The Downtown Art Ride is a monthly group bicycle ride that coincides with the Downtown Art Walk. Our route takes us to nearly every gallery that takes part in the Walk, except for MOCA Grand and the Central Library. We begin our trip at Art Murmur, meeting at 5pm and leaving at 5:30pm. Just a nice lil cruise through my part of town. We'll be passing by some nice neighborhoods, some food spots, a great tapioca drink spot, the mall if u guys want, and then back to the start. Don't know too many other people from the SGV that ride and hope to stir up enough interest for a monthly SGV ride. We'll be meeting up at the corner of Sierra Madre and Colorado at the grocery store parking lot. This is near the Sierra Madre Villa for you folks that are taking the gold line train to the event.

We will be catching the 7:55am ferry (I know it is early but it is worth it)
Meet at the base of the Harbor Steps at 7:15am
It costs $7.50 to ride the ferry as a commuter, or you can register for $22 and get a bib number which gets you support (food stop, hot
cider...)
Wear a costume and bring a noisemaker this is going to be fun.
It is a 33-mile hilly route so bring anything you may need (more layers, water, tubes, snacks...) but remember, NO RIDA LEFT BEHIND!!!

Jim C - of the Bicycle Kitchen and Orange 20 Bikes – was seriously injured on his bike late last year when a motorist ran a stop sign and hit him. Jim suffered a broken nose, punctured lung, lacerated liver and kidney, several broken ribs and three fractured vertebrae. After a few days in County Hospital, he was back at work; but the injuries will take a while to heal, and the bills even longer to pay off.

Yes, winter is here! Its time to bundle up and stay warm, but still ride! Everyone has a scarf right? (Actually, I might need to borrow one!) Anyways, it would be a great sight to see hundreds of scarfs flying in the air as we roll thru the valley. We are riding to Castle Park miniature golf on sepulveda blvd - we probably wont end up playing golf, but will keep riding on!
