Carpool. Train. etc.
This is a last minute Idea. I also didn't realize Sins N Sprockets is Friday.
If this idea doesn't work out this week, we should at least plan to do it soon. Anyone down for it?

Awesome! Put your contact info down if you want. And if you're willing to take a Ridah or two.
I unfortunately will have to take off pretty early from SD @ 2 am to make it back to LAX before 8am Saturday, or else I'm in deep doo-doo. So, If anyone can deal with that schedule I have room for two heads, but only one more bike. joe.borfo@gmail.com

I suggest with fri-nite traffic going to SD we depart early
and I'm out of LB easy access to blue line we could meet at del amo station head out and on the way back I would drop you off of the blue line is not running, or you could drive to my house park and we can depart from there,
I do have a camper on my truck.

Once a month I ride from Glendale to San Diego and then back. If anyone is interested in a fun way to spend 15 hours of your Sunday, let me know. It's about 265 generally flat miles. I'm always looking for some company on the ride - it gets lonely.

If anyone wants to drop off thier ride on thursday nite or friday during the day I can be available to make a bike pick up but only 30 mins away from LB, I only get a hour lunch,
I could go pick up your bikes in my truck and transport them to SD Fri-nite. Just a thought if this helps people get down to LB for an early start on traffic to Electric Warriors.
Also I'm planning on going to the GO COASTAL if anyone wants me to transport thier bike to SD, dannygamboa@gmail.com

Yes props to you SD people. You throw a most awesome ride.
Down a monster hill, a bonfire at the end, and the best part, through a fucking mall. Damn, way to show us Angelenos a good fucking ride.

Great people in San Diego. It was odd at first coming to a bike party and nobody knew me. That changed real quick, as the Electric Warriors are real friendly and personable people.
When we all let them know we came from LA, for the ride, The Crietins pulled out welcome gifts, and made sure we all got one.
The Nutter Buckets are even cooler then their website shows them to be. Who doesn't love a girl in clown make up. I have to say of all the highlights of this ride, they where my favorties, especially the girl banging on the lid that made it sound like we where are a train crossing gate. So much spirit and good cheer.
So many cute girls, and yes they hung out all night, so refreshing. The Electric Warriors not only dress up in cool outfits, they dress their bikes up in ways that would make any hipster blush. Speaking of hipster, there was no attitude from any of these folks. Did I say how nice these kids are.
The Electric Warriors, where not scared to cause a little rukus, while taking back their streets. Taking over an intersection for a few minutes, seemed so natural to them. It was like they where causing confrontation in a way, that nobody could get mad at them for doing so.
The ride was awesome. Route was fantastic. We started out by going around the fountain to let everybody get saddled up and situated, we just road around and around for five minutes, until everybody was good to go. Stopped at the light at the end of Balboa Park, got everybody together and started riding again, the ride would stop at various points to let everybody regroup again. The organizational skills are superb. Like Fuzzy said, riding through the mall (the security guards just smiled as we passed through), then down a crazy fun hill, fun, fun, fun!
Talking to people throughout the ride was so easy. Everybody was in such a good mood, and loved to laugh and enjoy one another.
Then to end the ride at the water and have a huge bondfire was a treat. When a group of Warriors came back from a beer run, everybody was asked if they needed a beer, I mean eveybody, like three times over, what hospitality. San Diego Beer prices??? All I can say is that they are gouging us in LA.
Rev Dak and I recognized a ghost who came out to the bond fire to dance with us, then disapeared. Legendary. The noise maker turned into a percussion pit (aka drum circle) by the fire.
This one shutter bug and her boyfriend kept on checking on us to make sure when we left, that they would escorted back to our cars. Of course, they escorted us back to where we parked when the night ended. When it was time to leave everybody rolled out together.
We where told that we do it right in LA,. We where asked a few times if the ride was good, and how we liked it? To answer that, well I think i just did. And if you didn't get it the first time........AWESOME!...Thank you Electric Warriors, thank you San Diego bike community. I somehow think you don't even realize how cool you all are, and that makes you even that much more cooler.

And how could we almost forget the impromptu circle of death at the gate to hillcrest.
The only one thing that this ride could have possibly benefited from would have been some tunes, but the quality people I met at every turn more than made up for anything missing.
And damn, that hill (read: wall) we rode up to get to the ride (thanks mapquest) probably would have had us lost (we would have been thinking of trying to find another way around after seeing THAT monster) if it hadnt been for several very nice tour guides who swooped out of the blue and showed us the way we probably would have been late for the ride.
