Warning: Be very afraid!
This is the bar hop your mother warned you about. Poolhalls, dive bars, bowling alleys, clubs-bands, and tattoo parlors. Bring your bike and bring your attitude. Everyone is encourgaged to attend, however we will ride on the average 5-7 miles a night total. Custom bikes are encouraged.
We meet on the last Wednesday night of each month, in front of 7-eleven on Tujunga and Magnolia 11340 MAGNOLIA BLVD
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA 91601-3705
Please bring your own shot glasses, as we will have a drink kickoff before the ride.

For this first ride, we are gonna hit up 3 bars, 2 of which should have some bands playing (these bars are free to get in to - not bad!)
Also remember to bring your shot glasses, as we will take some shots before the ride!!

We are hitting up three bars fo sure, or until we run out of money. Since we are meeting up at 7-11, it would be a good idea to stock up on some booze there also.

thanks to all who came out, we had a great time! We did finish that bottle of vodka! I was so buzzed even before the ride started!
We had over 30 riders, everything from bmx's, choppers, fixies, road, vintage, cruisers, customs, and even one tandem!
It was a good balance of drinking, riding, and socializing. You know its a good ride when everyone stays an hour after the ride ends, still drinking and hanging out (on a wednesday nite!)

I was feeling the cold at the beginning of the ride, but feeling no pain at the end!
I was blown away that we met two girls, at different times on our ride, and both of them didn't own a car and got around by bike. And these girls found our ride just by chance. Twilight Zone stuff fo' sho'!!!

Brian and everyone else - Great ride! We were kicking it old school CruzWithUs Stylee.
Going to bed drunk at 2:30am and having to wake up at 5:30 to goto work was a little on the painful side and I will never do it again, until the next Barchopz ride. Vodka shots is good and I propose we make it a Barchopz tradition. We all chip in and buy a bottle before the ride and do shots at each stop, making sure there are a lot of stops.

I have around 7 or 8 bars in mind that we can ride to, pretty much all within 15-20 minutes away from the start. It depends on what bars we decide to go to and how much money everyone has.
In any case, feel free to call me if you cant make it by 9:00pm, and just meet us at the first bar: (eight one eight) 9one9- thirtysix, thirtyseven

12:54 am according to the schedule.
It's the end of line, North Hollywood station, get out, head west, then left on Tujunga. Look for the 7/11 on your left. Tujunga and Magnolia.

I would say Los Angelopes slow... plenty of cruisers and choppers on the ride so they go sloooooooooooow. Bumblebee? I wanna see!!!
This is all within 6-8 miles maybe and goes as long. Like... we had to leave the strip joint around 2pm cause of last call late. Oh yeah!!
But since it's still in the Noho/Studio City/Van Nuys area... you're not too far from the start. I don't know tomorrows route but a real good time.

Hey Jeff... are you going to go? I dropped my battery while loading it onto my car on Sunday. I don't know if it's ok. It usually takes 14-16 hous to charge but now it's been two days and the led indicator is still red. If it charges by the end of the day I'll bring my system but from the looks of it... maybe not.

Hmm... that would end $1 PBR's. It sure sucks the day after if you have work. Barchopz has been working so far on Wed. Saturdays would be tough cause of a lot of good stuff happening. You've got your ride on the last Saturdays... C.R.A.N.K Mob on the third. That leaves the 1st and 2nd Saturdays. 1st Saturday is Los Angelopes that starts early... like 2-3pm but goes well into the night. 2nd Saturdays is the Spoke(n) Art ride which starts at 6:30 in Highland Park. I know I'm missing another ride. I can't think right now. I'm sure you can do 1st saturdays with the same start time? Keeping the early start gives more time to hang at the bars and then enough time for the strip club and to avoid the tipsy people jumping in their cars after 2am.

Thank you everyone who came out! This was probably the largest Barchopz so far, around 80+. It was a different kind of night, a "PARKINGLOT CHOPZ" as Randy put it. Most everyone just chilled outside the bars, but still drinking. Those who sang kareoke had the most fun.
They ran out of $1.00 beers, but at least pitchers were $3 bucks. I was pretty toasted, but the Que Ricos tacos at the end helped out a lot.
I should have all of the T-shirts by next month! Please just post what size and how many, so everyone gets theirs.

On another note, it looks like we are gonna skip our home bar, the Tonga Hut, this month. Ive talked with the owner this week, and they are fed up with the graffiti/tagging in the bathrooms, the drunkenesss horseplay (getting on other people’s back) and the drinking of your own beer outside the bar. Please, whatever you guys do, do not piss off Eddie, the bouncer, he is able and willing to crush anyone he does not like. Last month we visited the Foxfire karaoke bar, which, for the same reasons, do not welcome us back.
Barchopz has become an EXTREMELY FUN RIDE, full of craziness, drunkeness and partying, but we must not get to the point where its out of control at the bars which they will just kick us out and not welcome us back again.

