Wednesday Night Quickie on the WESTSIDE

MEET TIME: 7:30pm - START TIME: 8pm
The ride will meet at 7:30 and depart at 8:00pm sharp.
This is a breezy 20 mile (or so) ride
from downtown Culver City to Santa Monica and back
with three ten minute snack stops.
The start and end point will be the gazebo within the
Ivy Sub-station park in down town Culver City.
The cross streets are Culver and Ince (90232).
The gazebo is directly inbetween an In n' Out Burger and Trader Joe's.
So there will be food within walking distance before the ride.

We will meet at Hollywood and Highland Station Metro Station at 2pm
We will end our ride in Downtown. There are plenty of places to choose from for eats and drinks
between lil' Tokyo, Chinatown, and Olvera St.
We will ride at a mellow pace, regroup as necessary and stop to eat and drink. (maybe once for
snacks and coffee during the ride then for
dinner after).

Spoke'n Dissent at the Rose Parade

No Torture! Shut down Guantanamo! Drive Out the Criminals from the White House!
Bring your bike to the Rose Parade to walk (or ride at 2.5 miles/hour) at the end of the parade. Bring a sign with any message you'd like to share or get an orange bandana or sign from the World Can't Wait folks to wear in solidarity with those suffering torture and confinement at guantanamo and other U.S. overseas military prisons.
The Rose Parade actions are likely to get T.V. and other media coverage.

To get to the ride...take the 10 freeway east from LA area (west from the IE), exit Indian Hill, go North (left), right on bonita, left on college, right on tenth. or mapquest it.
The ride will be from 25-35 miles, at a decent speed. One or two stops along the way for yummy food or liqueur store perishables.
We are trying to build up this ride again so come out and support!!! Especially if you are in the area.
