I believe we have everything we're looking for EXCEPT for a generator and lights....If you guys know of anyone, lemme know, and we may just have ourselves a nice Prom.

Some Home Depots do have them for rent, but there isn't a very high do-it-yourself population downtown, so there aren't many HD's w/ tool rental departments. Try a party rental place maybe? If we I can always markdown an extension cord or two if someone can bring a few power strips. Holla.

wait wait, I dont think that warehouse is gonna work for a few reasons.
1. Generator
2. lighting
3. people do kinda live there
we'd have to ask them. I dont mind busting me ass tonight to get it all situated by tomorrow though. Either way, we will have dance parties at each of the stops which as we all know is always fun....and I hear there might even be a kissing booth. woo.

Just for you to consider.
If all else does not work out.You can ride to "Under Spring" as the end stop and dance there.
Guard said they allow anyone at anytime to hang out.Plenty of light.
They dont kick you out unless you are breaking law or damaging property.(No visible alcohol).One visible can can spoil it.
Find juice,water bottles for your booze and pull the trailer in there.
Again, just for you to have another option.

Olvera St. was just fine at All City Toy Rides but I have been there more than once after closing (10pm 11pm?) and the Security were total assholes.
We were ending a ride there and just regrouping for a few mins and the security were total dicks.
Not sure which way it will go but we should have a back up plan at the least.
That gazebo would be awesome for romantic prom portraits.

what is the route like? how long is it and are there a lot of hills. a couple of friends are thinking about coming, but they dont ride a lot and dont have gears on their bikes.

Brassknuckle is doing the route, so it should be fine as a regular ridazz style route, however I think anyone riding a cruiser type bike might have some issues regardless of the route.

Dan and I really wanted to Gazebo up first but the bridge is closed and the route we'd have to take would just be really difficult plus like 2 pretty big hills which wouldn't be fun for people who just want to cruise. Don't worry kids, it will be fun.

I'll be doing POLAROID prom photos. For whoever wants them.
for those you you who's first camera was a barbie digital let me point out that this process produces an actual photogrpahic print in about a minute. When it drys it will be placed in a beautifully printed card holder and you can ride away with it in your messenger bag.

Riss did up a nice little route. The beginning has a hill (no way around it due to the start location) but the rest should be no problem. We will stop at a 7-11 about a mile from the start just to make sure everyone catches up after the hill and let people stock up on the drink of their choice.

Regular Mike has offered to help with the photos, I could still an additional hand or two with the photo thing.
* peeling polaroids
* coating the polaroids
* making sure they dry safely with out getting pawed and dirty
* placing them in a card holder with photo corners
* making sure they wind up in the hands of the people who got ther picture taken.

Going West on Los Feliz?
That hill is murder for lots of people.
A way around it would be:
South on Riverside
Right on Glendale
Right on Rowena
Still a bit hilly but much less so.
Also we need to remind people who drive to ONLY PARK ON THE STREET on Riverside, south of los Feliz. The parking lots south of the fountain and across the street close at 10 PM. Then they start giving tickets and towing cars.
What happened last time was as we were about to leave at 10PM we saw the tow trucks and everybody had to get back to their cars and find new places to park.
I live 3 miles away so it wouldn't make sense to drive but I don't know how I'm going to carry all the election beer I promised.

hey marino, that's already the route. but glendale is still a bit of a hill so the stop will be at rowena and hyperion just to make sure everyone catches up

the rest of the route isn't hilly. it's just one small one right at the beginning. no one will get dropped. we will wait for everyone even if you have to walk it.

You have to remember, I only brought the essential clothes (shirts, jeans, dressy stuff) and nothing funky! To my name out here I have (1) Macbook Pro, (3) pairs of jeans, (3) bikes - Scott Road, Bianchi Mt and a GT 20" I picked up that needs a seat post now, numerous t-shirts, boxers and socks, and 5 pairs of shoes. My brother might be rocking his baby blue sport coat if he comes.

the ride was good..really.really.When riders are getting home at 5:30am, consider it a fucken proper ride.I got a $50 parking ticket but who gives.

I found some big creepy black gloves with a few small tears placed on top of my bike basket which was parked on the little island in the middle of the circle of death at Mac Arthur park. If they belong to you or a friend, let me know and i'll return them.

According to Steve, Nelson is still in the emergency room. He looked to be sedated and restrained. They took him to USC Medical, i'm guessing that's the same as General Hospital.
Could someone go in and check on him that knows his family?

Trickmilla, I lost some gloves in MacArthur park, though I don't remember them being overly creepy or having small tears, but it was a long night. They are mostly black with red accents. I took a closer look at the gloves.
Pearl Izumi gloves Black with grey printing
bottoms look leathery and have a grippy pattern.
The tops are spandexy and they have pretty long cuffs.
The left glove has 3 rips on the pinkie revealing white stuffing and another tear on the ring finger. the right glove is in better shape.
