Yikes! What happened?
I'm assuming it was more then another adjusting to clipless pedals incident this time.
I Hope you are relatively okay considering, and may your recovery be swift.

Psh... internet anonymity is weaksauce.
For example, click on sexy's profile. You get a picture of a fucking pancake. Why? Because sexy is the weakest sauce of all.
Back on topic: Nice road rash! Ouchy!

These were the result of going mountain biking with Paul on Christmas. Richie took that picture the day after bike porn. They're fading now...

Is it right to assume that most scraps are not that serious? seems i suffer from a bacterial infection that set in my left side of my head, at the chupa event, when i came down on my "chin", spent all day today at the docs, cat scan shows nothing, vicodan is my best friend now, man what am i going to do? im in first gear now, and that sucks. i was wondering why i kept coughing after taking a hit.

Eddie,
Everyone needs to take care of themselves immediately after a crash or fall. The road carries all kinds of Staf viruses and bacteria. There is a guy in my training group who fell off his bike 3 years ago and didn't clean and disinfect his road rash immediately and got a Staf infection. 2.5 years later and 5 Surgeries (all because of the infection) he is just now getting back on his bike. Its no Fucking joke. Even a small scrape can pick up the bacteria. Clean it immediately and then carry on with the ride.
Good luck.

I got this beauty riding to my job Monday morning in the fog.
On the Santa Ana River bike trail, there is a wood foot bridge that must be crossed. Turning onto this bridge, which was slick with foggy dew, my bike went out from under me and I came down hard with my foot clipped in. The bike frame crunched my foot.
Yeah, I rode the rest of the way to work and all the way home (24 miles each way) that night.
I'm riding in tomorrow too. Hope it's not too foggy, or I'm walking accross that bridge.
When the streets are wet, look out for anything that may be smooth, like painted lines, manhole covers and wood sufraces-they will be too slick to brake or turn on!

BEST INVENTION IDEA EVER
Clipless pedals that EJECT YO FEETS whenever the bike tilts beyond a certain angle. That woulda saved my knees...
ephemerae12.3.08 - 9:21 pm

clipless pedals are supposed to do that! depending on how tight you have them.

you can buy multi-directional SPD clips (the part that attaches to your shoe.) whereas the most common clips require you to turn your foot to get out, the multi-directional clips will pop out if you pull up with your heel. might be a good idea for riding in the rain.
fat tires help too. you might not be as fast, but you are less likely to fall.
unless you're Eddie.

I rode to work today, and it was tough getting my sore ankle into the spd clips.
I'm switching them out tonight for my "feet-belt" pedals (toe clips and straps).
