will someone with outstanding warrants risk arrest if they attend the lapd ride?any lawyers with advise?asking this for a friend of mine by the way.thanks
Dingo
I am not a lawyer, but I would reckon if there is one place that someone with an outstanding warrant won't get harassed....it is at the LAPD memorial ride.
Also, what a great story to tell the judge when you finally have to deal with the warrant. "Your honor, I did ride on the Randy Simmons memorial ride." Then whip out some pictures of you and the cops at the memorial ride. I bet you get a light sentence.
I've honored a a couple of motorcycle cops who've fallen in the line of duty over the years and I've never yet seen an on-duty cop at a memorial ride who was doing anything other than escorting. But no one is going to make any promises, and if you were to get into a traffic accident, someone would likely run your ID, but they are certainly not going to be looking for violations of any kind.
forgot about you freakin feds!im pretty sure my friend will make the lapd ride.he's just gonna have to skip out early so he can make it to work.ill be sure to bring a camera to document it.
Why git yer tissy up in eh huesel?!?

Maybe you should post a photo of your friend, so we can help our friends at the LAPD, bring your friend to justice. They will just bring your friend to the justice system. Truth will prevail, and the scales of liberty and justice will weight out the situation of your friend.
Tell your friend, to come out, and overcome the fear. I'm familar with your friends situation, if he/she gets caught, it just county jail, its no big deal. I doubt they will be running names.
