wheel, does it wobble? if you answered yes, then your rim is out of true.

other than that i cant help you because what you typed isnt nearly descriptive enough.

 it sounds like your brakes need to be adjusted. Are they rubbing on just one side or both?

 you should be able to adjust it on your own. It sounds like your breaks are just unbalanced to one side. there are little screws at the pivot points on each side that you can adjust pretty easily with a little allen wrench. loosen one as you tighten the other to shift the resting position of the pads in either direction

 Adjusting your brakes is fairly straightforward, but usually this stuff happens with a wheel that's gone out of true.

Try undoing the nut behind the center of the brake and moving the brake to a non-rubbing position. Then spin the wheel and see if the wheel wobbles. If so, it's out of true. If not, you can tighten the nut back up and be good to go.

As for truing the wheel, if you can get to your local bike collective (bikerowave / bike kitchen / bike oven), you can learn to do it yourself pretty easily.

Or you can buy a spoke wrench and use the brake pads as a guide and true the wheel yourself. Just tighten the spokes on the side opposite the rubbing side, and loosen the spokes on the rubbing side (only 1/4 turn at a time, or you can make things worse).
