We're doing it this Friday.

This friday LACM stalks caucus on the black plains of angels. When the carosaurus bellows we are the frenzied screams that answer back.
This ride is highly hijackable, all inclusive, very obtrusive, bring your mother, race your brother tell no one not to tell everyone that LACM rocks your two-wheeled world.
The only voting that counts is the voting done in the saddle, while riding, mega-screaming, face grinning; one rider left behind is all riders left behind.
Come one, come all; scheduleless people of the foot party known as cycling!! We will ride past 7-Eleven, we will perform feats of death at 7-Eleven, we will ride with 7-Eleven, FUCK, we may not even stop at 7-Eleven........THAT'S the madness sure to erupt when the blood of caucus are spilled in the name of CRITICAL MASS!
Eric Hair02.26.08 - 11:27 pm
reply
Actually our first stop might be Bogies Liquor (Wide assortment of 40's. Donut shop next door, bathrooms at the adjacent Burger joint) Let's face it, 7-Eleven on Wilshire has been getting all our money and they never show us any real love. Besides we should spread the wealth.

I'm going to be in from NY. Never been to LA and I'm trying to do this ride. Anybody want to let me borrow a bike? I'm serious. Please.

Most us only have one working bike.... we all have parts but not a complete bike lying around.
You can buy a cheap beater, http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv/bik/587132753.html
use it for the LACM and tooling around town, then sell it or give it away before you go back to NYC.

yes it was.
USER1, you get nothing from me. I once thought I would offer you a 'hard time', but that is no longer available.
You bring nothing, you give nothing, you just want to take, take, take.
The Firefox spelling suggestion was made long before by Borfo.
By the way firefox's US English dictionary is the most limited spell check I have ever used.
So the offer of barter is denied. It wouldn't have even been a barter anyways, you gave me advice that was already posted here.
Ego lessons, that not what you need. Ego, is that left hand slap to me ,USER1? It's not funny. If you really want me to give you the lesson in life that would do you some good. I will consider it. You have to really want it. My experience with you, tells me that it is something that you would never embrace.
I will give you a teaser. Without it, you could never keep hold of a women.
sexy02.27.08 - 1:17 pm
reply
Yes sir! That's why they call me the reaper! Take take take LOL
You're right! Spell check would DUE you no good!
And I asked for a ego lesson cause I would like to know how to be able to NOT say "my bad" or "sorry" and continue on like nothing ever was wrong. I don't need a life lesson, but thanks for the offer.
Finally who saids I'm trying to keep a woman? Who saids I don't value my freedom more? Here's a lesson for you, but I'm sure you know this by now with your father. With every partnership there's some thing you give up, it's called freedom. Sure you may gain something that you don't have with freedom, but that is not a guarantee.
User102.27.08 - 1:31 pm
reply
there is no reason to say "my bad" or "sorry" and continue on like nothing ever was wrong, when it is a grammar or spelling error, its doesn't really hurt anybody.
When somebody is looking to poke, make fun of other, put the another person down for a grammar or spelling error, then there is especially no reason for the person who made the grammar error to even recognize it, its been brought to the person attention already, NEGATIVELY.

LACM will probably do a quick rest stop at the Beverly Gardens Park on Santa Monica Blvd and Beverly Drive, probably between 9:30pm and 10pm That would be the perfect place to join with the Venice Critical Mass. Then we could do a "Circle of Death" in Beverly Hills together. We could ride around the area enmasse for a while, then the VCM can take off and return to the beach, while LACM can head back towards their start point.

What happened at Highland and Hollywood with the guy in the black SUV. He came out of his car, which was surrounded by the "Circle of Death", and confronted three riders. Did it get ugly? Damn, the tourists were snapping so many pictures it looked like a Britney Spears paparazzi swarm.

AWSOME NIGHT!!!!!!! The best CM since I started riding, we had a estimate of about 150 peeps! Thanks Barley and Annie for your playlists. BBD, always great to see you riding, I know you weren't planning on coming. Brass, luckily you told those other 2 people what to do, cause I would of been looking for a fireplace in side your pad. I dont know, dont ask, it just made sense at that time! Brass did everything turn out o.k.? Dont forget to charge up the battery for the RHPS tonight.

HE?
I guess that ok, your friend is from San Fransisco right. When you have a certain something, with a certain someone, it shouldn't matter what they are. I'm just happy for the experience.
You think we could stop by donut shops more often. I wish your friend was around for that bad idea, donut shop ride. Maybe I'll do my own tour de donut shops of LA,

Your right Annie, it's just another social network used to gather information about lifestyle and spending habits so it can be used to market products and services.

If you have an extra one, hit me up with it at the next ride.

SKD, I might be able to find you another sticker. I usually give away everything I make, often forgetting to keep one for myself. Every month is something different, so to those that didn't get a sticker, next month will be exclusively March LACM stickers.
If anyone has pics of the stickers in use, post 'em post 'em post 'em. Like I said, I rarely keep one for myself, so it's good to be able to visit them, even if it's just online.
Rad ride, rad people.
Love you all.

No prob Eric. You do good work on those stickers. I have the one from last month. Who knew the turnout was going to be so huge this time and the demand for those stickers so great.
Anyway, I am sure the March one will be just as cool.

My favorite pic is the one of the black SUV stranded in the middle of the Hollywood and Highland, surrounded by the Circle of Death.
It is metaphorically poetic.

It's not a matter of being scanner-less in a matter of me not being able to process my own color negatives...but i'll do my best to get that shit to wallgreens before next month's CM and put them on here/ flickr just for you.

James,
Thanks for the Gelsons tip, but I live in the 'hood. I see the cashiers drinking at the local bars....drinking a lot by the way. So I will refrain from pilfering any items.
Carry the film of the LACM with you, if I see you at work, hand it off to me. .I'll take it in Walgreens and have it developed. I will then scan all the pics and bring you a CD and the prints.
