If you guys ever seriously want to do a ride to get some pizza all the way out in Arcadia, let me know. I know this great place called Zelo's and they make corn crust pizza with gourmet toppings. It's real good. Very veggie friendly too.

"I hear they have some pretty wild pizza in japan, like creamed corn and shit!!!"

Is the creamed corn added separately from the shit, or does the cook just eat corn the night before and then add them both at the same time?

The only relevance of this thread to bikes seems to be that:

1. Pizza Pie is wheel shaped.
2. Pier Pressure always stops at Abbot's Pizza on Abbot Kinney.

That being said, the best NY style Pizza i've had in LA is still Mulberry Street in BH, on Canon or Beverly. Both are owned by actress Cathy Moriarty (she rode a bike as a kid).

Pizza ride, please. Pizza ride, please. Pizza ride, please.

And in order for it to keep with the theme of the thread, it should be to a place with really whacky pizzas. With creamed corn. And shit.

P.S. Here is a description of a pizza in Japan: toppings include cod roe, squid, onions, green peppers, mayonnaise, cheese.

Mmmm. Mayonnaise pizza.

not all pier pressures have stopped for pizza, but it is becoming a tradition. Anyone who likes chicago style deep dish, should get a pie at Masa of Echo Park. The traditional has sausage and mushroom, is $20 and can feed 4 hungry people. Only thing is, it takes an hour to get your pizza because they make it to order, so call ahead if you are getting take out.

I would be interested in finding a pizza joint in the west side that has a deep crust. Fired in a brick oven would be bonus points. If the oven is fed by wood, big bonus points!

The nastiest pizza I ever had, bar none, was in Glasgow, Scotland. I was eating fish and chips quite a bit at the time, so I thought I would change it up when I was in this fish and chips / pizza joint. I ordered a pizza, the guy took it out of the freezer, and then out of the wrapper. And slapped that baby into the frier! First and last pizza I'll ever have deep fried!

Best pizza I've ever had was the BBQ-Chicken-topped pizza over at John Incredible off of Bear Valley.
But, almost other day, It's all about $5 Hot'N'Ready's!!
No matter what the general opinion is, two boxes of those, and a nice beverage make my night.

pizza is like sex, it's good even when it is bad.

Well not really. some sex will get you sick.

Some Pizza has gotten me sick. Take Mulberry. (on Canon in Beverly Hills) Myself and many other co-workers have all gotten food poisoning there. If you are going to eat mulberry, make sure it is fresh, they have a box with whole specialty pizza in it, that they heat up if ordered by the slice. Don't do it, I think that box is a incubator for bacteria. On a brighter note, Mulberry's eggplant Parmesan, makes for a hardy lunch, and has never gotten me sick.

I have eaten lots of pizza in New York, and I got to say none of it really impressed me. We all got our neighborhood favorites. Some may like those in the neighborhood, and others may not. We have a few in my hood that some love, other think are just bearable.

Either way, enjoy and Bone Appetit!

p.s.
my all time favorite is PIZZAWOLF

West Coast Fav: Abbots Pizza in Venice
East Coast on the West Coast Fav: Casa Bianca in Eagle Rock
Hornorable Mention: Hard Times Pizza in Silverlake, and Pizza Paul in Hel/Mel.

Best Pizza I have had in North America: Totonnos in Coney Island NYC. This Pizza is simply mind blowing!

Crispy crust, delicate slices of fresh Mozzarella melted to soft gooeyness without getting burnt or rubbery. Perfect sauce and super thin crust, crispy enough on the bottom that it isn't limp. Simple, perfect, and delicious. I took a break from my poor excuse for vegetarianisim and sampled a pie with sausage ... also amazing.

If you are going to NYC this place is a must. If you arn't going to NYC the closest thing I have had around here is Casa Bianca but you gotta get there early because the line can be brutal.

In Thailand, Pizza Hut is a sit down restaurant with a salad bar, beer, soda by the pitcher, servers, pasta dishes, and smoothies. You can also order a pizza with cheese and hot dog stuffed crust. Its literally one incredibly long hot dog that goes around the entire crust of the pizza. mmmmm... appetizing?

