The Cold war you travel to the old Nike Missile base and then up to the hub and then back to the start. Fire roads the whole way, the decent to the base has a few uphill sections and then you'll have to climb for the majority of the way back up to the hub. It'll be all recess and none of that damn book-learnin' that your teachers forced upon you. Keep it chill and respect the other ridazz and the cars, or you will be sent to detention.
A higher mileage ride with higher education, RW&G will be run at a medium pace with minimal hills; no hustlin', but no slouchin' either. If this catches on, there's no end to the number of possible routes that can be run; I've got some cool ideas for the future...but let's stick to the present f...

Bring the essentials: spare tubes, tools, lights (we don't wanna get stopped again), money, fun activities/games (eg. music, soccer, dodgeball, frisby, bubbles, chalk), condoms (just incase) and a good positive attitude.

Freedom ride - black kids on bikes

_1248496329.jpg) Once a month black cyclists are getting together to meet, get to know one another and ride. The ride is medium paced, 10 -15 miles with a couple stops for beverages and to let everyone catch up.
We encourage all levels to come out but you should be ready to push your self if you haven\'t been on a bike in a while. No one will be left behind.
We are meeting at the VONS parking lot at Pico and Fairfax.
Meet up at noon. Ride out at 1pm.

MacArthur Park Bike / Skateboard Expo (2230 W 6th St Los Angeles)

This event is hosted by the MacArthur Park Community Center, Councilman Ed Reyes and LAPD. There will be bike and skate board shops, bike organization booths, mobile skateboard ramps and rails, live rock bands, fixie competition and food. There will also be a raffle of new bikes and skateboards, the money will be given to MacArthur Park to pay for the year round youth programs. The Cut Chemist Climb

Mid-City/Hollywood ride to the Getty Center for a FREE show by DJ Cut Chemist (Ozomatli, Jurassic 5). Meet at Pan Pacific Park, on the north side (Beverly Blvd). Be ready to roll out at 4:00pm.
We will make a stop at Veteran's Park behind the Federal Building to meet up any Westsidazz who don't want to come all the way out to Pan Pacific.
Bike parking is available at the Getty. Bring a nice long chain lock if you have one.
