I Want to do it!!!

So, in pertaining to my EZ-1 recumbent and the decision to convert it to taking in a larger wheel diameter, I'm going to.

I came to this decision after speaking with some long-distance, recumbent riders and their choice of wheel-sizes.
They said that while 20" is good for in-town, the 26"s and above make long-distance less of a pain due to longer, maintained momentum along with higher load capacity.

So, rather than try to save up money and buy a recumbent that's already been built with an accommodating rear-triangle, I would much rather put to use what I have now.

So far, the only obstacles I see right now are welding and finding a front fork for a 20" front-wheel with a long-ass, steer-tube.

Certain welding places up here give me either "not equipped" for that, or "liability risks".
So, I'm willing to gather all materials and team up with all the freak-bike builders for this project.

I mean, if y'all could pull of a three-framed, monolith like Kabuki-Sky, then enlarging the rear-triangle of a recumbent shouldn't be that daunting of a task.

Currently it's in the shed collecting dust.

I bought this thing wanting to get the full amount of use from it, not hand it over and feel as though I've lost again.

This will be the only way to bring life back into this wonderful machine, IMPLANTS!!!

wouldn't it be easier to weld a 700c triangle to what you got?

That was one of the ideas that popped into my head.

Essentially, I'm now thinking it would be easier to hack off the 20" square and weld either a 26" or 700c triangle in its place.

Then add some sort of brace bar then that problem will be rectified.

After that, I'll just have to seek out a 20" front fork with an 11-12" steer-tube and we're on Easy Street!!!
