Cheap parking around the Sheraton

In downtown LA.
I'm taking the CHP written exam there at 8AM and I need to know if there's an area I could park the car without getting ticketed.
Or, the other alternative is to come down to one of the rides tonight, park it near one of your places, and just ride down to the testing location.
I figured since CDCR is flopped until March '09, I might as well give this agency a shot.

The public library downtown has a real reduced rate with validation. There's also park and ride or park and ride the DASH.

By the looks of things, I'll be joining up with everyone for Angelopes afterwards.
Perhaps I'll just park near, or at that start-point.
Eh, the burdens of living out here.

The Sheraton is close to the Metro Station on 7th and Figueroa. Park at any Metro station and make your way Downtown. The $5 all metro day pass will be cheaper than parking 20 minutes downtown.

you could park by my house. It's about 1.5 miles from the Sheraton downtown and we will be leaving my place around 12:30 to ride to the start of Los Angelopes.

Your idea sounds a little safer as far as parking tickets go.
I'll prol'ly be there around 7AM to park it.
The test itself starts at 8am, and ends around 11am/12pm.
Thanks for the suggestion.

Relax, it's just a written test.
Besides, unless you're bombing down the freeway, you'll have slim chances of seeing me on duty if I ever get into that uniform.

you can park in residential Chinatown for free...and walk to the Dash bus and take it to downtown

Hey Bents
Have you ever thought about the LA Sheriffs? you can work in the jail, and have time to study college course while you sit in one of those booths.
Just don't start calling me Wood!

I thought about LASD, but I kind of like the thought of patrolling some lone, desert stretch of highway.
Not to mention there's little, to no chance of myself being put into a judgment call in regards to an incident with MR.
All in all, these are things I've never actually thought about before I became involved with the MR-experience.
But, at the same time, a job's a job, I guess.
