Okay, so I already am aware of the two distinct, clusters of ridazz-stables in the Basin.
Westsidazz appears to be everyone living within 10 miles of open-water.
Eastsidazz seem to be those that live to the Northeast of LA.
And then those that live behind those dirtmounds northwest of LA, are apparently, "Fluffers" or "Fluffed", or just plain, "Ecstatic".
I might've made that corny map awhile ago, but I'll go at this topic a different way.
-Which "side" do you belong to?
-Which "side" do you actually identify with"
-Which "side" do you think, "brings it".
And for my amusement, what "side" do y'all consider those living outside of the Basin to be?
Don't take this too seriously, it's 3:30 AM/PST, and raspberry iced tea is coursing through my injection lines.

The South side is the under-appreciated and over-looked side in my opinion.
I'm a West sider but really don't consider the E/W thing because this community has really grown into a very cool family without borders or sides. For instance, the Den dinners on the West Side have really brought us closer (off the bikes) with the East side people. They've even hosted a dinner now. And West Siders are often found on the East side too.
So, i won't choose sides. I still have that mental barrier that the Valley is a little (very little) different because its over the hill, but really i've been on a bunch of Valley rides and i always see a bunch of the LA Side peeps showing up to support those rides too.
Now, outside the strata? Like PC dubbed: Bentstriderside.

Anyhoo... grew up on the westside, but fell in love w/ the eastside (and still am!!) I "identify" with the westside and have lots and lots of fun and <3 for westsidazz. There is a special place in my heart for the valley (fluffaville) where I did the majority of my 1st rides .... and NELA ROCKS... obvs. I have not done many southside rides. 1 to be exact, but some of the most awesome ridazz come from there so I can't hate on it AT ALL. Sooooo ALL L.A.!
Bents: maybe we can plan a ride from L.A. to your part of the world. Is that possible?

Honestly, I've come to consider myself the "Pony-Express" rider of the group.
Seeing as how I make appearances down there on the Westside and other, far-off places on an in-frequent basis.
Hell, with all the desert-dirt and grit up on my bike, the damn thing almost sounds like a galloping horse.

It would probably be an all-day occassion.
But, I could probably organize a camp-out at my stepdads place.
Along with a celebratory BBQ with all the Teal'cBurgers and Jaffa-cake one could stomach!!!
But, seriously, they're holding this Tri-City Bike tour up here on the 17th of May.
I'll find more details about it, but it would be cool if a few, brave ridazz showed up and represented something that most, desert-dwellers have never heard of.
Or, possibly thought they escaped from!!!!

The Long Beach Cartel has been hitting the streets with the uncut product since the 1960's. Only recently has LBC branched out to bicycles. It's in it's fourth year of maintaining and expanding it's power north, south and east. The current roll has been in part to mediate between any warring factions in it's controlling area. The latest achievement in this area has been to quail a three year war between The SMUT Pedalers and the R.P.M Junkeyzz.
I seem to have been roped into being the spokesman for LBC and in control of the bicycle division. Trust me, it's a full time job trying to get them to put down their pipes and get on a bike.
Well that's all for now, and thanks for asking.

I believe it is a pay-event, but then again a hijacking could be do-able.
I mean, with all the Lance-wannabes and furrow-brows up here, I'm pretty sure most of the regular cyclists in a race like this could be overtaken.
As for security, probably just a bunch of "hall-monitors".
Anywho, it would just be priceless to see the looks on all the faces up here when they see fixed-gears and tall-bikes swarming from out-of-nowhere.

-The Valley doesn't seem weak in any regards.
I'm guessing it's just the fact that many ridazz actually have to converge on that one point to make it balloon in size.
OTOH, I see no threat from Fluffers at all.
They seem to be a particularly, tolerable species that could be easily bargained with.
The species I typically have trouble with are the "Bro-sef's".
They're the ones who drive big-ass toys their mommy or daddy bought them, and dress up like Fred Durst.

Alright, that one nearly killed me right there.
Sad part is that my younger brother has followed this type of trend.
Driving extremely fast, then crying when their F-350 w/boggers and the 8"lift gets scratched by road grit.
Then it's even funnier when they get toys and toy haulers(the fuck they get the money for that?) and do the same said speed, then end up looking as bad as my truckload of Top Ramen in October.

A little accident that occurred in October that has sort of left me, "not-driving" a bigrig for the last, few months.
Truck rolled after I dozed off, then off the road I went.
Essentially, the job sort of grew on me and I'm doing everything in my power to get back into it.
Luckily, that has become a possibility as of a few weeks ago.
Got my doubles/triples endorsements tacked onto my license.
Now, I'm able to get some time in with some of the local, powder/rock haulers.
I want to get out there and start scouting again!!!

Was it really Top Ramen? Awezum. I'm glad you're not dead.
In any case, I nominate "bentstrider" for Rider of the [Week, Month].
This MF is alway regaling us with crazy ass stories of big rigs and high desert at umpteen o'clock. Honestly I have weird ass truck driving fantasies now where BS trucks around Top Ramen, a couple crazy bikes, and other foodstuffs in chase of the truth about Midnight Ridazz. He's always coming up with off kilter interesting questions about Ridazz like this thread. So yeah - Rider of the [unit of time] - BentStrider.
Now I sleep. Also, best side = Westside, bow down!

Thanx dude.
Like I've said before, if it wasn't for running into some "unbeknownst-to-me-at-the-time" Westsidazz at Ghost Ride The Strip Deuce, I would've probably lost all motivation for truckin' across the country.
I had a good thing going, so far all y'all, and myself, I've made it a mission to get myself back into the driver's seat of a rig, by this Summer.
I actually want to get the chance to go back to Atlanta, GA.
They actually had quite a bit of "Ridazz-like" activity down there.
Perhaps I could become the diplomat, again.
