Midnight Madness San Diego

Don't know if any of you are interested, but every year their is a ride in SD called Midnight Madness. It's a huge ride about 2500 riders of all ages.
The actual ride starts at midnight but there is shit that goes on before. The ride is sponsored by the city and you get a police escort. About 1/4 of the riders just crash it and don't pay. Would be really cool to see a bunch of MD here.
I think the plan is for a bunch of the local bike kids are gonna meet at the big fountain at balboa park around 10PM and all ride to the Midnight madness event together. The ride is about 20 easy miles (no hills).
Check out the link and hopefully you guys can make it down.

Its a well organized and permitted MR type of ride with a costume contest with often dope prizes. Crashing it is the way to go unless you get extended with the lights and costume and are looking to win. Just past half way is Point Loma liquor STOP here for fast and easy refreshments, the clerks are super cool and I have never been hassled by the man but still keep an eye open. And if the timing is right just before the end is a strip of bars, if you can make it before last call.

The real fun will be meeting up with the SD bike punk kids before the ride and hang out all night. And riding to SD if we have a good crew. Perfect weather for hanging out and sleeping in a park.

It's not my birthday.
Thanks for the invite Alec, I'm figuring out if my friend wants to come or not after she gets done with work. If she wants to go we will be going to SD "dark age" style. What time are you all planning on heading down, and from what area? I don't even know if I could make it. I've been doing in home work on a trainer, but I usually can only go about 70 miles a day and be done after that. I heard you say its not that hard of a ride down there. I am interested in giving it a try.

So Bigsexxy and I are going down to SD tonight to join you all, what time you all going to be at the fountain? Tommy has my number, I have his and Miss K.K. Kaboom's digits, if they are going to be around you.
So Far, Jon La Har is trying to get a vehicle to get down there for him , Big Bike Dan and User1.
Do the kids want to ride down there with us? Tanya, Dingo, do you want to come down there with us? Call us, when you wake up.
Richie, maybe La Har could transfer your bike for you.
Should we bring camping stuff? Does anybody know where we could set up camp until we are able to drive back home?
The weather for San Diego say 71 F all night, yeaaah whooooo!

here is a thought. Jane, David , Dio and Tanya in Jane's car, with all of there bikes.
Dan and Jon in La Hars car with bikes and trailers.
You take your car and bike and richies bike
or you put your bike in La Har's with Richie's bike, if he can handle all of that. You take the train or bus.
or Richie,
what about the female cub'z or pretty rickie going down?

Yes, you did find the right guy
The ride was really neat. A quick drive down there. The route was really neat. The people, the costumes, and the bikes where great. I saw a conference bike with everybody dressed in Hawaiian theme (must be left over costumes from that last C/NB ride). Tandems with light show and a USA flag, all lit up, carrying a trailer with a generator to power the whole show. Whole crews dressed up in matching theme outfits. A couple with two tricycle recumbent attached to each other like a train with a trailer for their dog as the caboos . Kids on BMX's mouthing off to the cops (my personnel favorite) and connecting with one another. This guy who made a tandem with a rumble seat in the back and really crisp, clean sound system. Te gave me three cards that I will make into spoke cards. (you have to see this card). Alright, just the name will bring a smile to your face, but check out the web site www.outspokin4jesus.com (I like this site).
Then the Cretins came and took us to a party, thanks to Tommy for Fetching us, and taking us to Hillcreast. It was great hang with you all, and special thanks to that kid with the bitchen hair (I think his name is Randy) and Subcommendante Cycle for waiting while I road back to the car to get the keys for the BBD's lock. You guys truly left no rider behind, even when they where just waiting for me. Super cool! Thank you La Har for lending me your bike and your great disposition, and Seth for being Seth.
Go to this event next year, it is truly worth the trip down, If anything, its another excuse to party with our brethren and sistren from down south.
