i love the TT guys but yeah, it's a bit wack to post a ride up on here that's "invite only". i understand the reasons for making the ride more exclusive but if you want the ride to be "underground" then just run it on FB and take it off this site.

We have been posting our ride for over two years on MR.com and the site has been great to us and we really love the Midnight Ridazz site and ethics (Rulezz of the Ride), but yes we are trying to incorporate some sort of more personal message of responsibility into our posting/invites to make the ride safer for everyone. We are trying new things each week to get the message out that we don't want or welcome the reckless ridazz, thieves, taggers, litterbugs, and/or people who yell negative comments at the public or police on the ride. We have been talking about not posting on MR.com anymore, but it's so hard to leave something you love behind without a least trying all possibilities before you do.

Maybe we can have Bentstrider escort the ride with a paintball gun and mark the people who ride dangerously with a nice little red splotch of paint on their person. LOL, almost willing to try anything to keep our ridazz safe these days from the bad elements and reckless riding that have been plaguing the rides.

Love TT and love you XL but The rides posted should be open invite. If everyone started privatizing the rides it would suddenly make this thing called midnight Ridazz inclusive.

Desperate bullshit calls for desperate counter-measures.
Preserve the ride by trying out various methods to root out the brigands that want to see cool things like this crash and burn.
After they feel they've accomplished their mission here, they'll try to suck the joy out of something else until everyone just stays home.

We are not trying to privatize the ride, but I guess that we ARE trying to exclude some of the people who do not contribute towards a safe and fun ride. I understand your overall statement of a ride not being exclusive, but do we need shoulder the burden of dangerous ridazz, tagger, thieves, and people who's action work towards the demise of the ride overall week after week and can possibly hurt safe and careful ridazz? I know this has been an issue since probably the start of the MR rides getting bigger and bigger, I have been in many of the discussions of what can be done to stop the bad elements from occurring on rides. By sending invitations to people with attached messages of what is expected or reasonably asked of each rida if they would like to attend Taco Tuesdays. We are attempting to reach everyone on a personal level and let them know that this is their ride too and they need to be proactive about protecting the rest of the group. We love posting here and using the website, we just want to see if the personal invites help with lowering negative incidents occurring on the ride instead of getting to the point of wanting to ending the ride for good. I know we must sound like a broken record, but repetition of rida eduction seems like to only option we have left before drastic measures have to be taken.

I was against the whole idea of invites but after being on a Taco Tuesday after the invite system and seeing the improvements I agree with the system....

Making the ride exclusive to facebook will do nothing to keep the thugalitos from coming out. I honestly think there's more retards who attend rides via facebook than MR.
If you want to change things for the better maybe think of about changing the "party" element of the ride? It's the only logical way. Idiots are attracted to party rides. Nothing will ever change that.

I dont disagree with it. but it does go against the policies of the ride calendar to post rides that are private. obviously Taco Tuesdays is a huge part of what makes the MR world go around... so it would suck to see it leave the calendar, still, posting of private rides on there doesnt seem right and if everyone were to do it, the calendar would be pointless for all the new people out there who want to find something cool but dont know anyone. what to do?
