Here's the short of it:
The company responsible for building the Expo Line has opted to omit the bike path section of the line. If it is not included in the planning process now, it will be more expensive and less likely to be built later.
IT IS IMPORTANT FOR US TO BE HEARD NOW. PLEASE WRITE OR CALL THE OFFICIALS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE POSTING AND MAKE IT TO AS MANY MEETINGS AS POSSIBLE.

 The second meeting of Bike 'n' Bake- for lovers of bikes and baking. We meet every other week to trade recipes, techniques, and generally bake up a storm! All levels of experience welcome- just be willing to learn.
This week is free-for-all, bring any sort of recipe you'd like! Even if you don't know how to make it- we can teach you!
Mardi Gras was last Tuesday, so this party is Mardi Gras themed! Bring your beads, costumes, and new orleans recipes!

We have an army of bikers why not initiallize them and get stuff done on our own. Raise our own funding if we have none, make our own sharrows, paint curbs red so that bikes can fit on the street plus all your ideas on how to infiltrate the city and bring down people that dont help us but are assigned to positions of power. To Where: To Grifith Park and back. Lots of bike paths.

The IE needs it's own Critical Mass! Ok, well maybe it's not so "critical" and not really a "mass". But you know what it is? It's a fun bike ride!
Every 3rd Friday of the month. Meet location is the REI parking lot in Rancho Cucamonga, which is located on the northwest corner of Foothill and Day Creek. (We won't actually start riding until 7:30 for you stragglers).
Bring friends, bring family, bring lights (the more, the better), a lock for you bike, a helmet (required if you're under 18), weather appropriate clothing (we ride, rain or shine)...

Meet at 8:30pm.........Ride at 9:30pm From Bloom's General Store (1/2 block East of 3rd and Traction or 2 blocks East of Alameda and 3rd)
$2 tecate's on ice before the ride at the store.
The Kogi bbq truck will be at the Japanese American Museum at 1st and Alameda before the ride.
This month we're going to parts of East L.A. we haven't been yet on a bike....virtually all flat. No meatheads allowed.

maybe next week if the rain doesn't catch us.) This month we are riding to Beverly Hills to Westwood to K-
town back to Little Tokyo with a few stops in between. Overall, the route is about 26 miles.
Bring extra inner tubes and tires, lights, and money for food and beer.