@dolamyte

-The adjacent WallyWorld was still there back when the Shakeys was in operation.
And before the WallyWorld, a drive-in theater used to sit on that exact spot.

Dak,

Go-Karts? Did Malibu Grand Prix ever serve beer or Pizza? I still have my Drivers license from there.

And also fun is the slick tracks with all your friends on the track at the same time. The one down off the 405, just south of the 110 is a blast. The one at the new(er) Malibu speedzone is pretty good too.

Just don't know about the beer.

There are only Speedzones now. They're SO MUCH FUN. There is a bar at the Speedzone off the 10, near Covina...

Um, Bullwinkle's was off the 10, past the 210... past pomona, i believe. They totally served beer.

Never went in there, but always remember seeing it directly before that Montclair Plaza.

Does this debate ring any bells with anyone here?

Sally's or Pepe's?

For me, its Sally's.

Don't melt the b(ike)bq!!!

But srsly, I've had plenty of excellent cheeseless non-vegan and vegan pizza. As much as I love cheese I love pizza more whether it has cheese or not.

Man it's obvious that many here haven't had a wood-fired brick oven pizza. Once you try wood, ain't nothing else good! Or something like that. I haven't tried the place next to where Nicole works, but I bet that might be close to what I'm talking about.

Fuzzy. Nothing better the grilled vegetable pizza, if made right. No cheese need, that is the bomb. I first experienced it on this short lived pizza point on Melrose owned by Suhki and made by this east coast rocker guy. Man that guy could cook.

Doing pizza is like doing your lover. You may think it is the best thing going and your best friend, may be like "i don't know what you see in that:" or they may want a piece too. In this instances sometimes it better if they keep their hands off your slice.

Sexy, I can't believe you and your friends have gotten sick from pizza in the glass box. I've had slices from their a ton of times and have never had any problems (which is why i rec'd it obviously). Maybe my number is coming up!

Sally's is the oldest Brick Oven Apizza place in Connecticut. Pepe's was number 2. And Brick oven rocks!

I hope that number never comes up for you. Food poisoning is no fun,
Srsly...............have them make you a whole fresh pizza and give the extra slices away or take it home. The extra $15.00 buck is worth not getting sick Srsly

Random pizza goodness is:

*Joe Peeps - Chicago Style in NoHo. I drool just thinking about it. dammit, now my keyboard is wet.
*Winners Pizza - In Agoura Hills, the one on Reyes Adobe. There are 2, but this is the good one, Jersey style pizza, owned by the sweetest straight-from-jersey couple too. I was going there before they served beer. Then my coworkers & I all had to go there even more when that happened. Best thing about working in Agoura Hills, for sure.
*No Anchovies - Tucson, AZ. University Dr @ U of A. OMG this pizza is the shit. ONE SLICE = 2 meals. Soooo much goodness. And that's not cuz I have a little stomach, cuz I don't. Feed me more.

Ok, now here's what I want to know:
1. Where can a pizza-craving girl get a slice at 3 a.m.?
2. Where does the little pizza boy live? haha. Boy is gonna get eaten.

@krysta

Back in my Swift days, I frequented this one that was two miles from the terminal in El Paso!!

It's sort of like Johns Incredible as far as the pizza goes.

Only thing different is the fact that the Johns Incredible up here has DDR, that Area-51 "Shoot 'em up" game, bumper-cars upstairs, and that game where you roll the ball up that ramp and it goes into holes for prize-tickets!!!

@ krysta

JOE PEEPS is the shiznit! Their huge, sloppy slices with two layers of each toppings are the be-all end-all of PIZZA!

IF EVER THERE IS A VALLEY PIZZA RIDE, IT MUST GO TO JOE PEEPS!

@speedybrian2000

I used to work at Damianos. They keep the lights dim so you dont see the giant cockroaches or the holes in the floor. Most of the employees are on drugs. The night manager over-rings credit cards and pockets the cash. You have a 1 in 4 chance that your food will have spit in it.

Don't eat there. And if you do, check your bank statement afterwards.
