Plastic cup alternative?

I love going to MidnightRidazz after parties, but I'm always sad to the see the trash can piled full of plastic cups.
Solution:
Bring camping mugs or travel mugs with you. Kudos to those of you doing this already!
If you're selling drinks, give a discount for those that bring mugs.
If your serving free drinks, give a raffle ticket to those bringing mugs. Give the chance to win something useful like a blinky or bicycle bell.

reusable water bottles! whether nalgene or the ones that fit in the cages on your frame.

Cups? Mugs?
1) Pour into mouth.
2) Repeat as desired.

Agreed, it's highly probable that I am orders of magnitude lazier than you . YetI do it, why can't you?
Nalgene bottles, for the hippies.
Un-named aluminum bottles for the cool people/Yuppies.

Sometimes I like to sport a re-purposed salsa jar. It's great for those formal events where they serve wine in fancy plastic cups. I pull out my spaghetti sauce jar with the label mostly pulled off and my name written in crayon. "Don't fill it all the way, just to the top of the label will be fine."

When we were up at tour de fat in portland, they had cups made out of 'corn plastic.'
They're 100% biodegradable.
You can find similar ones
here.

the only problem with the corn cups is that they're not the best at biodegrading...
Still the best solution is something that you keep with you, saving extra manufacturing energy and materials/resources (corn is a resource!)
Durable goods FTW!!!

Most people don't give a shit enough to do things like that though.
Especially when they are wasted at a party. Sometimes just urinating IN the toilet instead of on the bathroom floor is a challenging task with it's own unique obstacles.

While driving the rig, most truck stops never cared if I filled my 64oz, travel mug with Raspberry tea and not pay.
A couple times, I was about to pay and the clerk just said, "that's okay."
Since most of the fountain drinks are just concentrated syrups and carbonated water, they're usually charging for the price of the cup anyway.

Eric,
I nominate you for writing peoples' names on their cups this Friday. I know if I didn't do this I'd lose my cup in a heartbeat. Just try finding your cup in a sea of cups on the table........ exactly!!! Get a marker and put ppl names on their cup. All the sudden the consumption of plastic cups is cut in half or better!

I am so glad this came up..
We have a problem..Self Help does is not cool with us having the kegs on premises yet they said that they are not saints either so they do not mind if we mask it.
Therefore , bring your water bottle, citrus gatorade(empty),Big gulp cup etc,etc and get it filled with beer.Free Beer
Beer station will be by entrance to party.
Just adds to our style of doing things..

Glorious thread.
Bring your bottle to drink should be a rule. Just DON'T buy cups for the after parties! People can makeshift how they will obtain the beer from the keg. Tell people what's up, and they'll get it soon enough.
Also, if you wanted to have cups, getting biodegradable cups from corn or potato fibers is excellent just to SPREAD AWARENESS. This exists, it is senseless to use number 6 plastic anymore!
BYOB!
(bring your own bottle!)

Plastic cups also make good, wind-generator components.
$50,000 on a low-grade, windmill??
Aw, Hell Naw!!
I could make one out of duct-tape, coat-hangers, '75 Pinto found in the aqueduct, and them trusty, plastic cups.

That one dude at the Lights Out! ride had a killer camping cup that somehow folded flat. He told me that he got it at REI, so the next time I was in an REI store (in Santa Monica) I asked one of the guys where they kept them. He said that he knew exactly what I was talking about, but that his location didn't carry them anymore, and he told me that they were available at Magellan's.
I haven't had a chance to check there yet, but...there you go. Try Magellan's if you're interested in a kickass folding cup for camping and cycling.

Great ideas! Save that beer bottle, corn cups and folding cups.
I like the
just don't provide any cups and let'm figure it out idea the best.
How about a flask of moonshine?
Also, bring a water key for refilling your water bottle at all-night gas stations, schools, office parking lots or other places with faucets requiring a key. Pliers may also work if you can unscrew the top of the faucet.