Thanks for passing the message on to Speedy Brian. He called me back right away. We spoke about some of our issues with hosting the Ridazz at our bar and I thought we would see dramatic changes but as of last night's visit things have gotten worse. Unfortunately some people have to ruin a good thing for everyone else.
Please let the club know that we can no longer allow them entry into Tonga Hut nor will they be allowed to loiter in the parking lot or on the street in front.

Not sure what happened either. I stopped at Tonga Hut briefly after Que Ricos and left around 1:40. It was chill, with only around 15 peeps left. There were 10 peeps outside in the front area, but it looked like they were ready to roll.
I thought it was a good ride, the new bar, new riders, and new route. My plan was not to even go to the Tonga Hut, to skip it this month, and let things cool down for the owners. 3/4 of the group left the group and left for the bar when we were riding to QR.
Does any know happened?

Sucks....
She did mention the loitering part. Maybe everything was well inside but you guys can't see what's going on outside. Just one little thing is going to trigger the bouncer to pass the message on to the owner. I wasn't there it does suck. Barchopz is such a great ride and I wish the owners can ride w/ us and see how great it is.

Yo I wasn't there but after talking verbally to some of those that were it wouldn't surprise me if the Hut just wanted us gone cuz all we do is drink their cheapest beer and take over. Typically that tiny spot isnt staffed well enough for us, and when we drain their taps it probably doesn't help their ensuing weekend crowd, I really doubt it was cuz we were rowdy

"Just so you're aware these are the issues we had and they're MAJOR issues because we could lose our license and/or get steep fines:
Sneaking in alchol in backpacks (the 1st time it was beer, last night it was beer & tequila!)
Sneaking in minors
Entering the premises already intoxicated
Other stuff like playing chicken and spilling beer all over the place and graffiti in the restrooms
Luckily our door guys and bartenders kick ass and caught all of this but it was just too much to handle. Well, thanks again for your help.

fuck, I'm on that street where it splits into Lankershim and that other street on the right, the light was red, thought it was clear, so I went, I should've looked back first before I proceeded, but instead got pulled over by the cops and gave me a ticket for running a red light, have to appear to court next month, luckily on the ticket it mentioned being a pedestrian ticket, so I'm guessing its the same ticket one gets when J walking, FUCK, if only we had caught the last train back to NoHo.

Thanks for all who came out last night. Insane. What was up with the drama? We somehow missed the last train, and ended up taking Cahuenga pass. Damn, Cahuenga and my burrito bike is a bad mix!
Overall, it was a great turnout, and was happy to see everyone again. Props to the gentleman riding the pennyfarthing up the sunset hills, it was no prob for him! We definitelately do hollywood again, but in the summer.

It looks like it's going to rain tomorrow. Will the ride still be on and will it be a good idea to be riding around the rain with liquid courage flowing in our systems? The following day is said to be clear and quite nice but you can't ever trust these weather forecasters.

Would someone kindly confirm that this ride is actually happening this Wednesday? It's not listed on the bike calendar and basically, I'd like to be sure that I'm not bringing a truckload of people on a wasted trip. I plan on bringing with me, two girls, one guy and his mom (visiting from out of town) who are all looking forward to some riding, drinking and other f420un.

That was a fun night last night, what happen to the bars? BARCHOPZ. There was a few things that bummed me out last night. When we went to 7-11 on Victory, there were two guys I saw stealing. One guy stuff a beer in his back pack and the other guy stuffed back pack of chips or nuts in his back pack I said to him that it was cool and left it as that. A friend saw some steal on MNR at the liquor store in Burbank. Stealing does not represent me, BarChopz, MNR or Midnight Ridazz, so leave it at home or where ever you come from. Should I be the bad guy next time and point you out to everyone? We need to keep these rides strong and correct so they don't die out.

We were riding to Que Rico's, they said he ran a red. He didn't. Searched him, asked him all the stereotypical questions you ask a black man. They didn't search me (thank goodness), didn't ask me any questions other than if I was with John. In the end, John got a fix it ticket for not having a light, when he had his light on him the whole time and even showed it to the cop.

They kept asking him how drunk he was. We both denied how much he had to drink. Then right after, John freaked out and goes, "Where's my mask?!?!" I had to look over and tell him it's on his head. In front of the cops. They warned us about getting a BUI. However, when I asked about them the cop said, "yeah, we don't know much about it, but it's serious."
