We should plan a Lakers run in celebration of their reaching the NBA finals this year to face their longtime rivals, the Boston Celtics. Anyone up for it?
so let's get it organized... even if it's just laps around the staples center. definitely bring tvs and radios (stu lantz is the shit) i'll have my crew ready (L.A. Bogans Social Club)
yeah, i heard about that! used to be able to watch games down at the staples center... but i'm sure crowd control/riots might stop them from doing that again....i am still researching a bit to see if maybe they will do something special for the finals....
i'm sure we could rig something up to broadcast it right there... :)
as a solid back up though, we could find a bar that is near the staples center that is playing the game and we can do VICTORY LAPS after the game!!!
Fans are invited to watch the Lakers' first two road games of the West finals -- Game 3 on Sunday and Game 4 on Tuesday -- on the scoreboard inside Staples Center.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for children ages 3 to 13, and are available today at 10 a.m. at the Staples Center box office, Ticketmaster outlets and ticketmaster.com. Proceeds will be donated to the Lakers Youth Foundation.
yea i was aware of the away games..... fans are able to watch them inside the staples........
as for a bar....the edison bar on 2nd and hill (on an alley) have 35 cents martinis....yes as in a quarter and a dime from 5-7 on thursdays....what a coincidence.....plus they broadcast laker games!
put it like this....you can get crunked with a 1 dolla!!!!!!!
I'm down to do a ride around staples on this bad boy. I have a ticket to Tuesday's game (yay for me) but I say we should mob it on game 4. Where do we meet? At staples?
Ya know, I never knew where Basketball Jones came from or saw the whole video before. I just remember a clip being played in the background of the movie Being There. A true classic film if you've never seen it.
Oh, and good game last night. Not outstanding on either side but still fun to watch. I'm guessing it will be over on Game sicks.
i always thought it was that game that is well 'scripted' so that you have to watch the very last few minutes of the game to see who's going to win and how conveniently the other team screws up just enough to extend the series so the Networks, teams, Venues, etc. make more $$$.
