i used to dick around on my skateboard in between classes and one day matt maceda came skidding to a stop infront of me.
i looked at him and i was like, man look at this asshole with his fixed gear bike.
fast forward 2 years and i am riding bikes with the guy.

Studies have shown that's it's generally difficult for people of different races to identify each other, regardless of race. I hope that makes some sense . . .
In other words, there is actually some truth to the statement, "We all look alike".

I still think it's funny that I'm confused with a multitude of different races depending on if I'm talking on the phone to someone who's never met me in person, or if I'm wearing sunglasses and a bandanna.
One minute they think I'm a white-guy over the phone, then when I'm seen they'll think I'm black.
Then when I remove headgear and glasses, "Are you Philipino"?
Then I tell them I'm Malaysian, then they're all like "Tha fuck is that?!?"
From now on, I'll just say I materialized out of thin air.

I can tell different types of Asians apart. Some look Korean. Some are obviously Japanese.
Chinese are easy to differentiate. The ones I can't always guess correctly are Philippians and Malaysians.
Not that any of that shit matters.... but people get offended when you assume they are one race instead of another.
I understand.
I'm from California and if ever anyone mistook me for a New Yorker or a Texan I would take offense.
Its all just the same Eastside vs Westside drama only racial instead of geographical.

I tried it once trying to impress my filipino gf's mom. Things got easier after that... but it just didn't work out.

Smells horrible, tastes good, but leaves a dry taste in your mouth if you've gone through a whole shell.

i ate balut thanks to a peer pressure dare because i'm a weak soul and it's as nasty as it looks. you can def taste the feathers, the crunch of some other body parts and the liquid is supposed to be a super delicacy. it's straight up gross.

Philipino, Korean, Indonesian, Malaysian, we've all got to deal with the fact that there's always going to be that shithead that will get beat-down for asking, "So, are you Chinese or Japanese?"

Sometimes they're fairly soft and sometimes they're a little crunchier than normal. The crunch factor isn't very high, though. If you have a crunch scale or a crunchometer you could gauge and adjust the crunchiness of your balut as desired.
