Need some D/U Locks

Here's the deal: I was hit by a car on my bike just east of Echo Park in front of a bar. The manager of the bar and the valet straight up lied to the cops right in front of me to protect the driver of the car- who was their customer (and then lied in their witness statements later). They laughed and made fun of me as I lay on the sidewalk bleeding. The owner and valet are the ones I want revenge on.
I want to U-Lock the gates shut on a night they are usually busy. Anyone with a U-Lock they'll donate are urged to email me. I might throw in a few bucks or buy you a beer as I need at least 4 or 6 locks. Help out a Rida.
The other option is to do a bike-in in front of the bar one night. These mofos were mean and ruthless that night. I want payback.

Holy smokes man. That sucks to hear. Someone posted on a locks thread that the 99cent cable locks are a pain to take off if they don't have the cable cutters ready. Maybe messing with the existing lock?

Its really sad to hear this that happened to you Eric as well as the story about the cyclist in Beverly Hills (see topic "Beverly Hills: SUV Threat...)
During the Clown Ride, DeKadenzy got hit by a car. He told me that the driver honked and then just ram into him. I was there when the police showed up and they didnt even ask him for his version. Later he told me that the police began to treat him as if it was all his fault.
I've been lucky enough to run into the good police officers when I have had encounters with them while on my bicycle but perhaps that was only because my problems never were Car Vs Bicycle. Maybe they think bicycle riders are all illegal immigrants or something?

yeah i'm ok now, i've only ridden 4 or 5 times since the crash because my knee and wrist couldn't take it. there is a claim pending against her insurance, but she and her 'witnesses' lied to the cops in front of me. the cops actually treated me with suspicion as if i was the one at fault. he barely asked me for my version as well...he didn't ask actually, i had to keep asking him if he was going to ask me what happened and finally i just told him. i put a nasty dent in her fender and she told the cop it was already there. i told him that was a lie and he was like, 'well she said it was already there' like i was making shit up.
the part i might have to sweat is that right after i left (my buddy drove me and my bike home), the cop asked my girl where my brake is. she played dumb and was like, 'brakes?, what do you mean?'. later, the cop called and told me that i was supposed to have a brake, blah blah blah. a brake would have made no difference in this case and i told him so.
i feel kinda sheisty for some reason for pressing the case against her despite the lack of care she displayed. i'm just not one to push what could be seen as a frivilous lawsuit.

This is the traditional part of the thread where somebody advises you not to talk about any of this on the Internet:
Um, dude, you probably shouldn't be talking about any of this on the Interenet.

I would suggest cyclist be the first to call a police officer when this happens. I know you may not want to get them involved, but if they are, it might be best that you are the first one to make the call, or at least one to make a call. It sound as if in these situations, the police where responding to a complaint of the motorist. I don't know if you did call, or not.
Also if something goes down in the way, people been saying the police have been treating them. Don't let it rest, make a complaint at the station, or to their watch commander. LAPD has official complaint forms that you can fill out, at any of the stations. I don't know if you can actually go to the city or district attorney and make a complaint with them. Do you really want to allow public servant to act in a way in which they are not following the letter, or the spirit of the law, to protect you. You where injured by a vehicle, and possibly there was an intent to assault you by vehicle
I would try to sue the motorist and the restaurant if I was in your situation, especially since they lied and tried to get you in trouble for injuring you.
What is a lock on a gate going to do, but inconvenience them for a few moments. Lawsuits will get peoples attention, and send a message they can't do what they did to you. Revenge? May I suggest Justice!

Contact the insurance company; handle your business in a rational manner and use all the resources at your disposal. File a complaint at the police station. Contact a personal injury lawyer. You might even check with the insurance company first. While a rookie cop might not be able to tell that the fender damage was caused by the accident you described, a veteran claims adjuster WILL. When talking to an adjuster try to tell the story like your grandmother would have told it and avoid talk of violent revenge. Tell your story clearly: these folks have pretty good bullshit detectors and if you're not looking for a huge payout, you have a shot at getting hooked up. Also, they're going to need to interview everybody and the people who do this job HATE liars; I'm guessing these idiots from the bar won't be able to keep their stories all straight.
In this case acting like a wingnut and vandalizing the bar will only get you in trouble, especially if the cops have your info. You're going to be on the short list of people to visit if anything happens there.
If you go the personal injury attorney route and they sue the bar? That will be a much bigger pain in the ass come insurance renewal time than fucking with the property a little. Bars have enough trouble getting decent insurance...
So when all is said and done, your best "revenge" is playing by the rules of the game. Even if you get nothing, you'll be making their lives a true pain in the ass.

i've been given plenty of good advice from both the rational and irrational minds here and elsewhere and i appreciate it all greatly. thank you all for commenting. i don't plan to ever set foot on their property, ever. i will stay as far away from this action and BE SOMEWHERE ELSE if/when they get what's coming to them. i will have witnesses (credible ones like my boss) to attest to my presence and i'll never disclose the name or specific location of the aforementioned bar. i'm sure it wasn't the smartest thing to do to post this on the internet but these chunty mofos have never heard of MR. this site is the farthest thing from their awareness, believe me.
thanks again everyone, i plan to stay away from the bar.

is there a reason why you don't want us to know the name of this place? This could happen to any of us, it might be important to everyone on this board to know what places would do us harm if we got hit in front of the unnamed establishment. Also people that read this, might spend hard earn money at this bar, and if they knew that the owner is someone who would lie about a cyclist getting hit, wouldn't want to patronize this establishment

sexy, i appreciate that concern (especially since no fewer than 8 people have asked me to name the bar for the same reason), but considering the pending lawsuit and legal ramifications i could have to deal with if something unfortunate should happen at the bar, i'd prefer the place remain unnamed. this isn't a bar many ridazz are likely to frequent, to be honest. i would like to facilitate but not participate en la revenga. viewing photos or seeing it after it's been done are good enough for me. i'd honestly like to issue a fatwa against these assholes but i don't know any local mullahs ;)
sorry guys, this has to be as on the DL as possible since i've already broadcast the revenga.
