Oh Man!!! This is gonna be probably the funnest ride of all time. There are so many great characters in his movies...
Also, a costume contest with some surprisingly cool shit!
"They're never gonna catch me... Cuz I'm fuckin' innocent!"
so I was thinking I could be that girl in The Life AQUATIC that never has a shirt on...I'd take the cake in costume contest.hands down. But I have no guts. This ride is going to be amazing.
Dear Max, I am sorry to say that I have secretly found out that Mr. Blume is having an affair with Miss Cross. My first suspicions came when I saw them Frenching in front of our house. And then I knew for sure when they went skinny dipping in Mr. Blume's swimming pool, giving each other handjobs while you were taking a nap on the front porch.
Bigbikedan, doesn't check these boards to often, but I will relay the message. I'm sure that will be great with him. Just have the Ipod fully charged, and if you have a protector case for it, have it in it. And it is an Ipod?, If it is a different mp3 player, have the cord for it.
Set up the playlist instead of just going through each score.
I got my son to give me back my Team Zissou cap before I told him the theme of this ride (what a chump).
His response/solution was to play some Elliot Smith and turned his shaggy rag mop head into a moderately butchered 1/2" buzz. All he needs now is Mordecai and a few bloody bandages, and he's set.
Thanks, Dan, I'd been trying to get him to get a haircut for months!
I have only seen the Royal Tenebaums, so if I can get my mustache right by Saturday I'm thinking of Royal Tenebaum himself. I have the glasses and maybe my clothes like his, might still fit me. If not I'm going to see about Eli Cash, if it is not to hot to wear all that cowboy garb. I think my beard is getting pretty grey, So I could be that character bill murray played in Life Aquatic.
I think it would be best to dress like on of those characters in the back painting from the royal tenebaums. If I could get one of those mask. That painting had me crackin up, the first time I saw that movie.
But I'm going to try to check out the other movies this week.
ridazz, i wont be able to make it to this ride (which will be one hell of a great ride) but brassknuckle and leetard have joined together to create an awesome route! so somebody take a lot of pics for me!
We just wanted to say thank you to everyone that helped out with the ride last night. Sexy for getting on the mic, Big Bike Dan for the tunes, and Phillip for bringing out the tall bike jousting and helping me weld the trophys. Also, we need to thank the fine folks at Athena Cycles and H&S Bicycles. Both of these shops generously donated a ton of bike parts to me to try to figure out how to make trophys for the costume contest, and Athena Cycles donated their parking lot for the bonfire, costume contest and tall bike jousting. And finally thank you to everyone up front who helped keep the pace down so the ride could stay together. We hope you all had fun.
What a great ride! Great job Dan and Lee. Thanks for all the others that helped out. Great theme and love the participation. Thanks for such a great time! Que Ricos was yummy... this time I learned to race w/ the front pack to get in line early.
Thanks to those who organized this ride. It was the funnest thing I've done this year. I can't wait for the next ride. I also want to thank H&S bike shop in Burbank for pointing me in this direction.
The tall bike jousting and fire jumping was fun as hell.
I also liked the Campus stop and turning the 7-11 parking lot into a bar.
Thanks everyone. I was also pretty proud of myself for being able to stay in front 90% of the time on a single speed 20" bmx bike.
Awesome ride, many thanks, to Lee and Dan especially. Hope all the park going, statue climbers made it home without a problem. Cahuenga can be a cruel mistress.
There was some crazy shit going down on the 101 as I rode back. At least 10 cop cars and about the same firetrucks and other misc rescue vehicles. ??
LAPD officer killed in 101 crash
Daily News wire services
Article Last Updated: 07/29/2007 09:35:36 AM PDT
A Los Angeles police officer was killed this morning after he crashed his motorcycle on the Hollywood Freeway, authorities said.
The officer, whose name has not been released, was on his way to work when he hit a disabled vehicle on the southbound 101 at Highland Avenue about 3:30 a.m. and was thrown from his motorcycle, said Alex Delgadillo, a California Highway Patrol spokesman.
Initially, a vehicle had crashed into the center divider. Chain-reaction crashes occurred when other vehicles, including the officer's, tried to avoid the disabled vehicle, Delgadillo said.
but fuck yeah that was an awesome ride! Thanks to everybody who made it happen. My first midnight ride (I was the guy from the painting, btw)...everything i was hoping for an more. The 7/11 stop was hilarious, that lady in her car WOULD NOT leave - I really think she was calling the cops at one point.
Yeah everybody! I'm glad everyone had a good time. Makes all the hours of planning worth it!
Seriously.
Thanks: Dan, Dan, Sexy, Phillip, Athena, and all the Ridazz.
